ED002,

Hope you're well mate!

Any intel you can give this page on discussions that Liverpool are having with Clubs that we're working on 'incoming' deals for? Any bids placed?
Im not sure if something is brewing or Liverpool are just waiting until the last couple of weeks of the market to see if price valuations potentially decrease.
Hoping you could elaborate.

Much appreciated.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any discussions with clubs right now (aside from QPR over odds and ends related to Masterson) and Liverpool will not simply be waiting.}

Do you think Liverpool could still be interested in bringing in a attacking mid or versatile forward, or have the focus moved to other areas if any?

Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - My expectations are that the club will look to a versatile attacking midfield player or wide player still.}

Ok thank you.

I'm hoping something happens with Bruno Fernandes - wishful thinking I guess.

{Ed002's Note - The sale of Fernandes is being brokereed by his agent and not his club - and he has been in London for a couple of days last week and this.}

Are we in discussion with his agent then ed002?

{Ed002's Note - There have been discussions with several clubs but right now the plan is he heads elsewhere.}

Still to united i'm guessing.

I think there is just a bit of impatience at the minute from some fans.

Especially after getting FAB so soon last season.

Maybe the club are giving the youngsters pre season (similar to Karius last year before he went all instagram crazy that made us go for Alisson) before the club make any moves in the transfer window.

Ouch! That hurts.

From what you know of him Ed do you think he would be a good signing for Liverpool?

He is obviously an excellent player but I have only ever seen him play centrally and I really do think we need someone who can play wide to cover for Mane and Salah and push them if their form drops. Unless Ox could be used out wide perhaps?

I just see other players as more suited to Liverpool right now, what's your opinion?

Cheers in advance.

{Ed002's Note - I don't expect him to be signing for Liverpool as things stand now but he is an AM and does not provide cover for the wings. He would also be a starter and Liverpool will be wary of making an expensive mistake. Regardless, Liverpool have been interested in him. I agree that there is a better option the club have an interest in who could proviude cover for the wings.}

is that man utd then ed?

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

Still need a versatile wide player and full back unless the club plans to forfeit the domestic cups again this season.
Not that the domestic cups should be a priority but it would be nice to actually go into every competition with a view to winning it. Our team selection under Klopp in the domestic cups however does not reflect that.

{Ed002's Note - The club has never forfeited any cups.}

"Forfeit the cups". The arrogance is astounding.

05 Jul 2019 12:07:43
Pepe for me all day. Although he'd want to be a starter.
I suppose everyone wants to be a starter.

11.) 05 Jul 2019
05 Jul 2019 12:17:51
Who is the other option ED?

{Ed002's Note - Maxwel Cornet.}

12.) 05 Jul 2019
05 Jul 2019 12:27:44
Now you've said that ed002, i give it 2 hours before someone has claimed we have bid for him!

13.) 05 Jul 2019
05 Jul 2019 12:33:29
I have to ask you the cheeky question then Ed002. Who is the better option, the club has interest in? Im really running low on names, who can cover for both attacking mid, wings and forward, would come at a low-risk cost and furthermore not demand a starting spot. Sounds like an interesting player.

{Ed002's Note - I have explained before about the players the club has shown an interest in such as Cornet and Fekir - but everyone has convinced themselves Mbappe, Pepe, Dybala et al are joining they have no interest in them.}

14.) 05 Jul 2019
05 Jul 2019 12:39:42
Makes sense us not pushing for Fernandes imo Ed as he is like you say a AM player were we have plenty of options already including Keïta. Cornet would make much more sense as he can cover either wing.

15.) 05 Jul 2019
05 Jul 2019 12:48:54
Just interested Ed! What makes you think he is the better option? Is it because he is more of a winger and cheaper?

{Ed002's Note - Cornet and Fekir are far more versatile than Fernandes. Again, other players who have been watched like Arnaut Danjuma and Thorgan Hazard are all adept in more than one position.}

16.) 05 Jul 2019
05 Jul 2019 12:52:56
Thanks very much for all the info ed.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome Mark.}

17.) 05 Jul 2019
05 Jul 2019 13:28:53
Ed002 does your thoughts remain that we could well go back in for Fekir then, Ed001 think it unlikely and I’m aware his club Lyon are talking to other clubs trying to sell him on.

{Ed002's Note - I think it unlikely but would not rule it out. He is being offered around.}

18.) 05 Jul 2019
05 Jul 2019 14:41:03
Even though Cornet and Danjuma are both exciting young players, none of them really aren't attacking midfielder, or? What are the chances we just give Wilson and Woodburn a go for AM and wide coverage this season?

{Ed002's Note - Cornet can certainly play as an attacking midfield and both can play on either wing. Ben Woodburn will not be at the club next season - and the club over priced Wilson blocking any sale and will take a look at him in pre-season - but they seem happy to move him on.}

"unless the club plans to forfeit the domestic cups again this season". I'm speechless. After being one point off the title despite the fact that Fabinho was only introduced half way into the season and the Ox has to come back.

I literally can't wait for this transfer window to be over so I don't have to read nonsense like this.

20.) 05 Jul 2019
05 Jul 2019 15:19:08
I think the only way we would go back to Fekir now would be if our attempts to sign the other more suited options fail and Fekir is still available towards the end of the window for a reasonable price.

05 Jul 2019 18:03:58
We didn't forfeit the domestic cups, but we did put out a weaker side in both competitions. But, regarding the league cup- all the top 4, top six now i guess, play youth players and reserves in the early rounds if not all rounds.

And it was similar with the FA cup last season.

Also, we didn't get easy draws. I think premier league teams in both. Wasn't it chelsea away and wolves away? Or was that one at home? Either way, both good teams.

I may have some of the facts regarding who knocked us out and where wrong. But I'll tell you one thing for sure; the eleven players we put out wanted to win the games and would've all put in 100% effort.

22.) 05 Jul 2019
05 Jul 2019 20:49:15
Nobody forfeits the Cups. Thai is just nonsense. The fact that you put out a weakened team does not mean you forfeited a darn thing. As someone said, the arrogance of some fans on here, is astounding.

now we have won CL I think its time we threw everything into winning the coca cola cup.
