That’s what Jorg said he was in the phone to Southampton about Lavia.

Need to get a delete post option eds lol hit the wrong button. I'd like to see the window closed once the season starts but that's me being selfish I know. Could you ever see a time when sacking managers mid season wa.

twinkletoes

1.) 06 Aug 2023 09:48:52
No.
You can't stop clubs sacking managers mid season. It'll never happen.

2.) 06 Aug 2023 16:24:49
If a Premier League team sack a manager before the end of the season, they should pay a £20 million forfeit to go into grass roots football. Championship clubs pay £5 million. League 1 clubs pay £2 million and League 2 clubs pay £500,000. That would stop it, and if it didn’t, grass roots football would benefit.

3.) 06 Aug 2023 16:31:17
Imagine if you could only change your manager during a transfer window? That would be fun ?.

4.) 06 Aug 2023 22:51:33
What if managers are rubbish or in breach of their contract? Are they immune from being sacked?
What about the rights of their employers?

Great result tonight. Sitting with 6 blue noses made it even sweeter. Was never a penalty imo. Friday night win makes the weekend even longer.

{Ed0333's Note - if you apply the letter of the law it was deffo a pen mate. He held banana longer than he should have.

1.) 05 Jan 2018 23:10:56
"he held banana longer the he should have" - you sure you didn't switch over to the playboy channel accidentally, Ed0333?

2.) 05 Jan 2018 23:15:05
and by the letter of the law, everton should have been down to ten men .

{Ed025's Note - give it a rest mate ffs..

3.) 05 Jan 2018 23:15:20
It was a penalty, a different game but it’s more of a pen than Calvert Lewis’s the tiger week so blues can’t argue.

{Ed025's Note - different game, different decision JBLP, im not saying it was not a pen though even though that frigin big pussy lallana went down as though he was shot, in the end the ref gave it and thats the end of it mate..

4.) 05 Jan 2018 23:26:20
I feel there was more in it than when Calvin Lewin went down against Lovren. Both soft for me, but given his arm was around his body.

{Ed025's Note - of course you are going to say that..

5.) 05 Jan 2018 23:28:22
If it had happened at our end Ed id have went nuts. Don't get me wrong I'm loving it but you see it every week. Most aren't given. Same as the decision a few weeks ago.

{Ed025's Note - some you win some you lose twinkletoes, its just footy mate..

6.) 05 Jan 2018 23:36:57
Ed, I seem to recall that Big Scam said after the last derby, "A soft pen does not exist". I posted on here then that he would live to regret that comment and tho I did not know it would happen in this game, I predicted that he would regret that quote. Whose face is full of eggs now, Big Scam?

{Ed025's Note - the referee for me mate..

7.) 05 Jan 2018 23:57:09
both very soft pens imo.

8.) 06 Jan 2018 00:09:14
No I agree we and sorry what I meant was basically swings in roundabouts, personally I can see why both could be given but personally I wouldn’t give any.

9.) 06 Jan 2018 00:09:44
The ref gave a soft pen and the guy who said soft pens don't exist, got to eat some serious crow with hot sauce to match. Totally Loved it.

Totally love this site and it's been a while since I've hadn't had the chance to log on. This is the first time in a few weeks I've been able to watch a game in full to be able to comment on it. Are people seriously calling for a change in management? I haven't had the time to look at previous posts so apologies if I'm wrong. Just going by friends and family. Everyone knows where we are and where we need to strengthen. Im always for putting your strongest team out first if available. Where there any injuries or problems tonight with the usual front three? Again I apologise if this has been answered and questioned before.

1.) 26 Nov 2017 04:05:00
Think they were either rested or dropped because of the 2nd half against seville.

2.) 26 Nov 2017 04:11:34
Only the odd exception would be OK for change in management so far as I can see, although more and more on here see patience is running thin on the eternally wobbly defence

I believe front 3 was just rotation to avoid fatigue, but maybe a hint of something about not performing second half against Sevilla? If so I think that would be unfair as in reality they were exhausted and should have been subbed for Solanke and Ox far earlier IMO, then maybe they could have started today?

3.) 26 Nov 2017 04:27:33
Of course some people are, just as some people think the earth is flat. Sure the manager rested some big players but this is the busiest time of the year and many of our best players are just back from injury. Not to mention, we should’ve won that game If not for an accident of a shot.

4.) 26 Nov 2017 07:36:58
Spot on, Tj. Of course, Klopp play his best or close to best team if they were fit? It is normal that rotation is necessary during this busy schedule so no qualms there. What a manager always hopes for is that there is not significant drop off in performances. That happened to some extent yesterday BUT our boys stayed strong, stuck with it and scored with the best move of the game with all the front 3 involved. The defence did it's job globally and Klavan did his job forcing Willian out wide to force the cross and not allow the shot and then the fluke happened. Frustrating BUT very understandable.

5.) 26 Nov 2017 19:14:19
Why wouldn’t Klopp rotate the squad, when we are three up at Sevilla knowing we’ve got Chelsea at the weekend?

I know it’s gone and nothing can be changed.
But what game was more important

Sevilla OR Chelsea.

I’m happy with the result last night and unhappy with th Sevilla one.

Don't know if I like the limited edition 125 years anniversary kit. Pitch black apparently . £90 is a bit too much for me.

When I saw we had agreed the fee I was delighted. Im gutted tbh coz he's what we need. I know nearly all players are money motivated. Who wouldn't be? I think he's an amazing player. I just don't understand how we go from haggling over a couple million for klopps No1 choice to bidding over double for someone else Sour grapes i know but hopefully we dodged a bullet like Lee bowyer.

Not many players aren't gold diggers these days. Money talks. How many of our current squad would jump ship if they got offered double the wages.

Here's hoping zed. can't see it personally. Hopefully our midfield hits the ground running and it's a massive worry for me but if they don't we are shipping goals no matter who comes in defence.

There's an old saying there's no substitute for experience and although we are adding a world cup winner this transfer window has me bricking it for next season.

Arsenal look good on paper. They have spent big money and the majority of arsenal fans i know expectations are high. Both Liverpool and Chelsea were terrible last season and I can't see that being the case again. I Personally think arsenal and Newcastle will struggle for top four mainly because of Europe but im drunk too so il tell you something totally different tomorrow.

His injury record isn't great. Be a big risk in my opinion. The famous Terry silver once said A MAN can't STAND HE can't FIGHT.
