Great result tonight. Sitting with 6 blue noses made it even sweeter. Was never a penalty imo. Friday night win makes the weekend even longer.

{Ed0333's Note - if you apply the letter of the law it was deffo a pen mate. He held banana longer than he should have.

1.) 05 Jan 2018 23:10:56
"he held banana longer the he should have" - you sure you didn't switch over to the playboy channel accidentally, Ed0333?

2.) 05 Jan 2018 23:15:05
and by the letter of the law, everton should have been down to ten men .

{Ed025's Note - give it a rest mate ffs..

3.) 05 Jan 2018 23:15:20
It was a penalty, a different game but it’s more of a pen than Calvert Lewis’s the tiger week so blues can’t argue.

{Ed025's Note - different game, different decision JBLP, im not saying it was not a pen though even though that frigin big pussy lallana went down as though he was shot, in the end the ref gave it and thats the end of it mate..

4.) 05 Jan 2018 23:26:20
I feel there was more in it than when Calvin Lewin went down against Lovren. Both soft for me, but given his arm was around his body.

{Ed025's Note - of course you are going to say that..

5.) 05 Jan 2018 23:28:22
If it had happened at our end Ed id have went nuts. Don't get me wrong I'm loving it but you see it every week. Most aren't given. Same as the decision a few weeks ago.

{Ed025's Note - some you win some you lose twinkletoes, its just footy mate..

6.) 05 Jan 2018 23:36:57
Ed, I seem to recall that Big Scam said after the last derby, "A soft pen does not exist". I posted on here then that he would live to regret that comment and tho I did not know it would happen in this game, I predicted that he would regret that quote. Whose face is full of eggs now, Big Scam?

{Ed025's Note - the referee for me mate..

7.) 05 Jan 2018 23:57:09
both very soft pens imo.

8.) 06 Jan 2018 00:09:14
No I agree we and sorry what I meant was basically swings in roundabouts, personally I can see why both could be given but personally I wouldn’t give any.

9.) 06 Jan 2018 00:09:44
The ref gave a soft pen and the guy who said soft pens don't exist, got to eat some serious crow with hot sauce to match. Totally Loved it.

Totally love this site and it's been a while since I've hadn't had the chance to log on. This is the first time in a few weeks I've been able to watch a game in full to be able to comment on it. Are people seriously calling for a change in management? I haven't had the time to look at previous posts so apologies if I'm wrong. Just going by friends and family. Everyone knows where we are and where we need to strengthen. Im always for putting your strongest team out first if available. Where there any injuries or problems tonight with the usual front three? Again I apologise if this has been answered and questioned before.

1.) 26 Nov 2017 04:05:00
Think they were either rested or dropped because of the 2nd half against seville.

2.) 26 Nov 2017 04:11:34
Only the odd exception would be OK for change in management so far as I can see, although more and more on here see patience is running thin on the eternally wobbly defence

I believe front 3 was just rotation to avoid fatigue, but maybe a hint of something about not performing second half against Sevilla? If so I think that would be unfair as in reality they were exhausted and should have been subbed for Solanke and Ox far earlier IMO, then maybe they could have started today?

3.) 26 Nov 2017 04:27:33
Of course some people are, just as some people think the earth is flat. Sure the manager rested some big players but this is the busiest time of the year and many of our best players are just back from injury. Not to mention, we should’ve won that game If not for an accident of a shot.

4.) 26 Nov 2017 07:36:58
Spot on, Tj. Of course, Klopp play his best or close to best team if they were fit? It is normal that rotation is necessary during this busy schedule so no qualms there. What a manager always hopes for is that there is not significant drop off in performances. That happened to some extent yesterday BUT our boys stayed strong, stuck with it and scored with the best move of the game with all the front 3 involved. The defence did it's job globally and Klavan did his job forcing Willian out wide to force the cross and not allow the shot and then the fluke happened. Frustrating BUT very understandable.

5.) 26 Nov 2017 19:14:19
Why wouldn’t Klopp rotate the squad, when we are three up at Sevilla knowing we’ve got Chelsea at the weekend?

I know it’s gone and nothing can be changed.
But what game was more important

Sevilla OR Chelsea.

I’m happy with the result last night and unhappy with th Sevilla one.

Don't know if I like the limited edition 125 years anniversary kit. Pitch black apparently . £90 is a bit too much for me.

1.) 18 Sep 2017 13:58:07
It's horrible.

2.) 18 Sep 2017 14:38:39
Its better than the bright orange thing we have this season!

13 Sep 2017 22:56:13
Anyone see didis comments on RTE tonight? Was very critical of the manager. He said he hasn't improved us and this team isn't going anywhere.

twinkletoes

{Ed002's Note - What a shock.}

1.) 14 Sep 2017 01:12:48
Well wasn't he right?

{Ed001's Note - no. He clearly wasn't. The front 3 were tearing them to shreds last night.}

2.) 14 Sep 2017 03:13:22
Agree with Ed002 and Didi Hammann. We cannot expect to win every game by scoring loads of goals. Its a concept alien to Klopp. So much hype, so less to show for that faith put put in him by the club.

{Ed001's Note - yawn. More whines.}

3.) 14 Sep 2017 03:24:21
What European competition us Didi's team playing in?

Seville played us off the pitch in the EL final not too long ago,

Tonight They've left Anfield knowing they got away with one,

First game over and No defeat,
It doesn't matter a toss that the other English clubs scored more,

All that counts is our group matches and negotiating a way through to the next stage,

Im more confident now of us topping the group as we can outscore Seville home or away

The route to Istanbul wasn't looking great for much of the way either.

Get behind Klopp and the team as its as it is till January at least.

4.) 13 Sep 2017 23:39:17
Klopp hasn't improved our defence but he has improved us no end going forward. Three inches from being 4 2 tonight and should have had penalty for challenge on mane. Kinda night I wish we had skrtel and agger.

5.) 14 Sep 2017 00:17:04
Didi hasn't exactly become a great coach himself. He's better off heading back to the bookies than commenting on Klopp's failings.

6.) 14 Sep 2017 00:17:52
Absolute bull of course we have improved.

7.) 14 Sep 2017 13:11:01
Don't be fooled, people. These losers only come out in the media to say Klopp has not improved us and compare him to BR using pathetic statistics that no one with two brain cells to rub together, cares about. They do this as soon as we have a bad result just to heap pressure on Klopp and on LFC. They did that thru out last season cos many of them are still sore that BR got the boot and still can't get over it.

Klopp has improved us massively overall from the dross BR left behind so that much is clear. N BTW, how's BR doing in the PL? Oh that's right. He's still getting his arse handed to him on a plate, conceding cricket scores to Barcelona and PSG.

8.) 14 Sep 2017 17:10:52
If he compromises on quality then we end up with a team of Lovrens,
Like Rodgers did.

We have a manager who is strong enough to tell the club what he wants, who stays and who goes.

If all our transfer targets came off we would be praising Klopp.

They didn't come off, the club has to be responsible for the methods employed in procurement. but the quality was targeted but unfortunately not delivered. Yet.

Eds has a £65 million bid been rejected by Monaco? This is just getting more ridiculous.

twinkletoes

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any bids in GBP. Why is it ridiculous?}

1.) 28 Aug 2017 22:56:20
The money being spent on players this window is just crazy. I know it's the going rate these days but surely it has to stop sometime.

2.) 28 Aug 2017 23:20:09
It's not your money so who gives a toss pal!

Moreno starts against city for me. If he plays well then why drop him? . Not his biggest fan but hope he pushes on this year. Most of us are going to be waiting for him to make a balls of things but he deserves his in my opinion.

Good read Ed. Fair play to Merton. Should be more like him.

{Ed001's Note - took me a while to figure out who you meant than! I was thinking of that guy from Have I Got News For You and wondering why you mentioned him.}

My local GAA club here in Belfast decided it would be a good idea for the under 21 hurling team (men) to play senior camogie team (ladies) in a friendly game one year. Or a challenge match as the ladies put it. We were told to go easy on them. They had other ideas. I ended up with with a broken nose and I got off lightly compared to others. Sorry for going off on one. Adams post just reminded me it.
