Not saying our league position is perfect, or we will win the league, but this weekend just shows how quickly things can look brighter. Maybe city won't drop anymore points, maybe they will and maybe we won't capitalise, but maybe, just maybe they will feel a bit more pressure and who knows what kloop can get out of these boys. I also think we have done well since the trio have been at the afcon. Not lost a league game and now in a final. The future is bright, the future is kloop. Ynwa.
{Ed0666's Note - we have done Supremely well without the African lads, the lads that have been injured and suffering from covid. We need to stop feeling sorry for ourselves and go on a run and try and out some pressure on the mancs.with a full healthy squad hopefully after the international break.

Robertson looked back to his best today, superb performance.
Matip looked a bit shaky, not quite his usual self.
3 points in the bag and that final to look forward to.

Fair play to the squad it’s been perfect result wise without the Afcon lads. Cup final and 2 league wins even if we rode our luck today.
We’ve proven we can win games without Mane and Salah but if their contacts don’t get sorted we’ll soon find out if we can manage without them over 50 games rather than 5.
And yes no player is bigger than the club and the club will always carry on. But you only have to look from 1990-2015 to see what happens when you can easily go from the top of the mountain am also ran.

A big shout to our Brazilian goalkeeper today too.
Without him we're not getting 3 points. We'd have been lucky to share the spoils.
De Gea did the same for United yesterday, 2 cracking goalkeeping performances this weekend that had a major influence on the end result.
I'd still rather have Alisson, far better all rounder.

Said it before and i’ll say it again; we can win all of our remaining league games IF we can field a first choice midfield in every game (any combination of Fabinho, Henderson, Thiago, Elliott and Jones) . However, if we have to continue to play Ox, Keita and Milner in league games then it won’t happen. Not a chance. If we win all of our games it’s only 3 points to make up. I’m just not sure we can keep the players fit enough to sustain it.

We've been playing Ox regularly recently and have kept the winning streak going. Not sure what he's supposed to be doing wrong to be honest.

FlashTheRed, I was about to say the same thing in response to AW. Ox simply cannot get a break on here. He has been playing decent and performing well overall and scored his two in two and the slander comes out. He doesn't play well and the slander is there. Maybe these people should make up their minds on what they wan the kid to do cos regardless of how well he plays, it won't matter to them. Sad.

He’s not playing in midfield at the moment though is he lads. He has filled in well in Salah’s absence though, better than Minamino has.
