coutinho only recently said that he would 100% rather be a legend for Liverpool rather than be another gteat player in a team already created. This lad wants to be here his family is settled and he is becoming a red great slowly and wants a legendary status. He is not a greedy man he is a family man. He won't go anywhere if u ask me he will be the best player in prem next year in his new deepet role! legend definitely in the making!

biged1984

1.) 21 Jul 2017 17:07:53
biged1984 though you might be correct you forgot to mention that Phil has an agent who is likely to be Very Greedy and will probably try his best to make the move happen. The player merry-go-round is how they get rich.

2.) 21 Jul 2017 17:09:30
he did say that + he sed he couldn't play for Barcelona because he played for Espanyol. Yeah right he will be playing at the Nou Camp next season if his grubby agent has anything to do with it.

3.) 21 Jul 2017 17:10:02
Come on, who wouldn't want to play for Barca?

Behave yourself.

He is in a position in which he can already lay claim to playing for Liverpool, still one of the biggest and most successful teams, so that's one tick on the list for him.

Good luck if he goes.

I would be gutted, but let's face it, what Liverpool fan and player doesn't like Barca?

We all know our football.

4.) 21 Jul 2017 17:18:49
Do you really think Barcelona would've submitted the bid without getting encouraged by coutinho?

5.) 21 Jul 2017 17:47:14
Yes kopite that's how it works. Do you think every transfer comes from a player contacting a club or something?

6.) 21 Jul 2017 17:30:37
Encouraged by Couthino?

Liverpool sat in a meeting and told Barcelona €100m and we can all talk then.

What more if an incentive is needed?

Best of luck to him if he goes it's a dream move for anybody.

7.) 21 Jul 2017 18:05:37
It was already a dumb idea to quote a 100m euro fee to Barcelona if indeed, we were nit willing to sell at any price. Now, we have unleashed a monster and Barcelona will be back with a fee close to that amount and then will Couts demand to leave as he too knows of this 100m euro evaluation? We shall see but the club was not very smart here.

8.) 21 Jul 2017 18:52:06
It's impossible to bid without getting encourage from player or his agent . Barcelona must've talked to coutinho or his agent knowing he's open to move.

They lack 0% of moral, if they're desperate for coutinho then they'll do whatever it takes to get him.

I still remember how they bullied us during mascharano time. That's how they conduct their business 🙈🙈.

9.) 21 Jul 2017 20:50:15
A bit like us then.

I haven't posted for a while as I haven't been able to contain my frustration at the constant abuse the eds and macka received. what a fantastic site and the best information provided not only on transfers but in depth replies concerning all matters involved. please don't stop albeit the constant moaning and the same exact questions being asked tens of times a day.

My actual question is how is Henderson getting on? I honestly believe he is the vital cog unless we sign Keita. I luv his passion and his non stop work rate. I think a fully fit Henderson is better than signing anyone. eds do u agree?

biged1984

{Ed001's Note - yes and he should be fully fit next season. Fingers crossed he stays that way! He is growing into an excellent player in a position that seemed far from suited to him.}

1.) 16 Jul 2017 18:35:05
I honestly think if he stayed fit after Christmas we would have been at least 2nd! Ed 001 if Keita actually arrives do you think we will go 4231 formation with Keita and Henderson both excellent defensive but both workhorses who luv getting forward with salah coutinho mane and firminho as our best possible team and probably the best 6 we have had for years. I honestly think the defence will automatically become so much better with the blanket in front and lovren and matip will actually show how good they are. we need a little more depth i know but starting 11 with keita excites me especially if the formation above is impelmented as we will have the players to fulfill klopps title winning formation at dortmund.

{Ed001's Note - I do not expect one formation to be played throughout the season.}

2.) 16 Jul 2017 19:12:16
We will see more games with three centre backs.

3.) 16 Jul 2017 20:22:30
I think with the players we have and potential signings (keita mainly) allows us to change our formation and we will have so many options and that can only be a good thing. And being able to change the formation in games where teams sit back can only help us break them down by changing our formation during the match.

4.) 16 Jul 2017 21:51:31
When hendo does not play, our performance level takes a nose dive. Its a fact.

great 3 points on Saturday. Definitely would have thrown the points away this time last season under brendan. 1 thing I wonder is could Milner and Clyne swap sides. Milner crossing was poor at best on Saturday and countless times turned back to cross on his right. Clyne can't cross with his right so surely his end product can't get any worse! what did u think eds?

biged1984

1.) 03 Oct 2016 11:41:53
Problem you have is that Milner can cross and okay left foot cross but Clyne seems very right footed and would constantly cut inside and make it unbalanced. Milner does cut inside a lot but does go to the byline on occasions which adds another attacking threat.

2.) 03 Oct 2016 12:24:25
Milner was outstanding on the left against Leicester, hitting the byline and cutting inside. I thought Clyne did well on the right on Saturday.

3.) 03 Oct 2016 14:19:40
Clyne for me, was poor in critical defensive positions. he seems never to be able to read plays before they happen. When the first cros came in to Borja, he didn`t pinch in to disrupt his jump nor communicate with Matip to let him know Borja wwas behind him. Matip gets caught under the ball and just ball-watched until the cross arrived, Karius hesitates and the goal nearly happens. This is a recurring problem with him as he has some solid days but his problems of being a ball watcher and his inability to communicate with his fellow defenders will always be a problem. he`s not the only one tho as the rest of the backline were awful at times especially with crosses, leaving Karius who needed more protection as it is his first start in the PL on the road, exposed. This has to change.

if I may ed01 please can you give me your opinion where we r likely to end up this year. I'm really hoping for top 4 but honestly think top 4 would be a massive achievement this season. we look top 4 going forward and mid table best defensive. I hope karius will bring some much needed authority to our back 4.

biged1984

{Ed001's Note - impossible to say, could be anywhere this season with the way the spending has been throughout the Prem. I am going with top 4 though, because I believe Klopp being here the last few months to settle in has given us an edge.}

1.) 03 Sep 2016 09:38:36
I predicted 3rd for us at the start of the season but that depends on how we do against the 'smaller' teams.

2.) 03 Sep 2016 11:20:47
8th again boys.

3.) 03 Sep 2016 12:10:37
I still think we will be pushing for the title come the end of the season, even though the odds are stacked against that.

4.) 03 Sep 2016 13:23:16
Top 6 at best.

5.) 03 Sep 2016 14:45:27
If we finish 8th again, then we are in big trouble, I agree with sweet chin, Top Six, and a Cup Final .

6.) 03 Sep 2016 15:11:18
Back to the top of the tree. Champions.

7.) 03 Sep 2016 16:13:12
Run away champions by April 😎.

8.) 04 Sep 2016 07:49:40
6th I'd say. The title will be between the manchester clubs, not too far behind Chelsea and the inevitable 4th placed Arsenal. I think it's between us and Spurs for 6th. Normality is restored.

Apparently which blows my mind he has turned down a contract due to the money. Kids driving ferraris and not willing to graft for the money. Hope its not true but seems to have been offered more money elsewhere. Its all about the money sadly.

I personally think take the highest offer and move on. Clearly he wants to go and sit on a bench elsewhere. Anything around 40m i would take straight away. I just hope brendan don't waste the proceeds

biged1984

{Ed002's Note - That is not how it works.}

very good to hear your views, being a Welshman and watched him drag Wales from the depth of losing to Estonia to the semis. He will be a great replacement for the Everton for Stones especially for the next 4 years!

Thanks Eds for the continued extremely thorough and hard work you endeavour! Much appreciated world wide I know!

biged1984

{Ed001's Note - he is well suited to Wales, they play deep, which means his positioning is not exposed. They provide good protection from midfield too. So he can be what he is best at - a captain. He is a very good leader.}

OK Cincyred Ashley Williams is not a average centre back at all, he reads the game so well, he is a great commander of the box defensively, great positioning. He is clearly a lot better than average? Eds how do you feel about Ashley Williams - surely a bargain!

biged1984

{Ed001's Note - not a fan personally, he struggled once Swansea tried to open up and he actually had to defend without massed ranks of midfielders in front of him. Great captain, but average player. Reminds me of Skrtel, in that his positioning is dodgy and he pulls shirts a lot. The only reason he is a lot better than Skrtel is that he is quicker and stronger.}

Is it that they both fell on their feet at a sound foundation that Swansea had already created under previous managers. I think definitely the case for brendan not so sure about Martinez I still think he will succeed as a manager just not at Everton - maybe in Spain.

What intrigues me the most is how many people backed Suarez and are jumping all over Sakho's back? The racist, the guy who bites. Who remembers his actions now? All i am saying is someone as comendable as Sakho with all the hours he invests in his charity work surely deserves another chance. I can see how much the club and city mean to him and LFC need people like him.
