just heard from a reliable source who has been right consistently before, that sterling is leaving next month. .REALLY hope he is wrong. BR's team selections are baffling and his recent post match interviews are beyond ridiculous - he is losing credibility by constantly praising his players and their performances depite the fact it is blatant to EVERYBODY that neither performances nor results have been up to liverpool standards. they should have given kenny more time.2 wembley finals wasnt bad for first full season and he brought suarez in and would die for the club - kenny is smart enough where we know he would get it right in time.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any interested side looking to a deal next month.}

wow. it is so much nicer listening to Klopp talk than BR. He is honest and actually makes sense and installs confidence. He is actually very old school a la boot room and seems a perefct fit for us!

Well said mate. Never felt so positive in a long time. Klopp will guarantee better press conferences for sure. No more overuse or misinterpretation of the words 'character' and 'outstanding.'
Welcome to Anfield Jurgen!!!

Took a lot of character to right that post. Outstanding performance jamdow lfc.😋

Ibe has that same on the ball flair and attacking mentality as sterling but he has a much better final touch / shot / confidence. and a much better attitude. He is going to be a star for us next season. i have been a sterling fan since he first joined the academy, but he needs to learn a lesson from Ibe here

You are living in a fantasy land mate. Sterling is light year ahead of Ibe. If we will see more than 2-3 goals from Ibe this season I will be surprised.

2.) 11 Jun 2015 09:52:21
fanobip,
How on earth can you say that Ibe will not be a better player than Sterling?! Sterling's only 20 and Ibe's only 19, ffs!!

In terms of physicality, Ibe appears to shade it. Attitude too, given his recent request to work with King Kenny on his finishing, when he could've been on holiday.

However, he hasn't had the run of games in his natural position that Raheem has, so until he has, no one can say how good he will be.

I certainly expect a lot more than 2-3 goals from Jordan next season, maybe nearer 23 than 2-3 if he is played up front.

Looking forward to finding out, though.

As for Sterling, he could have all the talent and potential in the world, but as I said a few days ago, its a shame he doesn't seem to have the attitude or maturity to back it up, nor the right sense in employing agents! I wish him luck in his next move, and hope that he plays for the shirt wherever he ends up rather than listening to his own hype.

whilst i think benteke is a pretty good player, we are liverpool and if we really want to step up our challenge then ings, benteke, borini, etc are all not quite good enough.. not saying we have to go for a 50 million plus big name, when suarez arrived or couthino etc.this is down to great scouting - this is the only way we are going to be able to compete

Is the OP really John Henry?

3.) 02 May 2015 09:32:04
Abstain, but as long as he's our manager I'll support him

4.) 02 May 2015 09:52:49
Ron I agree whoever our manager is, let's hope we improve next season and they will get my support.

BR has to go.
He keeps talking about progress - but we have blatently moved backwards since last year. The final straw is his comments about how we need a striker because we lost 50 goals due to suarez / sturridge situations. my 12 year old son and everybody else knew the moment we sold suarez for that large amount that obviously we need to fill the gap - lambert / ballotelli with borini there already - was never going to work. I spend lots of money as a season ticket holder who lives in London going to all home and away games.we deserve better

I no we went for sanchez but that was it we didn't go for anyone else near that quality

2.) 29 Apr 2015 19:01:50
Only BR thinks we have progressed because for him, as long as he is in a job, that is progress. he doesn`t care about the club progressing because all he does in the media is look out for himself and trash everybody else with his self-serving comments in the media, who just keep baiting him into making said comments. If he thinks we have progressed then, he needs to go and ASAP.

3.) 29 Apr 2015 21:26:08
We're turning into Everton! Saying we are interested but you know we ain't going to get him. Then that's meant to appease us? Saying we tried? If your sink leaks you need a plumber? if you don't get the best plumber you try for the 2nd best and so on. We just gave up! The difference here for both FSG and BR is we are not daft! Liverpool is still a massive club welcome to the goldfish bowl there is NO hiding place.

we seem to be always lately buy players who are at best at the level we finished this season in the league - not really top drawer players who can help mount title challenge and at worst get into CL. unfortunately this is kinda where BR peaks. he has never operated in the real top tier of world football - neither have FSG, so we are now seeing a reflection of this. The thing is as others have stated on here, we don't have to go buy established world class players for 50 million plus, look how we got suarez and couthino, and ian rush and others going back - clever scouting outside of the top tier rat race
