Absolutely loved the celebration by Tsimikas when the Legend scored.
That's why we love this club. because it just matters that much. fantastic.

Fair play to Origi. I’ve never bought into this Origi won us the CL and i do think he should have done so much more at the club in the 7 years he’s been here.

But hats off and Big Div take a bow. That goal today won’t win us the league but it could play a big part in it. I thought Thiago chasing the wolves player back and winning the ball was pure grit and determination and then Vvd’s ball and Salah’s first touch were world class. Origi’s turn and finish was then special and the lad should enjoy all the plaudits he gets today and this week.

I think he hadn’t scored in something like 39 sub appearances and now he has 2 goals in his last 3. Fantastic for the lad.

{Ed0666's Note - Origi didn’t win is the CL but he comes pretty damn close.

An infuriating player Origi, there is a very decent player in there but other than in 2016 when he had a run before his injury in the derby he doesn't look like he can reproduce consistently.

Was thinking it was going to be one of those bad days and missed opportunities especially when Jota missed a sitter, but cue Divvy stepping up to be legend again.

{Ed0666's Note - Klopp just said he hopes divvy finds him a manager that plays divvy more than him. If that’s not a hint of what’s happening in the summer I don’t know what is?

I am surprised he didn't go in the summer, was it no manager fancied him or was he priced out? regardless I agree it does seem he will be off, but let's hope after making a telling contribution between now and then.

Expect him to start at AC Milan, alongside the Ox and Tyler Morton.

I’d keep him as long as he wants to stay. Having a player happy to sit on the bench who can come on and grab a goal despite barely playing is not a bad thing.

Origi will probably go end of January as we need the £10m. Not sure we can afford to let him leave for free in the summer.

Takumi,

I can’t help but agree. I just wish he had more aggression in him, he has all the skill in the world but needs to start bullying centre backs and be more physical - shy boys get nothing

I can’t help but think he will be moved on and be replaced by Adams Traore either in January or next summer.

He’s scored 21 goals in 123 appearances. Take into account he’s been with the club for 8 yrs on around 3 mil a year that 1.14m a goal!

To be fair PegLeg, stats can be misleading.

If you instead said that he has scored 21 goals in 34 starts for Liverpool, that would equally be true and a much more impressive stat.

As I said, stats can be misleading.

I wonder where Divock ranks in minutes per goal compared to other Liverpool strikers?

I regard him as the modern day David Fairclough and I would welcome him staying, to play the same role, for as long as he is happy to do so….

I think it’s a little unfair to say Divock is in furnishing and hasn’t performed to his potential. His app to goal ratio is appalling but he rarley gets a run in the team and when he does he usually score. I recently posted stating goals per minutes played and it’s about a goal every other game. Easily a solid 20-25 goal a season striker in my book and more than deserving of a place in our squad of not the starting 11 at the moment considering Manes current form IMO.
