Expect the full press to be used on sun especially with citys makeshift back line. I hope we don't have that nervous energy going round cause we r a better side imo. Sunday we could put a big marker down and I believe if we turn up and do r thing we win easily.

I expect City to look to hit us on the counter with their pace. Teams with a lot less quality have got in behind our defence, with Aguero, Sterling and Jesus, we need to be really ok our game defensive wise!

This will be a really tough game.

We can press from the front without neglecting defence imo. Front 3 press plus gini or hendo is enuf to win it high. Just see us as a superior team all round. We do r thing we win imo.

I look at who they can play in def mid and see that as r main route of success.

Just plug all the passing lanes preventing them from passing into midfield, squeeze up the pitch and then press them from the front right there. They may choose to go long like they did in the Comm. Shield which worked for a while there BUT we have to be ready for that as well. They will not risk playing open ball vs us esp. with no true DM on the pitch, IMO.

It’s an interesting one because teams - with a lot less quality than City I hasten add, have broken our back line and got in behind our defence, luckily for us we weren’t punished.

Aguero, Jesus and Sterling are a totally different proposition.

I expect City will look to keep it tight, like last season, and rein in Walker and Mendy’s attacking forays.
Stones and Otamendi could be the centre halves which will free Fernandinho for the DM role?
First goal, as ever, could be very important.

Spot on, Juicer. I had doubts that Pep woul play Fernandinho in midfield cos Otamendi is a disaster along with Stones. But to your point, he may just use Fernandinho at DM for more protection instead of Gundogan is is not a DM and struggles there, IMO.
