Afternoon ed002 I've not been on much son has been in the icu. So I am well out of what's been going on. From the out goings am very happy I think are squad is in a very good place think a couple additions would be nice for long term future, can you tell me kind of player varela is a ball winner number 6 or more of a footballing one. {Ed002's Note - Firstly I hope your sone is OK. Varela is very much a traditional Defensive Midfield player rather than a more versatile player who is comfortable in CM. He would be a good addition, but expensive.

Alan Varela (DM) Barcelona may offer a profit to Porto and a player in exchange. PSG interest went when Neves moved. An option for Manchester City to replace Phillips, but not first choice although they have spoken with Porto. Bayern Munich consider him an option to replace Kimmich. Liverpool are following up on several scouting missions to see if something can be done. Chelsea sent scouts but no more. Dortmund will not match his buy out clause. Don't rule out Arsenal. Porto has no interest in selling the player who only joined them in the summer of 2023 unless someone offered his buy out clause in a single payment, then the player will be consulted.}

Just watching the Sky Sports transfer coverage, neither contributor thinks LFC will make any signings before the deadline.
I really don’t see the benefit of Chiesa unless either Diaz or Salah are going to leave, and both looked in top form/ happy when playing this weekend.
If there aren’t any signings, and both MC and Arsenal look well placed to kick on this year, personally I think it is an underwhelming return for Edwards et al.
