Question for the Eds.

Why does Slot start Isak before Ekitike?

{Ed001's Note - because it is his man. He wanted Isak and he wants to get him fit and firing.}

Logic says to start a fit and firing Ekitike, "secure" the 3 points and then give Isak minutes to catch up on his fitness.

The two of them are horrendous at pressing and that's one of the major issues with the team.

Because Isak is a better player?

Ed, what are your thoughts on Ekitike playing on the left of a front three, similar to Mane?

{Ed001's Note - I can see the use in certain games, but most of the time it would be a waste of his ability.}

Maybe if Isak was fully fit he'd be the better player but not at the moment.

In an attempt to play Isak into form Ekitike has been played out of form.

Ed001, maybe I missed that, but it was slot that wanted Isak? I thought all transfers were made by Edwards and Hughes with Slot only having input? If there's a story there regarding Isak, I'd love to hear it. How was Ekitike not also Slots man? Thanks in advance!

{Ed001's Note - Slot doesn't have final say, but he did want Isak, that was pretty much the unanimous first choice. He was not so keen on Ekitike, looking at the way he dumped him the moment he could, possibly to the point of not wanting him.}

Ekitike is a better player, at the moment, even though he isn't playing, Barry? How do you work that out?
He's done very little when coming on as sub recently, as well.
