Any truth that Lovren might be on his way to Roma?

Doubt it very very much. Would make ZERO sense to sell him for the 10 m Roma want to pay. Matip and Gomez are injury prone so if it was up to me i'd say no chance.

Price is touted at 20/ 25m but agree given the late stages of the transfer window it would be a surprise.

Unless klopp things Sepp is ready?

Damn Joe Gomez on high injury proneness, breaking his ankle every few months! Maybe he is really clumsy.

Can't really call Gomez injury prone. The only major non-impact injury he's had was his knee. The broken ankle from being booted by one of Dyche's thugs is hardly enough to constitute him being branded injury prone! Anybody can get kicked.

Klopp might really rate Sepp and Hoever? You never know. Or maybe we'll go back in for Diego Lloriente? Or a really outside the box idea, maybe he is so impressed with Lallana as a "6" that he wants to utilise Fabinho more as a centre back where he shone last year? Our squad is huge. Losing Lovren will barely dent it with the addition of the two young Dutch lads to the first team squad.

For 20-25m I would happily sell. Gomez, Matip, Fabinho if needs be. I personally think masterson and potentially den berg can slot in as adequate replacements.

{Ed047's Note - for a minute there I thought you were happy to sell Gomez and Fabinho! 😱😂

It would be risky going into a season with just 3 senior CBs.

masterson as been released.

Maybe Nat Philips could be the 4th centre back option? Tbh can’t see Lovren leaving anyhow.

With all due respect, Nat Philips is simply not going to make it at LFC. There are no other Center Backs from U23 ready for step up either. Also, Hoever has been playing full back all season and I suspect he will likely not be considered for a Center Back role. If Lovren leaves, I hope LFC have a backup plan or at least that is what the club has been saying all along.

Ed I take it we are not looking to sell Slovene in this window despite all the rumours?

{Ed047's Note - whose Slovene mate?

Sorry mate meant and typed Lovren lol. God knows why it Came out as that.

{Ed047's Note - haha thought I was going mad mate and sorry I don’t know mate, I’d be surprised unless they had a replacement in mind.

Has ed02 indicated anything about it?

Nah not that I can see Ed recently anyway. I will stick with him not leaving this close to the transfer cut off.

The last injury Gomes had was a result of a shocking tackle by that clogger Ben Mee, he’s not injury prone it’s a mistruth. The truth is always different to the narrative.

Gomez has had many injuries.

Anyone thinking Gomez is injury prone simply knows very little about how a young man's body develops into a top athlete with the physical growing pains that can come from your body developing to match the demands or sports at the highest level.

The great Ronaldo started playing at the highest level at 17 and he had many injuries in that span cos his body was developing to match the demands of the game esp. since his game was based on pace and power which takes it's toll on your muscles and joints. He was never injury prone. He started getting injured in his mid twenties.

{Ed001's Note - Gerrard struggled with back problems and thigh injuries up until his mid-20s.}

I guess he was injury-prone as well, eh Ed?

{Ed001's Note - must have been.}
