I am worried the game on Sunday will be like the last game at Old Trafford. The players may be caught up in the significance of the match with City and a draw will be played out. I hope I'm proved wrong on Sunday and Liverpool win.

Spot on mate. Felt it going into the United game and I feel it now. I feel we are superior but just struggle with the occasion. Whether it’s klopp desiring to get a result or our players buckling, it’s a shame. If we get anything from this game I’ll be delighted. I also have a terrible feeling we are going to get a dodgy var decision going our way. “To balance the scales. ” I hope I’m wrong, I hope we smash them (as my alter ego would say)

OP, that is a brilliant point to bring up. We always seem to play the occasion rather than just play the game and this seems to apply to just Utd. I don't know why this is so but it is what it is. Ironically, we don't seem to have a prob. with the "occasion" whenever we play City. Even the 2-1 game we lost last season, it was a very even game and we were just brewing for a final flurry until Sane scored and even then, we could have won had we scored the Mane chance or had Kompany been rightly sent off, IMO. These are the margins we are dealing whenever we play these guys. We will see what happens.

I'd be fine with a draw. A point each against probably our biggest rival keeps us 6 points above them having played the same number of games. Could then do to win our next couple of league games after that a bit more convincingly than we've looked recently, certainly in terms of scoreline anyway.
