Sadio Mané turned down United to join us when we were 8th and no European football whatsoever. Now he’s propelled us to two consecutive CL finals. That makes him a instant legend in my eyes. Love him so much.

Salah is the wonder kid and i honestly think it dented mane's confidence last season. That has changed now and we are again seeing the best of sadio.

He played on the right before Salah, maybe it took a little time to adjust also he has a little more freedom as teams are so worried about Mo. Wouldn’t swap any of our front 3.

I imagine when we signed him people were 50/ 50, but now I honestly wouldn’t swap him for anyone. His attitude ability, and all round game is incredible. Never seen a player of his stature score so many headers too!

The first game i saw mane, in pre season, i knew we had a big player. I have to admit i had rarely seen him play. don't watch saints games and didn't know it was possible to stream liverpool matches free online. The only thing i saw was a bit on match of the day.

But in that pre season game i remeber thinking "this kid is going to be massive" it was one of the first big klopp signings, one of the first clues that we were heading in a new direction.

Love him, fancy him to score tonight. I have already predicted that vvd and firmino will score so im going for a 3 1 win, maybe 4 or 5 if salah gets in on the action.

Sadio's dominance playing for Saints against us, that saw them win a game in which we previously held a 2 goal lead showed the massive potential in him.
The next transfer window, all I wished for was him and Gini (whose 4 goals in a match for Newcastle was phenomenal) to sign for us.

OP, he did not turn them down. If my memory serves me well, Mane tried to force a move from Saints to Utd in the 15/ 16 season BUT Saints stood firm. Mane started to sulk and arrive late to training and team meetings hence, was fined severely by then manager Ron Koeman. Mane even got benched for arriving late to a pregame team meeting. With the way things were going, Mane would have been at Utd had the Saints crumbled under pressure.

These were the things I was afraid of when we signed him cos I was following this story for some strange reason. Obviously, Mane matured a lot and when Klopp (who he always wanted to play for) came in for him, he pounced on the opportunity. That is how I remember the story.

I remembered it that way too, think there were issues at a previous club too. He has grown up and seems to have a great attitude now. Mane and Virg have easily been Liverpools best 2 outfield players this season.
