Is there any Liverpool interest in Fabian Schar? A free agent in the summer and has been impressive in the CL.

Ed002, sorry if this question has already been asked.

With a lot of talk about the debt incurred by Liverpool's 'spending spree' this summer, and the subsequent effect on meeting FFP regulations with the added wages, cost of the player etc., how does a club like Real Madrid manage to avoid breaking the FFP rules?

Is it purely down to TV revenue and big sponsorship deals?

mk

{Ed002's Note - Real Madrid has a wage -related issue in respect of FFP this season as well.}

Hey eds, is it true that Reus looks to be heading to Atletico?

I presume that we have no interest in him?

Thanks!

mk

{Ed002's Note - They have an interest in him and have spoken to Dortmund, but they are also mindful that he is injured and may not be able to pass a medical. You really need the European pages for these questions.}

Sorry if I'm being ignorant, been away for awhile, but why actually is it that Sterling wants to leave? Money or ego (despite having only played 1.5 years of first team football) or trophies (despite Liverpool coming very close recently)?

Thanks eds would appreciate a reply.

mk

{Ed002's Note - Read the posts please.}

Ed001, was wondering what you think of Ibe as a player? Do you think he will be better than Sterling?

Cheers mate

mk

{Ed001's Note - he has certainly got the potential to be better. He is quick, powerful, skilful. Basically he had everything Sterling had but with a lot more power. He needs to add the tactical nouse that Sterling has added over the last couple of seasons to really make the most of his talents.}

1.) Jordan Ibe is awesome!

2.) I think he will eventually be a striker.
Big enough, Strong enough.
I think he could lead an attack no problem.

{Ed001's Note - I always thought he would be better in the Dutch 3 up top as one of the 3 constantly interchanging. I think he doesn't have the finishing for an out and out striker.}

3.) I agree ed. how can you not agree.
He has missed some sitters!!
But I seem to remember a certain Thierry Henry and when he added finishing to his game was nigh on impossible to play against after that.
I am not saying he is the next Henry but I think he has all the attributes bar shooting. which we can work on.

{Ed001's Note - Henry was always a finisher, what he lacked was ability to deliver the ball from wide areas, which is why it seems strange that he was playing on the wing in the first place when you look back.}

4.) Maybe finishing is not the right word then ed. . centre forward play then:). .

5.) It depends how hard he wants to work. If he is a Frank Lampard, C.Ronaldo or a Harry Kane type, I see no reason we he can't become a striker.

If he isn't as willing to stay behind and do extra shooting practice then he'll stil be a class player but I doubt he'll ever be burying 20+ goals a season as Ed001 is quite right; finishing isn't natural to him. His technique is good but his composure and instincts are not just yet.

6.) When you say he's more powerful, in what sense do you mean? I always thought sterling was remarkably strong for his stature!

7.) Faster and stronger fency. He is well built!

8.) Ibe has done well at Derby, he's quick, strong as an Ox, got a box of tricks and he s learning to get an end product, genuinely excited to see him back and hope Rodgers uses the lad, better than bringing in Lavezzi for £8m, just remember how he tore Azpelecueta apart in the league cup game and he is no mug. Credit to McClaren for helping bring him on.

Ed001 how do you think Adam Lallana has played so far in his Liverpool career?

mk

{Ed001's Note - ok, no more than flashes of skill, mostly flattered to deceive. Hard to do much though the way we have been playing and being in and out of the side.}

Heart wants KK back! Only give 1 season. Rodgers?

mk

02 Nov 2014 00:13:21
Ed001 who do you think would take over mid-season should Rodgers go?

mk

{Ed001's Note - there would be a very short list of available options. It would probably require a caretaker for a while until the right man could be found.}
