Just saw a rumour linking us with the Brazilian Wesley Franca, of Flamengo. He's a Frimpong type, really fast RB. Saw him play for Brazil against Argentina, and he reminded me of the marauding wingbacks from Brazil's past. Likes to cut inside into the center a lot. Looks okay defensively but too reliant on sliding tackles to save him from positioning errors, and leaves lots of empty space behind on the right flank. This is based on one full game I saw and several YouTube videos, only.

He’d be my choice Ed025. I think he has done a cracking job. Hopefully next season with a full preseason he’ll do even better and get them relegated.

Not new news, but had a glimmer of hope Trent might stay. Just got off the phone to his cousin and unfortunately no chance. Apparently Madrid has been agreed a long time ago.

Well we'll see. I for one will be gutted to see him go. We've missed him of late for sure and Bradley is far from like for like. So be interesting to see how we set up next season and deal with the loss. We move on as always but a loss for sure.

You’ve been reading social media I would guess and @Davey was (sort of 😉) making a joke.

When all’s said and done the lad is just doing a job and wants to try working for someone else. I get that it’s ‘different’ because it’s ’well paid’ for want of a better phrase and most of us would say that we would actually pay the club to let us play (although it would depend on how much we had to pay, I suppose) but it doesn’t alter the fact that it is just a job.

Another way of looking at it might be that Liverpool FC - management, players, fans - is a family and one of the family thinks it’s time to leave home.

I agree MK. The annoying thing for many here though is that they see a £50m player walking away for nothing to join a club who have probably been in his ear for a couple of years. For a supposedly true scouser to do that to the club is a bit of a kick in the teeth. I see a lot of criticism about contract offers but we don’t really know what goes on and you can’t force a player to sign one.

If Trent comes out and says he’s going to Madrid to grow the Sport of football in Spain like Hendo did then I’ll buy it and all will be forgiven.

{Ed078's Note - It's a divisive issue. for sure. For what it's worth... whatever. He stays, he goes (near nailed on), he's served the club well. Few of us know the inner workings of these things. Yes, it would have been nice for the club to get a fee, but we all know they could have handled this better than they have. I wish Trent all the best. I think we have a better defender in Bradley, but nobody in the squad, maybe the country, plays a better pass than Trent.

In fairness MK he's the topic of the thread. And despite what people on here want to make out most Lfc are not exactly over the moon with trent. I am one of those people, doesn't stop me being over the moon and looking forward to my week long bender after Sundays game.

I agree with you MK, I think we should be celebrating being back on top of the pile rather worrying about Trent. With regard to him though, the first thing I said to my kids after his comment at the weekend was that he's off then. When Mo and Van Dyke told us nothing about their situations they both looked forward (even when Mo said we were far apart at the moment) . In contrast Trent made references to the past and how much he enjoyed the special moments. In my opinion he's avoided making references to the future because he is off. Quite often you can't cover up what is going on in your mind as something small (even saying nothing) gives you away. I suggest we stop worrying about Trent and enjoy the current season :)

Sunday is going to be an epic day, we’ll beat Spurs on a lovely Spring afternoon, celebrate a 20th title and be the most successful club in England, as well as being able to see Richarlison having a face like he’s sucking on a urine flavoured gob stopper as we become champions again. These are things you love to see.

I know most believe he is going and tbh he's more out than in I reckon but the fact the OP said "just got off the phone to Trents cousin" stinks of sweaty hoop. No one knows anythng, so stop trying to say you do when you dont. I will pass my judgement once he or the club have come out and said what's what.

Anyway, title celebrations at Anfield this weekend. Spurs will crumble and probably put all their eggs in the Europa League basket.
