Echo now reporting that we would be interested in a move for Cornet, i wonder where they got that from.

Hope so he is a decent playmaker.

magico, he’s not a playmaker, he’s a winger/ wide forward. And a fairly one dimensional one at that. Not better than anyone already at the club.

Not again 6times.

6Times, He is a target for back up player to our front 3 and can play anywhere across the front line as well as possibly AM. He isn’t meant to be be better than we already have, but one who can develop and push the front 3 for a starting birth.

Who is better than what we have 🤔 don't think we'll be signing a 400 million pound player somehow 😅.

I thought Cornet was not worth it either but the more I research him the more I start to see it. He is a bit rash in his decision making but his running in behind the defence is excellent. I think he could be a rough diamond.

Well if anyone can improve him Jurgen can.

I’d rather we didn’t waste time negotiating with Aulas or money on a player we don’t need and who won’t improve our chances of winning the league. Question for me is whether he’s significantly better than Wilson or Kent and the answer is that he really isn’t as it’s not as if he’s tearing apart the French league, which bar the exception of PSG, Lille and Lyon and maybe Marseille is no stronger than the Championship. This notion that he can play as an attacking midfielder or play maker is well wide of the mark, when I’ve seen him play his first touch, decision making, passing and tracking back/ tackling are severely lacking to say the least. He is only effective on the break or against teams playing a high line. If we’re talking as signing him as support cast, I’d rather keep the money and take a punt on the players we already have in Wilson and Kent who play in similar positions.

{Ed002's Note - It is Klopp you need gone then.}

So scouting a player on BT makes you an expert does it? Wind your neck in.

If Klopp and his team want cornet I back him. I like both Kent and Wilson, but think they will fall short of the standard required.

Is that Harry back supporting Liverpool again?

I like what I've seen from harry. he needs game time tho so probably best he goes on loan or sold.

6Times all you seem to have for Cornet is ad hominem and personal attacks against him as if he stole your girlfriend or something. You seem to be unable to make a substantive case as to why you don't think he is good enuff. The fact that you don't even know the position (s) he plays or can play and a poster had to point that out to you, just proved my point.

Cornet plays on either side or at AM and played wide for the Ivory Coast at this year's AFCON so really, you have clearly never seen him play cos if you did, you would know tha and know that he ripped Man City a new one in the CL this season. We don't need him to be better than the front three. We need him to offer enuff when any of them need a blow and if we are well interested hin him means Klopp thinks he is up to it. I will trust him over you any day esp. with you having nothing substantive to add to the argument but personal attacks against him.

Pep loved him and thought he was very good when Lyon played city, so I trust him AND klopp see something worth buying.

Exactly, YoungRed2002 BUT 6Times would have you believe that he is the worst player that ever walked the face of the earth and that Pep is now an idiot who knows nothing about football.
