Replacement for Sturridge, Mignolet and Moreno. Do not believe we need more than that.

Those calling for another RB, we have ample cover over there, especially if Milner stays another season. Should he decide to leave then always the option of one of the academy players. We definitely need backup for Robertson.

No space for adding any more CM's. We are stocked.

Disagree. City will improve. The other big boys will get better players in, this is not a time to be sitting around where we are, we should be striving for even better.

The thing we were lacking immensely last season was goals and guile in midfield like City have. They’ve got DeBruyne, Silva and Bernardo Silva and we literally have nothing. Our midfield is workmanlike and lumpen in comparison. We need a spark of creativity. So it’s not as simple as you’ve said.

Always keep improving, complacency is never an option. That’s where we struggled in the past, thought our first 11 was ok so filled the squad. Bring in people to compete and your squad, in theory, will always move forward.

got to agree with Frankly, we need a creative player just behind our three Amigos, imagine the goals Mane Salah and bobby will score,
how about that left footer from Ajax, going for 25 mill, he is deadly with set pieces, think he is about 26 yrs old,
he might have an ex team mate to settle in with?

Bruno Fernandes would be my choice - superb goal record, technically gifted, would add a completely different dimension to the first XI. Unfortunately there are a number of factors that make his acquisition virtually impossible: 1) Extortionate amount of money involved 2) A real lack of space in our midfield unless some where moved on. I think the numbers floating round for him are something like 100mil Euro's if not more? I doubt we'd be spending that sort of outlay. Can't see much, if any, of the midfield leaving either except for perhaps Lallana if the right offer comes in. So I think most likely we'll stick with what we have for now - in fairness to the current squad they've not exactly been bad, have they?

I don’t see why we need more creative players.
We don’t have problems breaking teams down and our midfield is encouraged to always play the ball quickly so they don’t really have the time on the ball.
To say we “literally have nothing” on terms of creativity in midfield is utterly ridiculous IMO and Ox will be back next season.

As the great Confuscius once said - "Even if you are on the right track, if you stand still you will eventually get hit by a train. "

It won’t happen but I’d love to see Kai Havertz at anfield think he’d be class under Klopp.

I don't think we do need to buy many. Like OP I think cover for Robertson is definitely needed.

As for creativity from midfield we've got both Ox and Keita for this purpose. I was not sold on Keita at all until the last few games when he started to look better so let's see if he improves.

I think a true wide player as cover for Salah and mane is needed. I don't see shaq as a wide player no matter how many times he plays there, he strikes me much more as a link man between midfield and and attack, what Italians would call a trequartista.

Id like to see origi given a chance to be bobby's cover next season, I think he's earned a shot and I think he's better in the middle than wide.

Who could we get to cover wide areas? No idea. Problem is we can't really buy someone established because, as we found out with other targets, they know they're back up and don't want to come.

Spot on, Nevada. We don't need any creative player in midfield except of course, you want either Keita or OX (who can play that position in a more direct way) to leave. Remember, Ox replaced Cou after he left for Barcelona and was a thorn in the flesh of EVERY team we played against up until his injury. City esp., had NO answers for him and even Pep himself knew it. Keita should ONLY get better with one more season under his legs. So why are we getting another no. 10 when esp. if Ox can regain his form with a full preseason and if Keita can step up as he had been doing before his injury? Creativity is NOT our issue. Good cover/ options IS.

What gave us issues, was not the fact that we could not score goals or break teams down. that was NEVER the issue. Our issues was that we lacked options and good cover, not just cover for the positions that were affected. When TAA got injured and Clyne (poor player) got shipped out, Milner stepped in and did admirably. We played Fab at CB cos VVD Lovs and Gomez were injured or you play Hendo at RB. When you do that, you take away from what you want to do in midfield. Also, what happens when Robbo was in poor form like he was in Jan/ Feb? Klopp had to play him cos Moreno is well, NO cover at all. He can't get a breather cos of no options. Same with the forwards. We need a versatile forward to challenge any of the front three which is why a guy like Depay or Werner would make sense here.

This is where as Ed01 said, we need better options in critical areas, just like City do. You don't have to have expensive options to have good ones. You just have to be smart at your scouting and recruitement. Just my opinion.

We don't need replacements for Moreno, Sturridge or Mignolet. i'd rather the club went huge on one or at most two, definite 1st eleven starters. This would obviously push one or two of the more regular starters into a squad role. We should not be lookin to buy anyone who isn't genuinely seen as at least on an equal level to whoever he will be up against for a starting position. The three players have been good pros for the club but they are no longer anywhere near the level to be playing for us anymore and are only blocking the young players coming through.
