Hi, I have been an avid reader of this site since the early Football Rumours days. Thanks for all the hard work you have put into it over the years. I have always felt that the website was a great community, and that always made the feel of the posts much nicer.

I guess I am asking for a favour here. Unfortunately my Nan Edith passed away last week at the age of 93. She had been unwell for a while, so it should have been expected. It did still come as a shock when it actually happened though. She was an avid Liverpool fan all her life.

She was brought up with her father and 3 brothers all supporting Everton, but she stayed strong and stuck with the reds. Then when she met my Grandad, even with him being a blue as well, she still staunchly supported Liverpool. I have heard great stories of them going to Anfield and Goodison together on alternate weekends, cheering on both sides during their glory days of the past.

Even in her later years with her sight failing her, I have great memories of watching games with her stood right next to the tv, cheering every goal. We had tried to get her up to Anfield for one last time in the last few years, but her health wouldn't allow it.

She was so happy when we won the Champions League last year, and I am just sad that she couldn't quite make it to see another title win! She would always ask the nurses at her home to give her the latest scores, sometimes a few times a day.

Sorry for the slight ramble, but I know the eds are well connected at the club and I was wondering if anyone had a contact or email address that I could share her story with. I know how much the club meant to her and now does to me and my parents and it would be great if we could manage to get her story heard, as I am sure she was one of a small number of female supporters still alive from her generation.

I understand if there isn't anything you can do, but I thought this would be a good avenue to try.

{Ed002's Note - I would think the best bet would be to email and start by asking for your message to be passed to the appropriate person at the club. customerservices@liverpoolfc.com }

Good luck mate, hope you get her story out there, sounds like a great granny you had. As long as you celebrate her and keep her in your mind and heart, that's all that matters.
