Shaq scored last night and had a decent game got no issues if he gets some good game time in the upcoming tough run of games . also let’s keep Mo off pens hey 😉.

1.) 09 Sep 2018 15:16:00
We already have a penalty taker with a very good record in Milner. Backup probably should be Mane, then TAA.

2.) 09 Sep 2018 16:41:28
Agreed ND, personally though I'd prefer TAA to be given the job now, he's capable. Either way though, it's great to have the options there.

3.) 09 Sep 2018 19:44:50
Fabinho is handy on penalties as well.

{Ed025's Note - i cant say i know about that FMS...i only watch first team games mate.. :)

4.) 09 Sep 2018 20:40:46
Haha nice to see you back up and firing again Ed 25. More fun when you are about.

{Ed025's Note - its all good banter nick...cheers mate..

5.) 10 Sep 2018 01:38:21
TAA looked really good and confident in free-kicks, right?

But penalties, IMHO, are different, right? Stick with Milner or Mane for me.

6.) 10 Sep 2018 12:34:09
Fabinho is statistically a better penalty taker than any of our squad and in the top 3 in the world. Just sods law he is 0/ 1 arm. When he is on the pitch, he will take them.

12 Jul 2018 20:18:58
Not football related but what boxing profile is next on the list Ed01 really enjoying reading them.

{Ed001's Note - Thomas Hearns will be next Squizza.}

1.) 12 Jul 2018 20:30:58
Are you a big boxing fan ed mate?

{Ed001's Note - yes, though I don't watch it much these days, it is not the same any more.}

2.) 12 Jul 2018 20:40:46
Really looking forward to the Thomas Hearns one Ed mate, nice one!

{Ed001's Note - it was your request mate.}

3.) 12 Jul 2018 20:47:31
I thought it was, cheers mate. Really looking forward to that one!

{Ed001's Note - I am looking forward to it too, I can only vaguely remember him now so I could do with a refresher on him.}

4.) 12 Jul 2018 20:56:16
I'll send you over 'Hit Man The Thomas Hearns Story' tomorrow at some point mate it's a great read and may help you a bit with your research.

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate, you must have one hell of an ebook collection.}

5.) 12 Jul 2018 21:03:03
Any chance of doing Steve Collins ed? I adored him growing up.

{Ed001's Note - he is on the list don't worry mate.}

6.) 12 Jul 2018 21:07:00
Hearns v Duran
Hearns v Hagler

They don’t do fights like that anymore 🥊.

7.) 12 Jul 2018 21:08:14
Oh, please do the Fab Four! Hearns, Durán, Leonard and Hagler. Some of the best fights in the history of boxing. Never got to see them live, too young. Boxing is my 2nd love, Liverpool my first. I really missed out being too young in the 80s didn’t I?

{Ed001's Note - they are all on the list now mate.}

8.) 12 Jul 2018 21:14:10
Salah, check out the four kings video, I've only Seen the trailer, but sugar, hagler, Hearns and Duran, can't go far wrong, golden age of middle weights.

Mayweather would never have a perfect record in that company!

{Ed001's Note - dunno, he could run very fast so he might have been able to run away until the final bell. We all know that is enough for Mayweather to get a win with all the judges in his pocket.}

9.) 12 Jul 2018 21:16:24
If ever you get the chance mate search Jimmy Sweeney bkb into YouTube. He a brother of mine and is the world champion and face of the first legally sanctioned bare Knuckle boxing company in the UK. He's helped take the company mainstream and headlined the 02 indigo london and echo arena amongst others. It's not on a global scale yet but they have top professional fighters from around the world and is growing rapidly. The company is called ubbad bkb.

{Ed001's Note - I will look into that when I get a chance. It is actually safer than using gloves, as it is the repeated blows that cause the damage.}

10.) 12 Jul 2018 21:27:02
Oh there's just tons of them on my computer mate, I'm yet to sort them out into categories but there's just too many so I get lazy with it. If there's anymore you want just let me know and I'll see if I've got it.

I still haven't had the chance to look up that book we talked about the other day but once I do I'll let you know if I find it.

{Ed001's Note - I read pretty much anything mate, I never know what I want to read until I actually see it. But if I do think of anything I will ask you la.}

11.) 12 Jul 2018 21:28:16
That's right mate and it was a hotly contested point as the bbbofc fought to not have the sport legalized.

{Ed001's Note - the problem is that they are not very well versed in medical science. That is why gloves keep getting more stuffing and more fighters suffer because of it.}

12.) 12 Jul 2018 21:28:47
Cheers Idontlooklikeklopp, I'll be sure to have a look at that mate later on tonight.

13.) 12 Jul 2018 21:33:53
Erik Morales would be a great profile to do. His trilogies with Barrera and Pacquiao were legendary.

{Ed001's Note - I have added him to the list for you ian.}

14.) 12 Jul 2018 21:47:26
They're more concerned with protecting the fighters hands with all the extra padding than dealing with the obvious head injury issue because of the sustained blows.

It's been a good chat thanks and I look forward to your daily review in the morning. Goodnight mate.

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate take care.}

15.) 12 Jul 2018 21:47:50
Agreed Ron. Not so many characters anymore in boxing.

16.) 12 Jul 2018 22:15:42
Salah I hit the thumbs down on your post pal was a accident sorry.

17.) 12 Jul 2018 22:53:35
Jay dub red, haha no worries, I think we've all done it at some point mate :) .

18.) 12 Jul 2018 23:52:00
Ed001 — I’m trying to hunt down the video somewhere, can't find it yet.
This is NO knock on Tommy Hitman what-so-ever.
But he is part of one of the funniest knock-outs I’ve ever seen.
So about 20 years ago he had his “coming out of retirement” fight, if I’m correct, and believe he was definitely into his 40’s by this point. So the fight was held in his hometown of Detroit, low-budget fight to say the least.

Well they found this poor sap from South Carolina. This lads only accomplishment was placing 4th in a local Toughman Contest (nickname the Swamp Monster, I believe) .
The whole hometown crowd is hyped to see Tommy. you can see it’s getting rowdy.
Well the fight was pretty uneventful up until mid 1st round.
Hitman and the Swamp Monster lined up two haymakers, both connect at exact same time.
Double KO!
My friends and I had tears from laughter for quite awhile after that.
Anyway — I just had to share, as I don’t know anyone that recalls that.
Again — he was a stud and not posting to knock how great a fighter he was.

{Ed001's Note - I have never seen that, I know it happens, but I have never seen a double KO myself.}

19.) 12 Jul 2018 23:57:12
Great fight ron. One of my all time favorite fights was 1982, Aaron Pryor/ Alexis arguello. What a great fight. I agree with Ed001, the sport is not the same.

20.) 13 Jul 2018 00:03:27
Come on double knock out ever? Rocky versus Apollo Creed the rematch. Rocky wins by getting up before the 10 count. Forget those midget fights with the Hitman, hagler and all. I want to see heavy weights who do absolutely no defensive tactics and throw haymakers like Rocky, Creed ivan Drago, etc. true legends.

{Ed001's Note - you know I have never seen that one.}

21.) 13 Jul 2018 00:21:20
Petecolo, that wouldn’t count as a double knock out if someone got up before the 10 count. just saying.

22.) 13 Jul 2018 00:26:35
Not sure if we can post links Ed.
But I did find a video.
If anyone is interested just go to Youtube and search “Tommy Hearns vs Jay Snyder knockout”

It’s a little more anticlimactic than I remember.
Still rather funny though, as the Swamp Monster is out like a light, then shakes his head to the ref “No more! ” :D.

23.) 13 Jul 2018 00:42:07
Apologies btw. as it’s a Double-knockdown, not KO.
Tommy hops right up.
20 year memory’s a little fuzzy, Ed ;)

{Ed001's Note - it's ok mate, at your age it is to be expected, it will come to us all one day.}

24.) 13 Jul 2018 08:10:07
I hate boxing.

07 Jul 2018 17:57:06
So pleased for Hendo, he is having a great World Cup and is finally getting the recognition he deserves for his quality on the ball along with his hard word dedication and leadership skills.

1.) 07 Jul 2018 18:00:41
He's having a great World Cup.

2.) 07 Jul 2018 18:33:13
He has always been a good player, just under appreciated by some fans and off course he has had his injuries. Ed25 must be ecstatic with Hendo playing so well!

3.) 07 Jul 2018 18:34:26
So pleased with him, and for him, today. Massive performance treading on eggshells to avoid a booking. Success on both counts. Well done lad.

4.) 07 Jul 2018 18:36:05
Yeh, well done Hendo. All the plaudits he receives are thoroughly deserved.
Still believe he should be England Captain. but so glad he’s our Captain.

5.) 07 Jul 2018 19:20:47
Top player.

6.) 08 Jul 2018 12:59:09
Did you notice who got the block on the follow up shot after that great save by Pickford? Yep, Hendo reading the threat just right. He’s really stepped it up for his country these last couple of weeks. And he’s our Captain. 👍🏽.

16 Jun 2018 07:18:08
Good luck to all of you taking part in the charity game today. Well done to Benny for organising - top man - and everyone else who has contributed
Have a great day fellas
Ed01 will we get one your match reports for this?

{Ed001's Note - I will see if I can put something together. Depends on if I can stop laughing long enough to actually see through the tears of joy as ken lifts the winners' trophy aloft on behalf of my team....}

1.) 16 Jun 2018 08:54:50
Haha it could be a very funny report ed you should definitely should rewatch it after you have laughed yourself out. Seriously good luck everyone who is playing and don’t forget it’s for charity so don’t get over competitive and have heart attacks.
Up the pool.

{Ed001's Note - it depends, I might be having to go into hiding to avoid the ribbing from benny and Ed002!}

2.) 16 Jun 2018 09:04:46
Oh are you in the uk ed?

{Ed001's Note - sadly no.}

3.) 16 Jun 2018 09:50:41
I only do ultra competitive.

09 Jun 2018 12:25:58
On this day in 87 John Barnes signed for the club
What a player he was, I had the number 10 on my crown paints shirt because of him, legend
Ed001 where would you rank him in your list of favourite players.

{Ed001's Note - favourite Liverpool players, top 5, favourite overall top 20.}

1.) 09 Jun 2018 12:50:52
Digger was technically the best ever! ❤️❤️ He could dribble past an entire team and could do it easily. Absolute legend!

2.) 09 Jun 2018 12:59:42
Wow what a player John Barnes was.
Amazing sweet left foot.
His crosses were just unreal, he made it seem like he was stopping time when he floated one of them in.
Gave is some great moments!

3.) 09 Jun 2018 13:37:12
He was my favourite Player too. You know, I'm not from Liverpool, my dad is a scot and celtic fan and he pushed me towards supporting liverpool but Barnes was the real reason I supported liverpool. I played a lot of football as a kid, non stop usually, all day everyday but I mean I played for teams from under 9s, decent teams and I admired John Barnes massively. He did things that were unheard of in the English game. You were either a small and skillful player or you were a powerhouse. John Barnes was both. He didn't just dribble past 3 players and score, he would dribble past 3 players and score from 30 yards.

Showed the Brazilians how to play their own game that time. Amazing.

Yeah good shout squizza.

Us non liverpool born fans by a hell of a lot of merchandise to show people the team we love is liverpool and I do love them. My first love and she's always been faithful although I haven't, (swithed to Leeds for three weeks, after fa cup loss to utd but it was a sham, nothing but a husk, a rebound and In fact my heart was still with liverpool) I'm jealous as hell of liverpool born fans, I love the accent and the city is amazing. There is a magic in Liverpool, it gives birth to phenomenon.

4.) 09 Jun 2018 13:58:19
I can remember when we got him. I had Shoot poster's of him all over my wall's mixed in with Samantha Fox and Linda Lousardi.

5.) 09 Jun 2018 14:01:41
Great player, see him out and about in heswall, quite often see Michael Thomas while out walking the dog, really nice guy, though I think he's the person to make me cry and make me happy, when I think bk to standing on the kop for that night v Arsenal, and the tears, but he did score in the final for us, that made me happy. And bk to the barnsey era, Beardsley couldn't half play too!

6.) 09 Jun 2018 14:45:50
Barry . I am surprised that you could manage to fit a poster of Samantha Fox and Linda Lousardi on your walls and then John Barnes on top of that as well!
You must of grown up in a country mansion to have that much wall space!

7.) 09 Jun 2018 14:45:50

So 32m for an impact sub . Money well spent again. I don't doubt that in the right team and system he would be a good player I just unfortunately don't think that it is with us . Hope he proves me wrong but he takes away the best qualities of firmino coutinho etc with his lack of movement.
