Hi eds . great job you all do
Just wondering if Reals interest in Mane is firmed up who do you see replacing him
On previous transfer rumours you have often replied . if one of the front three leave.
So if he were to go who would you like to replace him with and who do you actually think we will get?

Wwonker

{Ed002's Note - I think you are rather jumping the gun here.}

1.) 18 Mar 2019 19:52:48
I wouldn't worry about it just yet. Mane is happy at Liverpool.

2.) 18 Mar 2019 20:13:03
I think their main priority will be Hazard.

3.) 19 Mar 2019 02:50:56
Hazard Neymar and Mbappe before Mane or Salah.

4.) 19 Mar 2019 03:35:25
I did see an online article along the lines of “Messi wants Liverpool’s Mane” and it wouldn’t surprise me to see more similar such Barcelona propaganda ahead of a potential CL semi final with them.
Mane is in the perfect team in the perfect league imho and it would be extremely foolish to leave Klopp and Liverpool at this moment in time.

5.) 19 Mar 2019 07:31:50
A swap deal for Varane (who is considering his own position) is the best outcome if Mane’s head is turned.

6.) 19 Mar 2019 07:56:47
Every time a player of ours has a run of form, there's a rumour about Barcelona or RM wanting them at the end of that season.
I doubt Mane wants to go anywhere else, he's not long extended his contract and Klopp and the club clearly don't want him going anywhere.
Yet some have him sold already. Mental.

7.) 19 Mar 2019 08:05:59
Varane and vvd is exciting but not as exciting as gomez' potential for me, as for mane, klopps liverpool isn't a stepping stone.

8.) 19 Mar 2019 08:41:26
Said this many times before - I don't see the appeal of Real at this point in time for either a manager or a player. It's a nightmare place where the managers generally last 10mins and the players just get constant grief, even the quality ones like Ronaldo. Only reason to go there is for the ££££.

9.) 19 Mar 2019 11:37:38
Real, Barcelona and Bayern all going through a reshaping of their aging squads. Yes still huge draw cards, but not the guaranteed winners material they were before. Man City and Liverpool are the two hottest top sides in Europe IMO for a potent mix of playing talent, top managers and plenty of youth to develop even further in the coming years. Keep the squad and Klopp together, and just add the occassional top player to keep it fresh, and we could see a very productive few years for the trophy cabinet.

As you can guess, I’m a believer ;)

10.) 19 Mar 2019 13:09:58
Remember Barcelona have a premium to pay if they want to sign one of our players before 2020.
Does this include the 2020 season Eds?

{Ed002's Note - It does but won’t ever happen.}

11.) 19 Mar 2019 14:30:37
The first 3 comments after the op said nothing controversial or provocative, would love to know where some thumbs down come from, do other fans come on and get trigger happy as a sad hobby?

Lost for words. maybe Keane was right when he said we are ' bad champions' Winning the league seems like a lifetime ago. About to be 16 points of the top, likely to fall out the top 4, heading towards mid table. Injuries, VAR yes its been a challenge but we are so off it. Its now feeling like the CL is our last hope.

Wwonker

1.) 13 Feb 2021 20:57:04
Keane is just a brain dead rent a gob with an axe to grind. Hardly like the season Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea when they went from champions to relegation candidates. His views are no more important than that of a drunk tramp shouting at some pigeons.

2.) 13 Feb 2021 21:00:37
Fairly sure Keane never had to play CB alongside Nicky Butt against peak Wenger's Arsenal when they were defending a title.

{Ed047's Note - Keane is a class A 🔔🔚

3.) 13 Feb 2021 21:12:32
Ed047 you nailed it there.

{Ed047's Note - to be fair it wasn’t difficult 🤣

4.) 13 Feb 2021 21:38:47
Keane is embarrassing to watch, he’s the equivalent of a radio shock jock.

5.) 13 Feb 2021 21:47:06
Keane would know all about bad champions. Remember when Rio got banned for substance abuse in 03/ 04, United were breezing the league and went from 2.4 PPG to 1.4 PPG without Rio and lost the league to arsenal. He’s a tosser.

6.) 13 Feb 2021 21:47:24
"Maybe Keane was right"never ever ever will that man ever be right.

7.) 13 Feb 2021 21:48:17
We are bad defending Champions, you can’t really dress it up any other way.

8.) 13 Feb 2021 23:06:54
OP, I stopped reading when you said maybe Keane was right. We’re City bad champions last season cos no one called them that? Did you know that it was the same Keane two months ago, who said we were going to walk the league after we did Palace?

So now he has flip flopped then. So my question to u is was he a hypocrite two months ago or is he a hypocrite now? Also, what are “bad champions”? Could you please explain this expression?

9.) 13 Feb 2021 23:09:57
Mark08, that expression is absolute tosh and is not a thing? We’re City bad champions for being 25 points behind us when we were crowned champions with way less issues than we currently have? If the answer is no then, why are you parroting rubbish coming out of a guy who would not last a week in Klopp’s situation and would literally walk out like the coward he is? Just asking.

10.) 13 Feb 2021 23:30:31
Absolute BS, we were top of the league for a large portion of the season so far. No team can cope with the amount of injuries we’ve had, you can’t loose you’re centre backs for 3/ 4 of a season and not pay the price for that. The whole team is suffering with that, the midfield is weakened which weakens the attack.
As for Juergen, we all know that he is almost the antithesis of someone like Pep, Jurgen is a highly emotional guy which is the reason he fits this club like a glove. The frustrations of losing so many players must be extremely hard to take. But for a minute, imagine the frustration of not being able to attend your own mother’s funeral, can you even begin to imagine that for a second?
I’ll bet every single person on this site would take a MINIMUM of a month off work upon the death of a parent. The club should encourage Jurgen to take time off the guy should be given time to grieve and that would be as true even if we were sitting 12 points clear at the top. In my opinion the club have a duty of care to Jurgen and if that includes forcing him to take time off then that’s what they should do, it will be to the long term benefit of both him and the club.
I can’t comprehend the inhumanity of not being able to attend your own mothers funeral, let alone what he must be going through after losing his Mum. Frankly if he needs until pre-season off, i would give it to him. The emotional toil of last season and what he has endured recently, we should and must support him through this time. Jurgen Klopp YNWA.

11.) 14 Feb 2021 07:59:54
Beautiful post. Jurgen Klopp’s mental well-being is paramount. I cannot believe the bravery of the man to be in the dugout and then deal with press conferences yesterday.

07 Feb 2021 21:47:08
So so disappointing result. First half not much in it and getting back to 1.1, there was hope. But in all honesty we just look like we are playing with no confidence, when we have chance to move it quickly forward we end up back in our own half, usually with 2 or 3 of our midfielders. Yjiago needs to play more forward or am not sure what he offers apart from a yellow or red card.
So a must has to be to get Hendo or Fab into midfield ideally both but that might be to soon, if not why go out and but CBs. We are in a fight for 3rd or 4th. Klopp and the team have a week to use to get things right. Am sure we can turn this around but wonder how many more defeats before Klopps position comes under the spotlight.

Wwonker

1.) 07 Feb 2021 22:04:03
Klopp just said the performance was good apart from individual errors, if he really thinks that we are in deep trouble,

2.) 07 Feb 2021 22:17:32
OP, that’s all well and good BUT today and as tough a customer City is, I thought we played well on the while. We stayed in the game and at 1-1, anything could happen. And then this guy from absolutely nowhere came to Anfield, kidnapped AB1 and boom went the dynamite. I am still stunned out of my wits.

3.) 07 Feb 2021 22:41:31
Specialk, do you think he was saying that for those listening, but had something different for the lads themselves in private?

4.) 08 Feb 2021 00:32:58
I would be amazed if he told the lads that performance was acceptable. Game summed up for me first half Wijnaldum burst foward and it was 4 v 4 rather than have a go at skinning your man and creating a chance he stopped, slowed down and passed back. City got back and we played around at the back for a while. We are at our best with quick high risk football. We look now like we did when BR got sacked. Possession more important than goals apparently. No one wants to take a chance to be positive just in case they loose the ball. So much fear at the moment.

5.) 08 Feb 2021 00:37:39
Agree with that Oli. At 1-1 it could’ve gone either way with neither team looking more threatening than the other. Sadio should’ve scored in the first half and they got a soft penalty but that’s all they offered going forward.
Second half they isolated the full backs a bit better and got the goal but again didn’t look like adding to it. We managed to get a soft penalty ourselves and put it away, game on.
Then bang. In the space of a few minutes the game is gone. Not because we are the worst team in the world or they are the best but simply because Ali had a moment and gifted them the game on a silver platter. That’s it.
I’m not having a go at Ali at all he’s been brilliant for us but today he had a shocker. All players have them.
If Ederson had done what Ali did it would’ve been us with a comfortable win and everyone saying how well we played and how little City managed to create against a makeshift back 4. Fine margins that today went against us.

26 Jan 2021 22:11:54
Its correct to say there is still half a season to go equally its right to say that we may find ourselves mid table in a few matches. when will people realise that like it or not the league has gone. City will nor surrender such a lead and nor are we good enough at the moment to string 10 15 wins together. As much as we all support the club that's the reality. the best hope we have is the CL where we can raise our game for one off matches.

Wwonker

1.) 26 Jan 2021 22:41:38
Since we have been back from lockdown we have only won half of our games the power of a crowd cannot be the only reason we have been shocking, how can a team score 7, be top of the league, reigning champs, tails up, then literally look like relegation fodder an playing with the world on its shoulders next game it doesn't add up. For the record I am officially a city fan cos they are the only real threat to man united.

2.) 26 Jan 2021 22:51:16
If we suddenly turned a corner and we were playing well again I think it would still be game on but going off our resent form the gap will get bigger by the week. We can only hope we start winning again very soon.

3.) 26 Jan 2021 23:05:47
When will C.V. be finished for good so you Wwonker seeing as you seem to be able to see into the future?

4.) 26 Jan 2021 23:32:14
It's nothing to do with the crowds one bit we are just not tactically as good as we were and do not play to our strengths. Whether that's to do with the injuries and not being able to have a consistent starting lineup who knows but it's definitely nothing to do with the crowd.

5.) 26 Jan 2021 23:47:35
Two things. One we don’t look like scoring goals. Two we look like we’ll concede a soft goal at all times. That’s not a recipe for success. The worst thing is there seems no end in sight to this and the teams who’ve beaten or drawn against us are getting battered left right and centre by everyone else. If this run isn’t halted it will stop being a slump and it will be a disaster.

6.) 27 Jan 2021 00:18:31
In 3 games time we could be 1st or 9th, it depends on how you choose to look at things.

{Ed0666's Note - in 17 games we could be relegated or premier league winners?

22 Jan 2021 22:25:30
Well Sunday is a role reversal. A few months ago defeat in the FA Cup would have been 'so what' and a win for United would keep their only trophy hope alive. Its now a must win game for us, more so for a confidence boost ahead of some tricky leagues matches. There are so may factors that have got us in to this situation, it is now up to Klopp and the players he picks to leave everything out on the field play with a greater sense of urgency and drive. We can beat any team on our day but we need belief and passion.

Wwonker

1.) 22 Jan 2021 23:26:38
It’s a so what game for me. FA cup stopped being relevant in the nineties. Yeah, I’d love us to batter United, but equally it’s no big deal going out of it as the league and champions league are what actually matters.

2.) 23 Jan 2021 05:49:19
Liverpool supporter's wonder why they are so disliked you must be the only fans who don't care about the world's Greatest domestic cup competition and you don't deserve to even play in it.

3.) 23 Jan 2021 06:33:32
Well because it isn’t the worlds greatest cup competition and has fallen far down the pecking in order in terms of importance. Any club would prefer CL qualification over winning the FA Cup which speaks volumes about its importance. I think one of the CL spots should go to the winner but they’d never do that and risk the monopoly the top clubs have over those coveted positions.

You sound like a bitter blue but if you’re club actually participated in the CL and had to actually manage the squad over multiple competitions you’d change your tune quick enough.

4.) 23 Jan 2021 09:57:06
Once our kids beat Evertons first team in it we are happy.

{Ed025's Note - you could not beat an egg at the moment rudder.. :)

5.) 23 Jan 2021 09:59:59
The FA cup is for small teams like Everton.

{Ed025's Note - it is possibly the only thing you have left rudder, a bit like leicester at the moment you are a one season wonder mate, thats why were all laughing at you..

6.) 23 Jan 2021 10:23:30
One season wonder! that's laughable.

{Ed025's Note - at the moment you are stevie, nelson mandela was in borstal the last time you won the won it mate.. :)

7.) 23 Jan 2021 10:27:44
You keep deluding yourself Bluey1878. FA Cup is now a meaningless trinket, nothing more, and given that our resources are very thin (no thanks to one of your lot intentionally carrying out a season ending assault on van Dijk) we should bin off unimportant competitions in favour of the league and champions league, and if you don’t like that, tough luck, go and find someone who cares.

8.) 23 Jan 2021 10:31:23
I don't think anyone is laughing at us Steve 2 games in hand on you 2 points behind its more likely everyone is laughing at you lot with Klopp crying after every game and now blaming FSG for having no more money to spend I think they have spent a lot already and reg the FA cup being for small clubs your one of them as in current form that's the only trophy you might have a chance of winning and it most definitely is the greatest domestic cup competition in the world and the o my fans who think differently are you lot.

9.) 23 Jan 2021 10:36:48
Leicester haven't won the Champions League, have they?
And they're doing ok this season.

{Ed025's Note - no mate they haven,t and they are doing fine...along with the other one season wonders.. :)

10.) 23 Jan 2021 13:29:28
Bluey1878 you need to read the posts!

11.) 23 Jan 2021 12:41:47
Bluey1878 the FA cup is for small teams sure Portsmouth and Wigan have won it in recent years. Now maybe in the last century when Everton last won it, it was a big trophy. But in the 25yrs since Evertons last trophy success the big teams have moved on to more important things.

{Ed002's Note - I find it odd that there are still morons like you who want to embarrass themselves and the club with pathetic posts like this.}

12.) 23 Jan 2021 15:39:49
I find it odd that their are Everton fans coming on here to have a go at Liverpool and their fans but that's not deemed pathetic!

13.) 23 Jan 2021 15:12:02
ed025 are you referring to when lfc last won the fa cup?

{Ed025's Note - no the league before last season stevie.. :)

14.) 23 Jan 2021 20:01:14
Really mandela was in borstal last time we won it so where was he when the blue . won it last time?!

{Ed025's Note - i dont think he was born.. :)

15.) 23 Jan 2021 20:22:56
Kial I read every clubs posts but I find it embarrassing that your fans 1 can't wait to talk about how we basically ended your season by injuring your players while forgetting the tackles your players have got away with down the years it's a contact sport 2 tell us the fa cup is for small clubs like Leicester and Everton and it's meaningless and 3 you have just lost your first game at home in 60 matches and your fans are on radio stations demanding klopp is sacked and now FSG should sell because they have no more no way to invest the tell me everyone is laughing at us do you not see just how daft an element of your fanbase are you yet it's us who's pathetic P. S I didn't know fans from other clubs were are permitted to commentate on their rivals page I will post that to kopites who come on our page.

{Ed025's Note - all fans are welcome on any page, but they must be sensible and not post inflamatory remarks, banter is fine but lets be respectful..

16.) 24 Jan 2021 08:37:35
Hahaha your hypocrisy is unreal. Only a few weeks ago Everton fans were calling for Ancelotti to go after a minor bad run. Even some posters on the Everton page. I suggest you try and clean your own house before you try and clean Liverpool's.

17.) 24 Jan 2021 09:37:16
Bluey1878 are you for real Talking about the tackles our players have made in the past? so cloggers who played for yous were ok then? like i said earlier, its laughable!

18.) 24 Jan 2021 11:58:24
ED25 i agree i like interacting with fans from other clubs. Kial Everton fans calling for Carlos to be sacked I don't remember seeing 1 Everton fan calling for his head and Stevie i am guessing you missed Gerrards 2 footed lunge on Naysmith or Kuyts kung fu kick on Phil Neville its a derby game and that's what can happen you should maybe swap those rose tainted glasses off and stop being so deluded to think its all one way because any truthful Liverpool fan will tell you these tackles go both ways.

Totally agree Ed
I can't remember the last tome Mane beat someone with his pace definitely lost a yard.

{Ed0333's Note - manes demise is a real shame Wonker because the guy is mesmeric on his day. I really want him to come back firing on all cylinders because he’s meant to be a nice guy, does loads for charity etc etc. Hopefully he just needs a great game under his belt to be a catalyst
