Reports saying that jerome boetang is avaiable for around 35 million to chelsea. at that price, even at 29, surely a better option than vvd.

No debate here. Half the price, 1000 times the player.

Half the career in front of him.

{Ed001's Note - doesn't he struggle badly with injuries? Everytime I look he is out injured.}

The same Boateng who couldn't cut it at Man City? Has he improve that much or is the german league kinder to him? just asking here not slating anyone's opinion.

Well Salah did not cut it at Chelsea either, but we all seem happy to have him.

Selling ake and buying whoever in the world is still Crap! Ake is the best to come from their academy!

{Ed001's Note - he came from Feyenoord's academy.}

Well I meant the best young player to come up like Sterling or Ibe.

{Ed001's Note - not sure how you figure that out either. They have bought a huge number of young players that you have probably never seen play to judge. They still have both Chalobahs for instance, both of whom look like they have the potential to be better. Maybe it is just me, Ake is good but I have never seen what is special about him. Defensively suspect, good on the ball but not great, not really outstanding at left back or centre back or defensive midfield, just good. I like the lad but he is getting plaudits for being some kind of superstar when he has shown nothing but potential so far.

I like his attitude and he is a good Prem player, but he is a long way from being this special talent people seem to believe he is. I think it must be the hair or something that gets people excited.}

I was really impressed with his shift at Bournemouth and according to me he has the been the best of the lots. He would be ideal for a side playing 3 at the back. He has pace and is brilliant to bring the ball out from the back something they bought by paying £40 mill ( David Luis ) . I still don't know why they let him go. He is far more important than Solanke for Chelsea.

{Ed001's Note - they let him go because he is not brilliant, not defensively nor at bringing the ball out. Yes he has pace, but he relies on it too much, rather than using positional sense. Makes him a youtube player rather than a quality defender.}

That's a shame Ed as I actually like him as a player and if he could fix his issues then he will be great. As for the ones criticizing Boateng and the comparison with VVD, I still fail to understand why CB's that are more experienced and better are going for half the price that is being touted for VVD. The fact that people want to argue that CB's like Manolas, Rudigger and now presumably, Boateng are all inferior to VVD, is just a bunch of fairy dust. If we want a CB, there are lots out there we could get for way cheaper provided they fit our system. I think people just want us to blow cash into the wind so they can feel good about themselves. Spoiler alert: We have tried it before and where has it gotten us?

I couldn't agree more ed1. People admiring Ake is all fine and well but I can't see why myself, he's decent there's no doubt about that but top club level? He's way off.

You did mention about Sevilla who would love to take him back only to put off by the asking price. But Napoli and Roma are a solid team. I did not expect them to show up!
