Heard Gomez be in squad for tonight hope so.

10 Dec 2018 10:24:45
Confirmed gomez extend contract this morning great news.

1.) 10 Dec 2018 11:44:01
Shout out to Square Tomato who mentioned it here the other day. Get in lad!

2.) 10 Dec 2018 13:23:59
Cheers mate.

3.) 10 Dec 2018 15:05:25
Great news!

4.) 10 Dec 2018 17:50:24

5.) 10 Dec 2018 20:05:26
Square tomato not sure where you get your info. from but it's well tidy.

6.) 10 Dec 2018 20:56:48
I think he's a friend of Mr Gomez himself Acered.

7.) 10 Dec 2018 21:43:14
Still remember ST talking about his friend Joe from Charlton about to sign for us.
Seems ages ago and how far he has come!

8.) 10 Dec 2018 22:26:04
Blimey Jurgenator what a throwback lol.

9.) 10 Dec 2018 23:31:48
God that's a blast from the past. I remember the post from ST about Joe signing. remember he played left back for a few games when he signed. and I honestly thought he was excellent there. Couldn't be more pleased for joe.

10.) 11 Dec 2018 07:47:36
Hey ST, is Joe aware of this site and how well thought of he is on here by the fans?

11.) 11 Dec 2018 09:48:07
No he’s not aware of the site really I don’t want to get anyone in trouble but he’s been told how much the fans like him, I’ve passed on what people have said, he’s extemely happy at Liverpool and overwhelmed with the support he gets.

15 Jul 2018 11:19:26
Read this morning Southampton want ings Liverpool asking 20 mil for him.

1.) 15 Jul 2018 11:28:28
I’d be sorry to see him go as I think he’s a decent player.

2.) 15 Jul 2018 11:38:46
I think we would be lucky to get 20m considering his injury record.

3.) 15 Jul 2018 12:19:45
They offering half that lol.

4.) 15 Jul 2018 12:45:25
£10 mil plus add ons is what I read, seams more realistic.

5.) 15 Jul 2018 13:38:23
He needs to play, doesn't he?
If Brewster is promoted to the First Team squad, along with Solanke (and potentially Sturridge who is too good to ignore if he stays fit and isn't sold), then that would leave Ings really struggling for game time.
If Liverpool got their money bak, that's fair enough I think.

{Ed002's Note - Ings will leave.}

6.) 15 Jul 2018 16:28:47
He does need to play, you’re right Juicer. Plus it will hopefully give Brewster and Solanke more opportunities, I wish him all the best though and hope he has seen the last of his injury issues.

7.) 15 Jul 2018 21:46:23
Juicer, it still kind of looks like studge might be leaving, Fabinho wants his number so still hasn’t been given one has he?

22 Jun 2018 21:56:37
I see Mario gotze is linked with Liverpool FC. is he a good player?

1.) 22 Jun 2018 23:24:39
Personally I think he’s finished at the top level.

2.) 22 Jun 2018 23:35:46
Ask firminosteeth he seems to have the inside info that may answer this question😂😂😂😂😂.

3.) 23 Jun 2018 09:05:02
He was close to signing a couple of years ago. looked to have the world at his feet when joining Bayern but injuries and poor form since have seen his career massively plummet. I wouldn’t want him personally, even for the relatively low fee being rumoured.

4.) 23 Jun 2018 10:54:18
I don’t think your the only person to think that frankly lol.

5.) 23 Jun 2018 11:11:25
Hasn't he been trying and showing signs of recovery.

6.) 23 Jun 2018 15:05:07
I'd take him for a decent fee, don't think he'd cost much more than Shaquiri. He may not be the player he was but let's rememember if he was we'd be talking bout a fee in the region of £150M. He's still a good player who's used to the pressure of big clubs and country and maybe Jurgen can help him get back to who he was.

7.) 23 Jun 2018 15:34:33
If Fekir and Remy did not pass physicals or there were concerns about their health, there is no way he would pass one either. About 2 years ago he nearly had to give up playing because of a health condition.

8.) 23 Jun 2018 16:33:02
His problem seems to be that in his head he is still a top player. I can’t see him being happy with a comfy seat on the bench. He could do with shifting a couple of stone too.

9.) 23 Jun 2018 17:27:22
Couldn't we all.

10.) 23 Jun 2018 17:41:11
He's had health problems but the fee wouldn't be big, and if there's one coach that could get Gotze playing anything like his old self its Jurgen Klopp.

11.) 23 Jun 2018 20:08:01
Klopp isn’t a miracle worker. The injuries and illness that Gotze has suffered have almost obliterated his ability to play at the top level.

12.) 23 Jun 2018 20:25:21
Yet there seems to be a few decent teams interested in him. He's declined but he's been up against some very good players for gametime at Dortmund like Dembele, Pulisic, Reus, Kagawa, Castro and Dahoud. If he leaves Dortmund he will definitely still be playing at the top level, either for a top team in Germany or one of our rivals in the Premiership.

13.) 24 Jun 2018 00:48:41
Has a Lucas Moura stinge to it.

14.) 24 Jun 2018 11:18:59
I would take Gotze for sure so not the same FT as above.

He is a World Cup winner and had his best days under Klopp I’d reckon he could take him back up to the top.

Form is temporary class is permanent.

15.) 24 Jun 2018 11:54:17
Exactly. Had superb form for a few seasons. Then lost it. Don't see permanent class anywhere there. Mario Kempes obliterated everyone at the World Cup in 1978. And then disappeared.

16.) 24 Jun 2018 12:48:16
How can someone have superb form for a few seasons and not have permanent class? The one thing he can't be accused of is not having class, the body may be letting him down but ability wise he's a top player.

17.) 25 Jun 2018 09:13:50
Doesn't he have myopathy? Would very much explain his struggles over the past couple of years but no reason now it's been identified and managed he can't be brought back to his best if Klopp believes he has the attitude to try.

18.) 25 Jun 2018 10:06:46
When Markus babbel contracted Guillan Barre syndrome (another muscle weakness disease) he had a year out and still managed to recover and play till he was 35. He was never quite the same though.

22 Jun 2018 21:56:37
Is Mario gotze a player Liverpool are looking at and his he a good player? As I see he linked to us.

{Ed0333's Note - I doubt we’re looking at him now there was profound past interest but the move didn’t materialize mostly because of him as he chose another option. I’m of the opinion we dodged a bullet.

1.) 22 Jun 2018 23:08:21
Thanks for reply I know he close to klopp ed.

{Ed0333's Note - yes I believe they are close bud.

2.) 23 Jun 2018 08:56:57
Is he even reliable too be fit, as the mystery disease he suffered seemed too knock him back a peg or 2, when he came back too play was he up too speed, only thing he could be is a squad player for low price tag.

Harvey Elliott as signed welcome to lfc.

06 Jul 2019 22:28:56
See Milner came first again today in the lactose test the guys a machine.

1.) 07 Jul 2019 06:15:09
Maybe I was wrong in saying that next season should be his last with us. Unless Leeds come up and Milner wants to go back there, we could do much worse than keeping Milner for another season after that.
The guy's a freak in terms of fitness and stamina.

2.) 07 Jul 2019 10:17:48
Holy cow? He won again? He amazes me on a dairy basis.

3.) 07 Jul 2019 11:34:13
Why would they be testing for levels of lactose in players? It has nothing to do with performance.

4.) 07 Jul 2019 16:19:02
Mattie, are you a Sports Scientist? If the answer is yes then please explain your point and enlighten us, the ignorant ones. If the answer is no then your post makes very little sense. Just saying.

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps Liverpool test for lactose instead of Lactate Performance like the leading sides do?}

5.) 07 Jul 2019 17:37:39
Where is Zeddicus and all the lactating jokes, when you need him?

6.) 07 Jul 2019 18:40:05
Mattie 4 maybe just maybe the fitness team knows better?

7.) 08 Jul 2019 00:20:16
Surely testing for lactate performance is best kept to the maternity wards?

06 Jul 2019 22:28:17
See Milner came first again today in the lactose test the guys a machine.

1.) 07 Jul 2019 08:50:33
Can we look at the full list to see who is at the bottom. I heard Gomez was second.

01 Jun 2019 23:40:14

Having faith in the younger players ie Brewster Wilson etc to get the level needed by giving them a chance to prove.
