It has been mentioned that Milner follows the situation with Leeds. Did Leeds actually showed any interest in him eds?

martolfc

{Ed001's Note - not yet, but he would have no interest in dropping to the Championship when he has been available in the past.}

1.) 06 Dec 2018 23:37:12
I see, thanks ed.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate.}

23 Aug 2018 17:16:34
Randall leave LFC on a 6 month loan to Rochdalle.

martolfc

1.) 23 Aug 2018 18:55:38
Hopefully he does well. He's one that will doubtfully have any kind of long term career at LFC though.

2.) 23 Aug 2018 20:31:13
They a French lower division club?

23 Mar 2018 18:38:27
Gomez starts as CB as England will play with back 3! Ox and Hendo in the first eleveb aswell.

martolfc

1.) 23 Mar 2018 21:28:04
Gomez comes off, injured after a few mins, turned his ankle .

2.) 23 Mar 2018 21:39:31
Got injured : (.

3.) 24 Mar 2018 01:30:43
I hate international breaks you never know what's going to happen to our players and for what. To make more money for the FA.

4.) 24 Mar 2018 20:42:38
I understand the argument for getting rid of friendlies at all other parts of the year they do seem pointless and completely discrupt the flow of the league but I think the ones a few months before a major tournament are quite important, so the international managers can try and form the right team, have a look at certain players and systems otherwise they're basing their picks on club form and England duties from nearly a year ago.

For example, the last time England played the Ox hadn't played in central midfield, lingaard wasn't consistently contributing in big games and Nick Pope was a back up keeper. I do however, find this week particularly boring waiting for the prem to come back!
Cheers.

22 Mar 2018 22:40:23
Is it only me, but I feel Danny Ings is getting his first start at the Everton game.

martolfc

1.) 22 Mar 2018 22:56:37
I wouldn't be surprised at that as Everton will be up for it, I wouldn't risk any of our main men at Goodison not in between the CL QF. Remember their fans were glad when City beat them in 13/ 14.

2.) 22 Mar 2018 23:36:01
If he does start he'll score. We've all seen him the last 10 minutes of games and he's been so close, give him a full 90 minutes and he'll find the net no problem, I'd love to see him start against Everton.

3.) 23 Mar 2018 04:44:49
Last time we played Everton and saved some key players, half the site wanted Klopp gone for not playing the best players available in a Derby match.

4.) 23 Mar 2018 06:44:36
If we start a weakened team at Everton then that means we are putting our CL hopes before that of top 4. 3 points dropped against Everton at that stage of the season could prove to be costly. I'd love the CL trophy but going out in a CL quarter/ semi or losing finalist and finishing 5th would be a step backwards for us with not having CL football next season. Just my opinion though.

5.) 23 Mar 2018 08:16:04
Well said Jayden and partly agree but I would say that playing Ings and possibly resting Bobby or one of our top 3 is what a squad is for, every game we have left could be decider of if we finish in the top 4 or progressing / being put out of CL and unlikely we will have used only 11 players between now and end of May.

6.) 23 Mar 2018 09:55:10
They are a dirty team when it comes to us. every time we play them they are always trying to take out our best players ( and usually succeed with at least one) at least Barkley is gone, he was one of their worst offenders.

7.) 23 Mar 2018 17:26:26
It really depends on the result of the first match with City. I don't see Klopp resting much players, but 1-3. Firmino is desperate for a rest, yes he may be fit all the time but his body will appricate a rest.

EXCLUSIVE: Liverpool Football Club have reached an agreement with Monaco over the transfer of Thomas Lemar for a club record transfer fee of Β£96M. Lemar will officially join Liverpool on 1st July 2018

Any truth in that? Eds you told Monaco won't sell this window and this sound realostic. Is it true?

martolfc

{Ed002's Note - Is this the fat kid from Bolton on Twitter? If so it is bound to be true. Two biggies for Liverpool today then - Mahrez and Lemar. I understand he says that Liverpool are keen on Alexis Sanchez as well.}

1.) 07 Jan 2018 17:00:00
well a friend of mine send it me. No idea where it came from.

{Ed002's Note - Bolton, which is I think, like Liverpool, a suburb of Manchester.}

2.) 07 Jan 2018 17:08:53
Are you talking about that chap from The Firm BL? Why in the hell do people post this stuff, and other people actually listen? it's annoying.

3.) 07 Jan 2018 17:09:02
It is the fat kid from Bolton and he is never right until its too late to be called . Well, not as far as LFC are concerned.

4.) 07 Jan 2018 17:10:43
And they have bought James Dyson, figured he would be good at hoovering up loose balls in midfield.

5.) 07 Jan 2018 17:13:17
Fat kid from Bolton lol.

6.) 07 Jan 2018 17:25:20
I told I have no idea feom where my friend got the info, he just passed to me. Don't jump on me .

{Ed002's Note - Is he a real friend or an invisible friend?}

7.) 07 Jan 2018 17:29:05
It will be nice to have a bench of Meyer, Brandt, Draxler, Mahrez, Sanchez, Goretzka and Oblak.

8.) 07 Jan 2018 17:34:34
Paddy McGuiness?

9.) 07 Jan 2018 18:12:13
Ed 002 is an idiot
Liverpool a suburb of Manchester?
Clueless anti liverpool as usual.

10.) 07 Jan 2018 18:13:33
Real friend. Are you for real asking me that :D I have a chat group with friends regarding Liverpool LOL You just love to have fun with people.

11.) 07 Jan 2018 18:15:07
The fat kid from Bolton is Sam Allardyce.

12.) 07 Jan 2018 18:26:02
The Firm that's from I've seen it on twitter today. totally unreliable and full of crap. Certain youngsters lead rather sad little lives in Bolton it seems.

13.) 07 Jan 2018 18:27:28
C'mon on Philly C! Get wit programme.

And there it is!

14.) 07 Jan 2018 18:29:14
Or maybe just taking the mick Philip C?

Don't think anyone genuinely had insight into who we will sign at this point. We know who we want and they are only available in the summer. Interesting to see if we get anyone.

15.) 07 Jan 2018 18:36:39
Ed002πŸ‘πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

16.) 07 Jan 2018 19:00:15
Paul Joyce reporting the same. Total Bollocks then? 110 million Euros apparently. Great if true but time will tell.

17.) 07 Jan 2018 19:05:47
Philip C you got caught on ed2s fishing hook there lad haha
Seems the fat kid from Bolton keeps catching lots every window too why doesn't he/ they just get banned 😣.

18.) 07 Jan 2018 19:32:40
Where did Paul Joyce state this, if I may?

19.) 07 Jan 2018 19:43:16
Real friend or invisible friend πŸ˜πŸ˜‚.

20.) 07 Jan 2018 19:57:40
Paul Joyce on Twitter. So it must be true! He got it from another Twitter feed I think.

21.) 07 Jan 2018 20:01:12
Who is the Fat kid from Bolton?

22.) 07 Jan 2018 20:18:42
Sammy Lee, Jason mcateer.

23.) 07 Jan 2018 20:52:55
Ed2 pisses people off, but think of how many people piss him off? people don't consider that, some people just don't get his humour, i didn't at one point but now, more then anything his replies are hilarious, people need to learn something; humour.

{Ed033's Note - Salah.

24.) 08 Jan 2018 11:28:10
Is is that hanz adulfo or summat like that? The firm said he's an agent for African players.

Liverpool Player Sightings page entitled, So the real super Alisson? *for zeddicus

martolfc

1.) 12 Dec 2018 19:39:36
Love it, I just hope that Lovren isn’t his Kryptonite in the upcoming games.

2.) 12 Dec 2018 21:15:01
Ahhhh, now that’s a lot better!

Thanks Marto, much more realistic πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

10 Dec 2018 15:11:28
I understand Liverpool needs a 2 clear goal win tomorrow, but what I can't figure out is why are they fine with 1-0 win? Can someone explain for me, sorry If I am being dumb.

martolfc

1.) 10 Dec 2018 15:21:14
Because they beat us 1-0 at their place, so we have to equal or better the result. So win 1-0, but if they score, with the away goal rule, we will have to beat them by 2 clear goals.

2.) 10 Dec 2018 16:13:26
A 1-0 win will see us go through for those that are confused. Otherwise we have to win by 2 goals if Napoli score. If we win 1-0 we will be tied on points. Next comes goal difference head to head. Next comes goals scored head to head. Next comes away goals head to head. Next would be goal difference in all group matches (we are ahead here, and assuming we win 1-0, everything prior is a tie) .

3.) 10 Dec 2018 15:40:06
Thats the thing I don't understand, if we win 1-0 we equal their result. So why are we going to be infront of them in the table then? When not only that but a 1-0 win will mean a +2 goal diff for both of the teams.
Did we score more goals?

4.) 10 Dec 2018 17:52:58
Yes we have scored 8 so far and napoli have scored 7/ 8? I believe.

5.) 10 Dec 2018 17:58:16
I see tnx Tj.

6.) 10 Dec 2018 18:24:40
It’s going to be a nervy one that’s for sure!

7.) 10 Dec 2018 18:50:45
If we win 1-0, we go through via GD overall in the group as all the other tie-breakers prior to this one, shows a tie. If they score, we have to win by 2 goals to go through on head to head cos they only scored one against us, hence canceling out their away goal should they score one at Anfield. Pretty simple, really.

08 Dec 2018 11:33:08
Allright, Wijnaludm looks like will play a RB/ RWB.

martolfc

1.) 08 Dec 2018 11:44:24
More likely fabinho. But would prefer Milner at rb and fabinho holding allowing keita a bit more freedom.

2.) 08 Dec 2018 12:12:14
My main worry would be if we suffered any injuries in defence. The only defender we have on the bench is TAA, who I definitely wouldn't play at centre back.

I think it would have been the perfect time to have Nat Phillips on the bench as cover, and if we're very much on top in the second half, it would be a great time to give him some minutes.

3.) 08 Dec 2018 12:19:35
If Fabinho plays RB it will be mistake in my opinion, as he is still not suited to the league and the role he was brought to play. It will only mess his mind I think. Milner is a good call too. But for me Wijnaldum can to the job. Soon we will see.

4.) 08 Dec 2018 13:21:41
So it is clear 4-4-2 with Milner at RB and Keita being kinda wasted at the LW position.

5.) 08 Dec 2018 17:31:25
Martolfc, maybe you should allow the game to be over before you judge whether a player is wasted at one position or not cos clearly Keita was not wasted on the left cos he had another solid game there this afternoon. Just a suggestion.

6.) 09 Dec 2018 18:53:59
What I meant is he is not getting the ball as much everyone would like to. He played well and had a good afternoon.

08 Dec 2018 10:16:22
Should Milner score 3 more goals this season, he will have the best goal tally for Liverpool in a single season and LFC will become the club he scored the most for in his carrer.

martolfc

1.) 08 Dec 2018 17:32:25
Pretty sure Milner would take a PL winner's medal over that landmark, really.

06 Dec 2018 13:44:07
I found that interesting. Our back 4 of TAA Gomez VVD Robertson are our top 4 players of most touches on the ball with VVD 1st, Robbo 2nd, TAA 3rd and Gomez 4th. Then there is Wijnaldum placed on 5th place. This shows that we love to build from the back and it seems to be paying off so far.

martolfc

1.) 06 Dec 2018 14:05:22
I don't quite agree with that Marto. I would much rather prefer the midfielders having an equal or greater amount of ball touches. Building from the back is fine and dandy, but let's develop attacks and be creatively threatening from closer to the opponent's goal and further away from ours.

2.) 06 Dec 2018 15:55:31
All it shows is that those 4 tend to start the game and stay on the full 90 minutes. Everyone of the mids and forwards have been rotated a fair bit.

Yeah ed25 you are right he is not good enough and never will be for the current squad. But with the injuries in this part of the year I think he will get game time unfortunatly.

martolfc

{Ed025's Note - he may well do marto and thats where the squad comes in, but unfortunately liverpools back up players are not the strongest i think we can all agree on that, the first team is very strong and dare i say it as good as city,s, but their squad payers are far superior in every department mate..

Probably Milner as RB. Clyne won't be rushed I guess. But for sure Clyne will be key at the rotation in December.

{Ed025's Note - only if he gets a job on the walzer,s at the fair marto.. :)

George and who plays RB? If you put Fabinho in mid and rest Milner and Wijnaldum there is no one from the first team left. Clyne is not ready for 90 as per Klopp. I am sure Milner will be plsyed as RB and then rested the next game when hopefully Clyne is ready for 90.

I was always curious what happened there. Why was he ever sold to Juve then loaned back the same season, and after one season in Juve purchased back in Liverpool. What happened there?

Is there any interest in our players, do you know something about that? I imagine Origi will stay untill the end of the season as it seems he is in Klopps plan as a late sub if needed. Maybe Solanke on loan or Marcovic for some low amount? Clyne?

martolfc

{Ed001's Note - Solanke is coming close to fitness so will probably move out on loan if possible. Markovic is likely to just stay out on loan, it is not exactly successful so far. Lallana is the most possible to leave.}
