free agent Adrian as Simon Mignolet's replacement?

04 Aug 2019 21:58:57
Evening eds
Simon Mignolet set to join Club Brugge.
Is there any truth in this.

1.) 04 Aug 2019 22:27:26
Obviously, every sports reporter in the country has confirmed it.

26 Jul 2019 10:00:41
morning eds
any truth in this please Steve Bruce want Harry Wilson at Newcastle.

{Ed002's Note - It seems perfectly reasonable, there has been plenty of interest and he has been "for sale".}

1.) 26 Jul 2019 12:25:49
ed002 do you see it at as a transfer or loan?

{Ed002's Note - The club have been looking to sell him but hung on look at him in pre-season.}

2.) 26 Jul 2019 14:13:43
Any idea what fee the club are looking at for a sale Ed.

{Ed002's Note - It is unimportand.}

3.) 26 Jul 2019 22:07:21
With this new earlier transfer deadline well surely start to see more progress in the next week regarding any outgoings. Wilson would have been handy to have for a couple of August games if salah bobby or mane weren't up to 90mins every week. He won't be moving to European clubs so I'd imagine with us returning from America talks with other clubs may start to progress.

29 Jun 2019 22:12:48
any news on Marko Grujic destination eds.

{Ed002's Note - It will be somewhere in Germany.}

1.) 30 Jun 2019 09:41:37
ed002 will it be another loan or transfer?

{Ed002's Note - He is priced out of a transfer so it will be another loan - almost certainly back to Berlin - a couple of other sides enquired as well.}

2.) 30 Jun 2019 16:30:42
Hopefully he can come back next season I think he has a lot of potential and looks to be a late bloomer like matic.

3.) 30 Jun 2019 17:38:22
Weren't Athletico Madrid linked a month or so ago with crazy money being mentioned?

4.) 30 Jun 2019 16:01:49
ed002 how good was he last season I see reports that he was playing very good. But I don't watch germen football.
Did he sign a contract extension as he still has 4 years left on it,
has there been any interest in a permanent transfer from anybody, I know there was a lot off paper talk about atletico madrid showing an interest in him. If so would they be interested in a loan?

{Ed002's Note - Herta Berlin were very pleased with him and would have purchased him and the whole stinking mess could be over. Sadly Liverpool overpriced him for a sale and they will look to continue to screw up his career.}

5.) 30 Jun 2019 20:23:34
Apparently Hertha have won the race to sign him for another year. Both he and the club want a deal. We’re doing a markovic with the lad and messing him about. As good as Klopp is he’s gave the kid promises about games that he’s simply just not going to get. Should do him a favour and sell him before we muck up his career.

6.) 30 Jun 2019 20:21:12
Ruin his career? How so ED002 he's playing week in week out at a very high level when not injured.
Why should the club under value an assets? If his injures were to subside he may well be an option or be valued even higher. Loans seems to makes perfect sense at this moment in time if clubs are not ready to match his valuation.
Putting a negative swing on a story for no apparent reason.

{Ed002's Note - The player has no career at Liverpool. No planned future, has been lied to and likely could not get a work permit. I have not put a negative swing on anything. Perhaps you simply don’t understand the situation at all?}

7.) 30 Jun 2019 21:51:24
Read the same stuff here about Clyne yesterday, why do Liverpool ask too much for these players. It is obvious Clyne, Grujic and others have no hope whatsoever of playing for Liverpool. Surely moving them on permanently is best all round for evryone.

8.) 30 Jun 2019 22:31:59
Maximising tbeir value "if"we have to eventually move them on is what's best allround for everyone. if Grujic can stay fit allseason he can be one of the best midfielders in the bundesliga.

9.) 01 Jul 2019 07:40:33
How is trying to get the most for one's asset messing up someones career. This is a business, and one which historically was run very badly. FSG are putting that right, and if MG was one of the stand out performers in that league last season, then of course he is worth 25/ 30m.

10.) 01 Jul 2019 09:55:40
Promises were made to Grujic that were not kept, if he cannot even get a work permit then why not sell him with a clause similar to Camacho who we just sold.
The Grujic deal seems like it is heading the same way as the Markovich catastrophe.

11.) 01 Jul 2019 11:47:37
Another loan to Hertha. Apparently LFC have financial penalties in place should Hertha not play him enough. Am I the only one that sees the irony in that?

12.) 01 Jul 2019 11:52:23
Promises! this is a mens game and can be very very harsh. will people please get over the promises, Grujic is not a child.

13.) 01 Jul 2019 13:24:59
So because its a mens game, its ok to lie? how very adult.

If you are promised something then breaking it is not keeping your word. very professional!

14.) 01 Jul 2019 13:45:29
I don't think anyone is saying it's OK to lie but I can only imagine the promise may have inferred '. if you're deemed good enough and better than what we currently have'.

15.) 01 Jul 2019 15:34:34
Considering that Herta Berlins manager is reported as saying Grujic was one of the best midfielders in their league, how can you accuse Liverpool of overpricing him except of course Liverpool don’t want to sell him. Why would we keep a player who has no future with us. To compare him with Markovich was unreal. He cost us reported 20 million, so why shouldn’t we try to recoup a decent return for him, and I think it’s fair to say given the few appearances he made for us he didn’t look like he could handle the premier league.

16.) 01 Jul 2019 15:27:04
Grujic is going back to Hertha on loan.

11 Jun 2019 18:35:59
Liverpool's Sheyi Ojo is on the verge of a loan move to Rangers to work under Steven Gerrard any truth in this.

1.) 11 Jun 2019 20:13:11
Maybe.

2.) 11 Jun 2019 23:57:21
Correct deal agreed just waiting on Kent although leeds have interest in kent and wilson!

hello eds i did a serch for this guy David Tavares from benfica 2nd string apparently klopp was very impressed with him. do we have anyintrest in him.

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

1.) 12 Jun 2019 08:31:41
I read that Klopp was indeed impressed with him, not necessarily interested. In the future? Maybe.

2.) 12 Jun 2019 13:44:16
I've said before I like Lovren a lot as a player and a person. I hope he stays, but I'd expect him to start at least 3rd choice next season, and if he doesn't want that, I'm sure a deal could be struck. He seems to like the club, but at 30 and with a CL winners medal in his pocket, he might think it's time to move. No guarantees any club will meet our price or his wage demands though.

As for Matip vs Lovren, I'd have Lovren every day. Matip improved a fair amount towards the end of the season, but this was after a long run beside VVD. VVD has seemed to improve every defender he plays beside, and it's my opinion that Lovren would have impressed just as much if not more if he had got that run of games.

looks like andy robertson is out of the scotland game against belgium with a hamstring injury.

1.) 11 Jun 2019 19:11:37
yep he's out sadly.

2.) 11 Jun 2019 19:38:42
Absolutely ridiculous.
Now what’s going to happen?

3.) 11 Jun 2019 19:50:52
Hamstring injury.

Damn, that is the worst kind of injury for a player like Robertson. Considering how quick he is, and how often he runs up and down the left hand side, that could very well be a problem in the future.

Hopefully it is just an injury that will not have long term ramifications because Robertson has become the best left back we could have possibly hoped for. The quintessential Klopp player and attitude.

Fingers crossed he will be ready for the start of the season and, if not, that we bring in adequate cover for him, which we were going to do anyway.

4.) 11 Jun 2019 20:41:07
Summer recovery he will be fine.

5.) 11 Jun 2019 20:59:39
Robertson could miss start of 2019/ 20 Premier League season
He tried everything he could [to be ready for today], he did the training session last night, but he woke up and still felt it so no good.

6.) 11 Jun 2019 21:18:08
He could miss start of next season which is August? Jesus that a long time away and he will recover by then.

7.) 12 Jun 2019 08:45:40
Winstonwolfe, slow your roll. How do you know he could mist the start of the season? Do you have info on the duration of his injury? If the answer is no then pls, stop peddling stuff like that. Robbo has a hamstring injury. NOBODY knows how serious it is. It may have been a case of not risking him hence, he can recover for the start of the season cos clubs and national teams talk about things like this. Nothing to worry about esp. since he is now on holiday officially, he will have time to rest it and get the right treatment.
