Hi Eds. Are there any updates regarding Benteke's return from injury? Considering Origi is likely to be out for the season, we need him to back up Sturridge in attack.

kyle.lo

{Ed001's Note - due back next month.}

1.) 22 Apr 2016 07:53:54
Bobby is Sturridge's back-up up front.

2.) 22 Apr 2016 08:34:22
Looks like Origi damaged his ankle ligaments. His season's definitely over. Hopefully he will be back by the time next season starts after a long and welcome rest.

3.) 22 Apr 2016 09:18:29
Thankfully Sturridge is at his imperious best and Firmino is handy in that position too.

By the time next season starts? Sprained ankles are bad but they are not that bad . He will be back around the end of next month start of June which is a few weeks after this current season has ended. Unless of course he has another setback or something unlucky like that, wouldn't surprise me.

Is there any substance to the rumour that liverpool are looking to bring Adama Traore on loan from Barcelona? I think it would help replace Sterling, though we already have Ibe.

A quick question Eds. What has happened to Ryan McLaughlin? Has the club decided he is not good enough to make the step up to the first team?

kyle.lo

{Ed001's Note - he is likely to move on.}

1.) 06 Aug 2015 11:35:26
Injuries have prevented him being a regular at the U21s for more than a season. he spend large parts of last season injured too, and has now been overtaken by randall as the first choice RB for the U21s.

My personal opinion is that "senior" players for the U21s needs to move on for their benefit. Yesil, McLaughlin, Smith and Dunn would fall in this category.

Will Liverpool's interest in signing Depay depend on Sterling leaving this summer?

I asked this earlier mate, ed002 reply was that we seem to be looking at alternatives to Sterling and not just in Depay. So a bit inconclusive really mate as I was thinking same thing as you.

IMO They are not dependent on each other but I'm not sure.

2.) 01 May 2015 20:58:02
It will mainly depend on Depay's interest to join us, which will mainly depend on ManU' interest in him. If United wants him, I honestly cannot see any reason whatsoever for him to come to us. They can pay PSV what we can plus 5M , they can pay him what we can pay him, they offer him CL football and based on the past 10 years much more trophies including titles. They also have a better Manager, whho happen to be Dutch, as well as some of the players. The only thing is he will have slightly more competition there, but if he is as good I am sure he believes he is, he will not be scared by that.

If United don't want him and he will come to us we will find the money to bring him. Same story with Benteke. If both of them mirculasly want to come to us and not to United (cannot see this happening) we may have to sell Sterling to fund this. But the big 'if' is if both of them will not have better options. As I said earlier today, I just hope we don't sell Sterling first and then find out they are not coming.

3.) 01 May 2015 21:06:05
Be a good deal in terms of money . I'm sure you get a inflated fat check for Lennon mark2 . And depay would cost 20million and sure we would pay the wage we've offered Lennon mark2 . Depay has great shooting technique n accuracy . He can pass cross dribble . So it's an upgrade .

4.) 01 May 2015 20:30:23
of course

5.) 01 May 2015 23:09:25
It's possible that Depay despises the clown at United

6.) 01 May 2015 23:23:43
Considering Van Gaal has been described as his 'non-biological father', that seems unlikely Essexred.

7.) 01 May 2015 23:50:19
We can also offer depay game time, especially if Sterling leaves. United won't player him over the godlike Di maria surely. Sarcasm in case you're wondering.

{Ed007's Note - Utd are trying to swap Di Maria + £20 million for James McCarthy.}

8.) 02 May 2015 08:55:25
Sounds like smart buisness Ed. They must be taking advice from our transfer committee ! 😊

What is the agreement of the Origi loan deal. Since he is 19, he won't have to be registered for Liverpool's Premier League squad. Therefore, is it possible for Liverpool to recall him in any way such as compensation to Lille?

kyle.lo

{Ed002's Note - Origi will not be available until the end of the season.}

Won't this be a case of a club tapping up a player before the clubs can agree a fee for the player? or is it that Palace have asked permission from Liverpool to talk to Benteke before agreeing a fee?
