Morning Ed's do you think Mo Salah has a realistic chance of winning the ballon D'Or or do you think FIFA will still favour the Spanish league players. Just wondering how the rest of Europe see's Mo's form and how they rate him?

TommyRed

{Ed001's Note - not a chance unless LFC win the Champions League and he gets a double hat-trick of goals as well as netting 80 in the league.}

It's not a fair system he has to be in the top 5 players in Europe. Ronaldo who I believe to be the best player on the planet is nowhere near salah performance wise this year.
Looks like its messi this year.

In with a shout then ed 😉.

{Ed001's Note - seems like it is in the bag....}

UEFA have a knack of ensuring English teams meet each other in the Champions League at every earliest opportunity.

I remember going down to Chelsea away five times in five years when we were drawn together in the knock out phases, from 2004 onwards if my memory serves me correctly.

As Ed1 said, the chances of Salah winning is zilch

We all know how corrupt they are.

love salah, am intrigued to see if he can keep this up for years like ronaldo and messi.
bit unfortunate, but that aware is a bit of a boys' club in that it seems the career pedigree is is taken into account on a yearly basis. then again messi and ronaldo have been dominating for a long time!

anyways, whilst I'd love any liverpool player to win a gong, I just wanna see them do it again and again and again!

Salah is the kind of guy who trains extra hours after training, his mentality is like no other, if he was from Europe he would have had better development when younger and that's the only reason he is reaching this level now and not 2-3 years earlier although he has been absolutely top class at Basel, Fiorentina and Roma, he will do it for years too, let's not forget Messi is 31 and Ronaldo is 33, Salah is 26 in 4 months time.

6.) 18 Mar 2018 13:20:28
No problem then, Ed01.

7.) 19 Mar 2018 13:16:05
I wouldn't be so sure ed. Don't forget salah is from a growing market, with plenty of business opportunities, salah could be the party piece.

If we win the champions league then it's between him and Messi. If we can knock Barcelona out after city then it's going to be criminal not to give it to him. We just don't want Portugal or argentina winning the world cup!

It's swings and roundabouts the premier league, one week it goes for you the next week it doesn't, the best team wins the league luck has nothing to do with it. “The more I practice, the luckier I get”.

I think it's gone right over your head, it's the money that buys these players, god help us anyone having a different point of view to you. I'm sure all the other arse lickers will back you up. Money rules the game, fact, money buys success, fact, your point being?

TommyRed

{Ed001's Note - my point being? Are you doing this deliberately? It wasn't my opinion was it? You are just a turd munching troll who spoils the sites by jumping on with nasty little insults when someone disagrees with you. Do you understand what the word hypocrite means or will that also escape your limited intellect? Now run along and play like a nice boy, there's a good chap.}

It's not true though is it? Neymar scores for PSG, Ronaldo scores for Real, Suarez scores for Barca, shall I go on, money does score goals, it's only a game away before city wins the title. Wan't cruyff just contradicting himself saying money can't score you a goal when he signed for Barcelona for a world record fee? Money does buy you everything, look at Blackburn, if you throw enough money at anything you will get what you want and if you think otherwise you are very naive.

TommyRed

{Ed001's Note - *sigh* whatever. Always one isn't there? The money isn't scoring a thing, the players are. Shame it went right over your head.}

I think the game will suit us perfectly, they have to come at us and we'll hit them on the break, get our away goal and hopefully this might dent their confidence. I thought it was funny the way Kompany says that Man city fans can be as loud as us, all twenty of them. Have faith and we'll do these semi's here we come.

Good thing about yesterday was the penalty hopefully he'll learn from it and it didn't cost us any points, I think the lad is doing fine getting better with each game. It must be hard for him because most of the time he has nothing to do, so he has to turn it on in an instant, might save us a fortune if he keeps it up.
