Any news on max meyer rumours, he does look a talent.

wembley78

{Ed002's Note - A move to England seems unlikely until he has a walk-in opportunity at first team level - and I am not so sure that would be possible at this time. He does however fit the bill of a young attacking midfield player which prompted previous bids from Chelsea (who would have sent him on loan for one season before integrating him in to the squad) and Fiorentina in 2014. Schalke 04 do not want to sell the player and made it clear to Spurs and Milan who were showing an interest this past summer that any move was unlikely. The player has shared his desire to play in Spain with Real Madrid or Barcelona or to play in England. Other sides such as Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Arsenal watched him last season but had no real interest. If Liverpool were to lose Coutinho and/or Firmino he could be a player they may look to. Spurs remain interested and Shalke want to keep him.}

1.) 12 Nov 2016 11:54:29
He does look very talented and would fit our style of play, one to keep onside of if COUTINHO jumps ship.

2.) 14 Nov 2016 01:18:24
We have Ojo, Meyer is not needed.

3.) 16 Nov 2016 13:38:02
I don't believe that Ojo is a attacking midfielder unless you have seen something I have not. I think personally that he should play on the wing>.

If any of the EDD'S are around, have LFC shown any interest in SOFIANE BOUFAL, a class act and nice hat-trick from him yesterday. any views.

wembley78

{Ed002's Note - Although Sofiane Boufal only moved to Lille in January 2015, bids from Spurs and probably Manchester City are expected in 2016. PSG and Monaco have both had the player watched regularly and PSG and Chelsea have spoken with Lille to see if some sort of deal may be possible. Roma, Inter, Dortmund, Valencia, Arsenal, Manchester United and Lyon have also had the player watched this season. He will leave in the summer and the sustained interest has been from Spurs.}

31 Mar 2016 22:56:48
Hi EDD'S, could you enlighten us on these reports that a middle - eastern company is in advanced talks to take over the club.

wembley78

{Ed001's Note - I don't know about any advanced talks, but it is very difficult to get info on that unless you know someone involved, as NDAs keep the vast majority of people quiet. I know there is interest, a lot of it, in particular in Dubai, in buying Liverpool, but I don't know any more than that.}

1.) 01 Apr 2016 06:55:57
I've just read the same. massive injections of cash but it is from the daily star so not sure about the accuracy. I remember eds saying it would not be like city as emirates are all about pushing their global brand but I guess we would still be cash rich? I hope we smash spurs!

2.) 01 Apr 2016 07:17:30
1st April might give you a clue.

3.) 01 Apr 2016 10:06:17
With the oil price etc still low I find it difficult to believe a consortium would be willing to dump a load of money into a financially fragile club such as ourselves, and if they are, then I would suggest they're more than likely bad business men. I would hope this isn't true, as I would expect it to match the Hicks and Gillet reign for the damage it will cause.

4.) 01 Apr 2016 15:19:52
David Moores originally shook hands on a deal with Dubai International Capital (DIC) to sell Liverpool before George Gillett and Tom Hicks stepped in and bought the club due to DIC hesitating on the deal, if the interested party is DIC, who are the international investment arm of Dubai Holding, a global conglomerate and sovereign wealth fund of the government of Dubai and its ruling family, I don’t think they will be put off by cheap oil prices.
If true it is the only way Liverpool will challenge the European giants.

{Ed001's Note - they will not be buying us.}

5.) 01 Apr 2016 16:38:13
There's been way too much DIC in Liverpool over the past years, let's hope Ed' right.

6.) 01 Apr 2016 17:50:10
Leicester have shown that it doesn't take vast sums to challenge, just a good team that fits together.

7.) 01 Apr 2016 19:17:19
That's been one of our main issues. No doubt we were dug our of a hole and have spent significantly, but recruitment and PR have been poor. And that's being generous.

8.) 01 Apr 2016 22:55:22
I'm not asking for prices, investment or companies who are interested. Honest opinion though would you like new owners?

We've always been told there is an exit plan with current owners. Would it be beneficial for them to sell from a fans point of view or would the new owners cut everything to the bone?

9.) 01 Apr 2016 21:45:03
Is that why you met up with Harry ed001?
Planning a takeover bid?

{Ed001's Note - he was busy taking Agbonlahor and Richards out on the lash mate.....}

10.) 02 Apr 2016 03:09:19
be careful what you wish for would be my answer, the current owners are not perfect, but there is a lot worse out there. I expect them to stick to there exit plan, also why would anyone working for the daily star be privy to a story no one else seems to know about?

11.) 02 Apr 2016 11:54:35
Since when was the Daily Star even remotely accurate or in-the-know. You're better off chatting to some bloke down the pub than taking the Star's info as true.

12.) 02 Apr 2016 13:49:53
its also been reported in the metro, so we can safely say it is rubbish.

13.) 03 Apr 2016 17:33:59
Read my post. I doubted the accaracy . print my reply eds please.3rd time I've replied now.

If any of the EDDS r around,
Is there any news when we will be informed if we've got a place on THOMAS COOK flights. tried phoning and emailing and no joy, time is running down. I need to know so I can book alternative options.

wembley78

{Ed001's Note - I don't know sorry.}

1.) 21 May 2019 04:26:15
Thomas Cook have chartered various planes from various UK airports, Sometimed they get cancelled at the last minute for VARIOUS reasons. If I was you Id be looking for alternatives already Their branded planes are all going on a summer holiday. Where are you travelling from?

2.) 21 May 2019 21:04:47
W78 I drew a blank in the ballot and they emailed me within 2 days to say my flights were cancelled. If you qualified in the ballot and bought tickets on the Friday I’d expect you should be ok and they are getting around to emailing the confirmation, good luck fella.

3.) 21 May 2019 22:18:58

10 Jul 2016 09:38:30
Hi EDDS, interesting to hear KLOPPS comments about re-structuring the academy and having it all under the one roof.
Iive in Kirkby by the academy and there's a lot of building working gone on there, do u see in the near future a new state of the art training complex being built in Kirkby next to the academy, there is a lot of land there and the academy would be right next door to were the first team train, just a thought, something seems to be in the pipeline the way KLOPP was talking after the tranmere game. any views EDDS.

wembley78

{Ed001's Note - if there was a place available to do that, the club would have done it long ago. There was no place big enough to use. It would be a better way of doing things, if a place can be found.}

03 Jul 2016 22:34:10
EDD002 on the subject of KLOPP tapping players up, i. e ZIELINSKI, football clubs and managers have been doing this since the year dot, a FERGUSON was the worst, if LFC played everything by the book they would get left behind, every club does it. get your head out the sand.

wembley78

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with Ferguson or other clubs - Liverpool are an absolute disgrace in doing business and dealing with other clubs. That is whay they have the reputation they do and why other clubs do not like doing business with them - and why they are shunned by the "elite" sides. Dealings with the likes of Burnley and Bolton and shafting an ex-player last season are more examples of a club that operates in a shameful manner. Having a little Johnny Jerkoff like you as a fan seems all too appropriate.}

1.) 03 Jul 2016 23:13:06
You can't get much more elite than Liverpool football club, do you mean peasants ed2?

2.) 04 Jul 2016 05:49:47
Name an elite club that has failed to win their league for 26 years?

ROFLMAO. You're deluded. But hey, I'm sure next season is going to be your season, right?

3.) 04 Jul 2016 01:48:41
ed, why are Liverpool so consistently disgraceful? Don't they realise how counter-productive and self-harming their style of negotiating is? It just seems a bit mad to me. When you piss off so many clubs from the exact same problem, wouldn't that compel you to change?

4.) 04 Jul 2016 10:42:19
Ed2 A toast to you for my new favorite phrase Johnny Jerkoff! Have you got any more?

5.) 05 Jul 2016 10:13:54
On the point of tapping up, I've just seen an interview with Gundogen who said that he had talked to Guardiola a few times then even when he got injured he said he still wanted him. This intimates that they were having discussions long before he signed for city and I repeat a point I've made before. EVERYONE does it.

hi gang,
we cannot stand still after winning cl, we have to be on our toes, can’t be having the
front three are set in stone, you buy from a position of strength.
think one of the edds said sane is looking to leave city because he can’t get game time, but for the last 2 seasons sane has put pressure on the likes of sterling and co, and that’s why city have had 2 unbelievable seasons, it’s called
competition for places, we can’t have our front 3 thinking there place is granted, that’s when you become complacent. before anyone mentions it we can’t rely on brewster who is a young lad coming back from a nasty injury, it will only take an injury from one of the front 3 and where in rubbish street.
you buy from a position of strength.

Hi gang,
Hope the rumours are true if we’re after NICHOLAS PEPE.
Don’t really understand this THE FRONT THREE PICK ITSELF, if we want to get back to we’re we were then THE FRONT THREE have to be challenged, we can’t become complacent, it only takes a nasty injury from one of them and we’re knackered, for me the more quality we have the better, let's not bury our head in the sand and think that THE FRONT THREE is the only three, they have to be put under pressure.

Just to add my point of view on this TIMO WERNER to LFC,
Do we want to challenge for the PREMIERSHIP or are we just happy to keep FIRMINO happy and let’s not upset him. c'mon people it’s about taking the next step and COMPETING, if signing WERNER makes us stronger then so be it, I don’t want to see the COUTINHO money squandered on 3,4 or 5 nearly men. also KLOPP will have pressure on himself next season to produce silverware, he will know more than any of us the price on the ticket. of failure.

wembley78

{Ed002's Note - And you think signing a player Liverpool has shown no interest in is a particularly nifty idea?}

ED002,
I am worried about it ED002,how do u break in to this CLOSED SHOP, I’m trying to break in and when the opportunity arises to build up your loyalty creditation, the club denies it u. it absolutely STINKS.

wembley78

{Ed002's Note - The club took a decision to honour those who booked early to head to the CWC - at is at a trivial expense of some folk who are looking to attend the Aston Villa game. It is not a closed shop at all. The club would have grief if it went the other way. The fans need to demand the club be less successful to go back to the days when problems like this did not occur. It also appears you may want to buy a new keyboard as the caps lock key is getting stuck on.}

Got to be BARCELONA for me, this generations ST. ETIENNE.
ON A SIDE ISSUE,
If any of the EDDS r around,
What do you make of the statement that the club have put out about the CARABAO CUP. if you purchase a ticket to go to VILLA you will not get a loyalty creditation for future league cup games, because the club think it’s not fair on the supporters who are going the CLUB WORLD CUP and would lose a creditation. THIS ABSOLUTELY STINKS, if fans are taking the time and effort to go to support the team the least they deserve is a creditation, why don’t they give creditation to CWC and EFL CUP. this is a closed shop how do we get on the first rung of the ladder.

wembley78

{Ed002's Note - It will be to support those folks who had already purchased tickets for the CWC in Qatar that would not get credit for attending the League Cup game. I would not worry sbout it.}

Hi gang,
They don’t deserve KLOPPS backing, they both let him down.
When KLOPP first arrived he needed STURRIDGE to go through the pain barrier to help him out and STURRIDGE was having none of it. as for MORENO the less said the better. also KLOPP should not be saying STURRIDGE will go down as a modern day LFC great. is he for real.
