Wow. Just wow.
This is a disaster of epic proportions!
The likely outcome after this.
Mo leaves in Jan.
We buy Semenyo and Guei in Jan
Slot stays till the end of the season
We finish outside of the top 4
No FA Cup run
No CL run
That's my predictions anyway.
Slot does not seem to want to change his style
Players are not happy behind the scenes. for whatever reason
Board are stuck between dammed if we do and dammed if we don't.

It’s been a bizarre few hours to say the least, Salah and Dom basically coming out saying Slot has lost the dressing room in different ways, Slot basically being the new Roy Hodgson of excuses and LFC going from champions to relegation form.
I personally think Salah maybe jumped the mark going public with what he said, he’s a senior figure who in fairness has not been up to his standard this season - so far.
However form is always temporary and we don’t know what is happening behind the scenes, what is going on in training etc which means his form isn’t great. Maybe it’s the fact none of the players are fit?
Salah may not have been up to his normal form but which player actually has, and as soon as the heat starts turning up slot drops him yet keeps many other under performing stars on the pitch, and drops the striker we have who isn’t and firing for one that again isn’t fit!
I personally think Slot has gambled by benching Salah and scapegoating him due to who he is. Dom spoke out and then Salah just went nuclear.
It’s sad watching LFC be like this, but Hughes now needs to show why he’s in the position he is and resolve this quickly, I still think Slot is not a serial winner, he is not committed enough to LFC and has far to many interest in the wrong areas to be successful, if anything it was a surprise to win the league last year and with the spend and squad build we should at the very least be challenging again, the tactics are garbage, players are not fit and by sounds of it he doesn’t have the man management skills to explain why players are being dropped.
Rewatching games and interviews you can tell the body language of many players isn’t right, getting rid of Salah won’t solve this, it’s time for Slot to move on and get someone in who can get the players fit, firing and challenging.
Whether Salah stays or goes for me is irrelevant he’s not the problem, he shouldn’t of done a Ronaldo and did what he did but he’s given a lot to this team and feels aggrieved which going on how slots other picks are just as bad form wise I understand why he did.
This can only really end one way, if hughes doesn't see slot as the problem I can see Hughes’s and Slot moving on at the end of the season, as this is not going to end well with slot showing no sign of wanting to change.
07 Dec 2025 07:28:45
I don't know about the dressing room but Slot has lost me.

{Ed's Note - Tusole has posted a new article entitled, Chelsea's Delap Struggles to Convince
07 Dec 2025 00:27:36
Ed - in a post yesterday I asked about the FSG chain of command from the Money men in the states down to Edwards, Hughes, Slott etc and when and if they might have to step in .
You mentioned in your answer that if they become unhappy with the personal they hired IE Edwards, Hughes they might have too .
The club is in as big as mess in every department as I’ve seen for quite a while - probably since the days of Hicks and Gillet and with Mo’s inflammatory remarks earlier their “brand “ isn’t in danger of becoming a disaster it’s now a full blown one and will they feel the need to step up very soon and bring Edwards and Hughes’s into question - the club and fans deserve some sort of indication on how this sh*t show rights itself!
Whatever people think of Mo’s reaction tonight he’s lit the fuse in my opinion on an already disintegrating set up and all this before a massive game against Inter where a result is imperative to our CL progress ( we’ve not got an easy run of games in that competion )
lose against Inter with moral at breaking point and I can’t see any other outcome in Slott having to go just to enable a total reset to try and restore some form of positivity to get us something out of the season . A cup run perhaps but anything is better than this
Mo’s arrogance at times makes him the winner and great player he is and for me if he leaves in Jan which leaves him a couple of games to go then he l should be able to go on his terms with a bit of dignity - he’s been an all time great and the funny thing is his best two games were the teams best two games when we played with a concentrated press at tempo to his strengths - I totally get his anger.
{Ed001's Note - this will certainly catch their attention. Hard to know how they will react without knowing them personally, but 2 players gave interviews which basically said that Slot has lost the dressing room. In a very different way by Dom, but it was clear what he was saying as well. I would very much expect them to start putting pressure on Edwards and Hughes to fix this now, at the very least. Hughes is going to have to go all in on Slot or make the change. Personally, I think we will start to hear whispers of them looking at other managers and getting prepared to wield the axe.}
07 Dec 2025 07:29:45
I don’t think this one will blow over, agree with your assessment Ed. Even though things shouldn’t be dealt with in the way they were last night it’s just a symptom of how low we’ve sunk as a club.
I’ve thought for a while the style of play, particularly at home, just isn’t right for us and now I also think the style of leadership more generally isn’t right. That’s both on and off the pitch.
In data driven corporates you wonder do they know how to communicate with each other and also exercise common sense in decision making. The standards have slipped massively in a lot of aspects of the club right now.
{Ed025's Note - i agree Hugo..
07 Dec 2025 07:52:21
Salah's comments have definitely lit the fuse. I dislike players airing out dirty linen out in public so I would say that Salah was bang out of order with that. But somehow I feel that it was very much needed. Slot has lost the dressing room completely and the players no longer believe in him. I don't think it's displayed to just Salah but Vvd has been looking increasingly frustrated during matches.
And from Dom's comments too, it shows that things aren't right. People will turn on Salah, and rightfully so, but I think the spotlight should be on Slot now. Our poor form has gone on for way too long and if he has lost the players, we would never be able to turn it around unless he goes.
07 Dec 2025 06:37:59
Keep seeing posts from people who appear to be ITK saying Slot is safe for now. How on earth is that the case? The team is imploding. The tactics, style of play, performances and results are atrocious, the players are now turning on him and he flat out refuses to change.
After the game he said " at 3-2 up we didn't need to score again but to control the game". How has he not learned that in this league you always need to score again. Its a joke. The board are now being negligent in my opinion . If they think this is salvageable they are sorely mistaken.
07 Dec 2025 07:23:19
I don't think he's wrong. The problem is that these days we have no idea how to control a game or to keep our heads when things are going wrong. Which on one level is understandable given how low confidence is and how badly things have gone against us for the last two months, we could be 4-0 up at half time and it would still be a toss up whether we can survive the rest of the game.
07 Dec 2025 07:39:12
Because other than Carra the rest of the “ITK” have got nothing right, they literally repeat each others posts or put stuff on here to get attention which is clearly BS.
How can anyone know 15 mins after a game “slot is safe” then the Mo interview and Dom interview hits and he’s “on thin ice” an hour later. It’s all posturing and nonsense, the only ITK I will listen to is Carra as he’s go way more right than any of the rest of these people with sources…. Funny how they all came out the wood work at the sad passing of Ed2.
07 Dec 2025 07:43:30
He has changed it.
Salah didn't play and Szob has moved further forward. Mac was left out for Jones. Ekitike started and Isak didn't.
We just don't have the players where we really need them.
07 Dec 2025 07:48:55
I read that as well and that's unacceptable at this level of the game. To hold on to a one goal lead and not try to score at all or out pressure in the other team is just asking for trouble.
We don't need to score but we at least need a threat. Removing all our attackers and leaving Isak isolated up front was poor. And they scored from that passivity as well.
07 Dec 2025 05:27:57
I've just watched the Mo Salah interview and the Szoboszlai post match one.
Mo can have no complaints, he has been dropped due to his form, he has started and played 90 minutes week in week out based on a very well earnt reputation in the hope that he will come through the bad patch but it just hasn't happened. Instead of knuckling down and being a leader he talks of leaving. Conflicts behind the scenes? we will never fully know but things can turn sour in small groups very quickly.
Just give Dom the armband.
Forget about Brighton next weekend we have Inter on Tuesday, I wouldn't be suprised if Mo doesn't travel, I reckon Slot will not want to back down.
Its all a bit of a mess right now.
And if there is the slightest chance anyone can pass a message on to Arne, for the love of god please start Chiesa or even Rio instead of Gakpo.
07 Dec 2025 06:44:56
Oh be quiet. Just because Dom is the in form player and runs a bit more he deserves the armband. Utter rubbish.
07 Dec 2025 07:34:34
Captains his national team and clearly our best player - be a good choice for me.
07 Dec 2025 07:45:40
'Oh be quiet'?
You don't know how a forum works, do you, Kippers? Do a bit of research, lad.
07 Dec 2025 00:19:46
Wow. Just wow. I cannot believe what is happening to this club. From champions and major money spent improving all areas to a monumental capitulation in individual performances, team ethic and drive, tactical approach and now worst of all, team unity. I wonder if Klopp regrets leaving seeing what has happened to us without him.
I don't think we'll even see Salah on the bench again after that interview. Legend no doubt but you can't have a player doing that.
Think he's gone unless Slot goes first and the replacement wants Salah to stay.
Eds - do you think Salah's outburst might actually buy Slot some more time to repair this? I. e getting a pity vote for clearly having to deal with dressing room issues from supposed problem players that might soon be gone? I hope not personally, Slot and Salah both gone for me. End of an era ay.
{Ed025's Note - look Mo has been a brilliant player for Liverpool Westwood but you cant go public like that mate, yes i understand his frustration but in all honesty he has not deserved a place this season imo, he says he has been thrown under the bus but for me he has thrown Slot under the bus if anything, i cant see a way back for him now which is a shame really..
07 Dec 2025 06:46:38
Nonsense Ed, if he’s back playing in a system that meets the strengths of his qualities he’ll be free scoring and assisting again. Slot reminds me of Rafa’s frailties as a manager: stubborn.
{Ed025's Note - no one is saying Slot blameless FK but Mo has been given more than enough chances this season mate and he has not delivered, who the hell does he think he is?, i for the life of me cant see how you can defend him on this and its attitudes like this that are the real problem, Salah is totally out of order and being billy big Bollox is doing him no favours at all..
07 Dec 2025 06:57:34
I think it’s a tough one ed0025.
If you take Salah at face value then he’s asked the questions behind closed doors and he hasn’t got any answers.
He’s also been dropped for three consecutive games and seen other players who have been in worse form starting. Salah has been poor this season by his standards but as I’ve said on other posts Macca and Konate have been far worse. Konate is actively harmful right now and shouldn’t be anywhere near the team.
So whether you agree with him going public or not - he is being made a scapegoat, that’s true. You only need to look at slots initial bizarre defence of Konate last night- "What you can say is he [Ibrahima Konate] tries to prevent the cross from coming. If you want to call it a mistake, it's a mistake from hard work and trying. There was contact that's for sure. The player was already going to the floor”.
I think Mo is likely feeling he’s been pushed out and just gone sod it I’m taking him with me.
{Ed025's Note - im not saying you dont have problems Wassa a blind man can see that you do, some players like the ones you have mentioned have been awful mate but Salah is one of those, no player (or manager) is bigger than the club and any gripes you have should be sorted behind closed doors...thats the Liverpool way..
07 Dec 2025 07:20:53
I agree with you Ed. Regardless of the player you can't do that. Smacks of either pure stupidity, not caring what will happen or genuinely thinking he is bigger than the club, which again would either be stupid or naive.
{Ed025's Note - the thing is Westwood he says the club gave him assurances...what exactly were these assurances mate?..that he could give away the ball all the time, blaze the ball over the bar when other team mates were in a better position or that he doesn,t have to track back?, dont get me wrong hes not the only problem but he has done nothing to suggest he deserves a starting place to me, and then he goes public!!, do me a favour Mo...get out of your own arse..
07 Dec 2025 07:52:40
Yeh . for me slah should have stayed quiet .
You can't go public like that. He deserves to be dropped . not saying he deserves to be sold or pushed out. but definately dropped.
This is no longer a bad blip in form. This is terminal.
Get the axe sharpened and start welding it.
07 Dec 2025 02:10:50
Personally I thought giving Salah a contract was a mistake. He was never going to replicate last season's form and should have been allowed to leave. Especially given we have a number of players who can play on that side, who do also put the work in defensively and would also play more like the orthodox winger that we clearly need for Hugo/ isak
But Salah crying in the press is something the club shouldn't tolerate, a distinct lack of respect to the club that just gifted him a contract which he's currently not earning at all. I'm not a big slot fan either but it's not a players job to slate the manager in the press, its literally bad for everyone involved.
Pick a Liverpool manager from the past and none would put up with it except maybe Roy or Brenda. Salah should be reminded he plays for the club, not the other way around.
07 Dec 2025 04:15:11
You won't be saying that when the 100m comes in for him,
07 Dec 2025 04:45:40
And pick any manager from the past, none would have treated Salah the way Slot is right now. And none would have put Salah in a position where he actually needed to go into an interview and say what he said. Maybe the way he went about it was wrong, but what he said wasn’t. He IS being made to look like a scapegoat for our poor form. There are other players who have played just as badly, or even worse, but they keep getting picked week in, week out.
Konate is an accident waiting to happen every game, but he keeps getting picked. Macca is another one. Isak gets picked even when he’s not fit, over an in-form Ekitike. How many times has Chiesa saved us this season, yet Gakpo keeps getting picked ahead of him? Liverpool is in a mess, but it’s not because of this Salah interview.
{Ed025's Note - dont try and defend the indefensible Mfahmee, he has been a great player yes but you have to earn your place mate and Mo has not lately, nobody is bigger than the club and for me Salah is being a complete prick by going public the way he has, well thats my view anyway..
07 Dec 2025 06:22:13
Funny how everyone now is saying Salah shouldn’t have got a new contract when in January and everyone was rubbishting a brick that he would leave. I guess hindsight makes geniuses out of all of us.
07 Dec 2025 07:27:08
And what about of Konate Ed? What has he done this season to earn his place in the team week in, week out? He has been a disaster, more so than Salah, but keeps getting picked anyway. What about Macca, VVD and Gakpo etc.? If in my office my boss kept picking this one colleague even though he kept making mistakes, I would be pissed too.
His point is about him being made to look like a scapegoat for this Liverpool poor form, and it is true. And when he said the 'club' threw him under the bus, I think he meant the likes of Hughes and Slot etc, not the entire club itself. He's been at the club for 8 years, Ed, how many times has he done something like this? Calling him a complete prick is a bit excessive, don't you think?
{Ed025's Note - a lot of them have been terrible Mfahmee and that includes Salah mate..and the manager, but what you dont do is go Public to the press and throw the manager under the bus, and for that he is being a prick imo..
07 Dec 2025 07:42:34
Whether we agree with the choices he makes or not, the manager always, always has the right to bench a player if he thinks it gives him a better chance of winning a football game. Surely as a professional football player you accept this.
I love Mo as much as anybody on this site but what he did was bang out of order, it only brings more negativity to our club by airing dirty laundry in public, how is coming out and saying what he said going to help the team that he supposedly loves? He is effectively giving the club an ultimatum saying they have to choose between him and the manager.
Some of you hate Slot so much that you're going to defend Mo doing something like this just because it increases the likelihood that Slot will be forced out. For me that's not at all my concern, my concern is my club being dragged in the mud because of this sort of nonsense.
For so long we have been a club that has been built upon togetherness, trust and camaraderie, Mo is perfectly within his rights to feel hard done by being benched three games in a row, he's perfectly within his rights to feel like his relationship with Slot has collapsed, but to do what he did at a time like this, it's not in keeping with the standards, ethos and culture of our beloved club.
I don't know what to say beyond that, and I don't agree with people taking sides between Slot and Salah, for me the whole situation just makes me very sad to be a Liverpool fan more than anything.
{Ed025's Note - spot on PB..
07 Dec 2025 01:22:15
I’m in the know, I’m in the know. I said Salah was going to bench slot today and it happened.
07 Dec 2025 02:37:19
Im in the know too. I know we are garbage at the minute!
07 Dec 2025 04:15:05
So you’re saying Slot was never going to start today, well done mate.
07 Dec 2025 00:40:18
According to a few websites I've looked at Iraola is sat on under 2m per year in wages meaning we'd not have to pay much to get him out of the club. He's stated he's ambitious and wants a bigger club.
Even Carragher said on the Overlap the other day he thinks he's the next big one to make a jump. Style is very similar to ours. I'd be making contact and bringing him in.
07 Dec 2025 02:34:12
Not sure we want a manager whose style is very similar to ours.
07 Dec 2025 04:16:06
Style is very similar to ours? Does he play limp, supermarket music and train rondo's endlessly?
07 Dec 2025 00:26:39
Fully expect Brighton to beat us at home next week too.
VVD and Konate are both liabilities along with Macca in the middle, and Bradley at RB.
07 Dec 2025 02:25:54
We looked ok til macca came on? And Bradley wasn’t on the pitch for any of the goals.
07 Dec 2025 05:55:29
The real liability is slot.
