Not sure it is time to panic - just yet. There are some concerns though.

1. We have a small squad - 25 according to transfermarkt I think which is the smallest in the league other than West Ham (24). Same as Arsenal, one less than city but far smaller than Chelsea (33), Brighton (30), Newcastle (31). Even Forest (27) is bigger and they are just competing in 2 competitions.
2. Of the 24 I think Slot does not trust Endo, Elliot, Chiesa, Morton, Qnuansah very much, so in reality we are competing with less players than other clubs in more competitions.
3. Not sure we have a lot in the transfer kitty - we were negative in the transfer market fund for the 3 years prior to 2024 (-230K) - we don't tend to get much for players we sell or move them on too late e. g. City are -16K in same 4 years
4. Our form post December in the last couple of years can fall off a cliff.
5. Contracts for the main 3 a distraction we could do without.

I started saying it wasn't the time to panic and it isn't if:

1. We sign at least one player to challenge the starting midfield to prevent burnout - not sure we can afford more than one starter - would be nice to have another CB/ LB. May need Owners to put in funds due to PSR rules here or sell (Doak? - I'd hate to see it! ) .
2. Slot puts more trust in the players that have little to no game time - not all at once, pick and choose for Morton, Elliot and Endo
3. We exit or play a second string in the FA cup competition whether against Accrington or any of the top sides in the next round.
4. We sort one or two of the contracts ASAP.

All to play for. Think its a 3 horse race for title - I wouldn't rule Forest out due to having just one game per week like Leicester a couple of years back. can't see all 3 collapsing to allow City back in. Just hope we aren't one of the ones to falter.

I’m not sure he trusts a few of the others in the squad either. Could maybe add the Greek, goalkeeper (s), Nunez to the list. That could get us to closer to 16 which is about right, of which you’d expect or hope to have 13/ 14 fit most of the time.

The first team squad are "Rinsed" nothing in the Tank, new blood is required and less games, Forest are doing so well because they have had no other football primarily than the Premier, The European Cup run is taking it's toll i would suggest.

Do you want to play less games and not be in the European Cup, 007?
That'll will be enticing when we are recruiting new blood. We could say we are following The Forest Model.

Jonb, Chelsea have a squad of 25 players + players from their academy. Just to back that up they’ve only used 25 different players this season whereas Liverpool have used 23.

If anyone's panicking then, that's their choice.

Hello rigsby, said at the start of the season all out for the Premier, play all cup games squad players only, better one major trophy than none, would not like to finish second because of player fatigue, the amount of games causes tiredness, more chances of injury cos your playing 3 games a week, forest play one, throw in internationals as well, don't think many forest players play regular internationals. Better chances for the Prem than Europe are my feelings, as not all our premier opponents will be as good as the knock out stage opponents in Europe, don't want visions of atalanta again, all that way for nothing in the end.

007, I bet you weren't saying that about Forest at the beginning of the season. And I bet you didn't think we'd be six points clear with a game in hand in January either.
Saying that, I'd take the League and nothing else, if I had to choose.
