Ed, considering the latest incident concerning Grealish, do you think Liverpool would drop any interest they may have had in him. I think he has blown any chance of a big club coming in for him.

cymru red

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any interest in Grealish from Liverpool.}

1.) 31 Mar 2020 06:20:46
More trouble than he is worth and wouldn't stand a chance of getting in our team.

2.) 01 Apr 2020 08:38:09
Sure, he shouldn't have gone out when we've all been advised to stay at home.

It'll be forgotten in a few weeks, and I doubt it would put off any big clubs that are in need of a player of his mould.

3.) 01 Apr 2020 14:23:39
Put it politely he is nowhere near good enough he is half a player compared to some of ours.

Hi Ed, any news on whether VVD is going to be ok for Saturday.

cymru red

{Ed001's Note - should be.}

1.) 28 Sep 2018 12:59:58
Still going to be ok? sorry for pestering but that press conference has me worried ೦1.

{Ed001's Note - they are not sure but he should be ok. Hard to tell with the mind games that go on.}

2.) 28 Sep 2018 17:07:31
I would assume he will be fit judging by his instagram page. Says 'Focused and looking forward to another big game tomorrow against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge'

3.) 29 Sep 2018 23:44:08
I can confirm he was indeed ‘okay’ for today. And a colossus as per.

Hi all
Anyone know what tv station tonight's game is on. Sorry if this has already been asked.

cymru red

1.) 29 Jan 2020 10:21:02
Not on the telly box unfortunately, not in the UK anyway.

2.) 29 Jan 2020 11:10:10
try the hesgoal website, they normally have matches on there.
Be warned though they are notorious for buffering so you may have to do a lot of refreshing.

3.) 29 Jan 2020 14:13:50
It's on Nbc if you can get access to that mate.

4.) 29 Jan 2020 14:41:54
Hi Cymru Red, it's also on Bein sports HD1.

5.) 29 Jan 2020 18:20:03
Hesgoal is cool. Some buffering but free lfc games. It's worth it. They also have all the big boxing events and any big sporting events. It's class.

6.) 29 Jan 2020 18:47:16
viprow.net/sports-football-online

Best site I have found for streams, might have to close a couple of pop ups but I have never had a match buffer all season so far.

7.) 30 Jan 2020 07:45:26
eplsite is really good too. watch most the games on there.

Hi, I was wondering if the Eds could tell me that if we beat Porto, and then get Barcelona in the semi, will we be home, or away in the first leg. Sorry if this has already been dealt with.

cymru red

{Ed002's Note - Away.}

1.) 17 Apr 2019 17:45:31
I’d much rather have that than having to close out the tie at the Camp Nou. I know away goals are a problem but the crowd will be well placed to drag us over the line. That is if we beat porto tonight of course.

29 Mar 2019 08:35:56
Now that OGS has got the permanent job, that means VVD will have to move out of his rented house. My question to the Ed's is this. Do most players rent, or buy a house in the area that they play their football.

cymru red

{Ed002's Note - The vast majority buy.}

1.) 29 Mar 2019 10:15:53
VVD doesn't actually move, he just rotates the earth under his feet.

2.) 29 Mar 2019 14:26:37
Anyone know why VVD would have rented in Manchester?

3.) 29 Mar 2019 17:51:00
I'm guessing it's out in millionaire country in Cheshire, maybe Wilmslow or Alderley Edge.

4.) 29 Mar 2019 19:03:47
g1dgo, the house in question is not in Manchester but in Alderly Edge, Cheshire. It is a bit of a luxury house enclave for North West footballers and is about 35 miles from Liverpool. Nothing unusual in VVD renting a house there.

5.) 29 Mar 2019 20:31:20
It’s only a few steps for the big man.

I am surprised that Klopp has let Clyne leave on loan to Bournmouth. I thought he would have been used in the FA cup games to give TAA a rest, or is he thinking of giving an academy player his chance there.

cymru red

{Ed002's Note - Or Fabinho?, or Milner?}

1.) 04 Jan 2019 19:20:23
Seems a shame to play fab or milly at rb and (although I am a big fan of taa) trent has played a few poor games this season. I think this shows us, we are either buying a rb or lovren is back to stay in that back 4 with gomez and taa playing at rb.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has plenty of cover at RB. It makes zero sense in spending funds which are tight on a player that might only occasionally play.}

2.) 04 Jan 2019 19:31:19
I guess ya make a call and go for it. So we go with TAA knowing he needs development but put faith in him so that he is confident to make mistakes but also learn from them. We have plenty of cover.

{Ed002's Note - Or sell him and get someone experienced in with the money.}

3.) 04 Jan 2019 19:47:37
Sorry to say but Clyne is not at the level we require. Better of to get him off the wagebill creating space for a new signing or give another academy player a chance.

If the club wanted Clyne to stay, they would have offered a contract extension by now. Good luck to him.

4.) 04 Jan 2019 20:10:05
Trent may have made a few mistakes this season but he does so much going forwards. A lot of moves start with him and he is usually involved somewhere in most of our best plays.

{Ed025's Note - the problem is robbie that his first job must be as a defender, and hes lacking in that department mate..

5.) 04 Jan 2019 20:48:49
Trent still learning though Ed025, what, only 20 and playing at the highest level?

He is ahead at his age of many of the senior RB's/ attacking fb's in the League.

He left Clyne in his own dust.

{Ed025's Note - i will have that max, i think he may end up in midfield anyway mate..

So it's Wolves away in the cup. Could have had an easier draw, considering the amount of games we play between now and then. The bench really need to step up, and it is much better now than it has ever been.

cymru red

1.) 04 Dec 2018 10:46:26
We'll be fine, not the easiest fixture but not the hardest either. With this team there's no excuses, if we're wanting to progress then we should be beating them comfortably. I'm not worried about it at all, we'll do them in the league and in the Cup. Tricky team no doubt but can they stop us? No.

2.) 04 Dec 2018 12:23:31
They will be at home and trying to play football toe to toe with us. We will spank them. They would be smarter to play a contained game but they won't.

3.) 04 Dec 2018 15:47:49
What the fook have we got too do to get an easier draw first round of cup.

4.) 04 Dec 2018 19:19:57
It depends on who we put out on the pitch cos I reckon Wolves will go full strength.

The one thing I will say in Suarez's favour is that not one Liverpool player who played with him, ever bad mouthed him.

We might not need him exactly, but we do need someone of his calibre in midfield. Our midfield is too much of the same hard working players, and not a lot of guile. As proved against City, when the front 3 are not taking their chances, there is no creativity from midfield. I am not having a go at our midfield players, but I think someone who is a bit different is what we need.

cymru red

{Ed002's Note - Someone like Grujic perhaps?}

My biggest gripe was the number of passes that went behind the player who was receiving it. I know it wasn't going to be as fluent as when the season ended, but I did expect the passes to have been better.

Red, did you read my post? I said it was a thing that I thought had been happening all season. You can't deny, that TAA takes an age to take a throwin. That is not necessarily his fault, because I don't see much movement from players to receive the ball. My post was regarding, that I don't see anything different from teams that don't have a throwin coach. WHY do we always wait for a fullback to come and take the throw, when a quick throw by the nearest player seems the obvious choice.

cymru red

{Ed001's Note - you may not see anything different, but there has been a clear and noticeable improvement in the throw ins.}

As much as I agree with all that you say there are still 2 things that stick out for me ( not just last night, but all season ) . We must pass the ball back to the keeper more times than any other team in the PL, even when there are outfield players in a position to receive the ball. A d the other thing is, what is the point of a throwing coach. Is there a worse throwin player than TAA, takes an age, and no end product.

cymru red

{Ed001's Note - are you serious? Liverpool have the second highest ball retention from throw ins in Europe. The only team better than them are the only other team with a throw in coach. The end product is making sure the ball gets to a team-mate, not sure what you are expecting from a throw in? Do you expect them all to be assists?}

What people seem to forget is that Pogba's contract is up in 2021, so he can leave for nothing then. Do you think United will allow that to happen.
