Hi Ed
Just heard that the Manchester evening news are reporting Micah Richards is Anfield bound. Any thoughts from your good self.

{Ed002's Note - I can't help. Sorry.}

Hi Ed
Just reading we have made a 20 million bid for Lallana good buy for me and will fit nicely into our style of play. Also papers saying genuine interest in Vorm for 7 million as completion for Mignolet. Usual lazy press or any substance what are your thoughts.

{Ed002's Note - I can confirm a bid for Lallana but the figure I was told is different. I cannot confirm anything about Vorm.}

James Milner is without a doubt are best buy this summer. Quality footballer, a winner and leader of men. His work rate is relentless but does it with intelligence and control. He will be immense next to Henderson and the two look to have a great understanding already. For me that's so important which we need to replicate all over the pitch. Sakho and Skrtel, Clyne and Firmino, Coutinho and Benteke, Moreno and Ibe. Plus the triangles we play in between. Exiting line up with attacking philosophy. We also have great options on the bench now Ings, Origi, Sturridge when fit. Lucas, Allen, lallana and Lovren. Not mentioned Markovic, Toure and some great kids coming through as well. All of a sudden the storm clouds are lifting and our dreams may well be reality in 2015/16.

Really pleased with the shape and performance of Milner and Henderson second half. Milner showed his class and ability. His energy levels and ability to get in and around the box will be an asset for us this season. Thought the 2 of them gelled really well and with either Lallana or Coutinho in the hole with Firmino and Ibe out wide we will be very offensive and more like 2013/14. Still work to be done but a lot to be optimistic about for me. Wont judge Ings on pre season as I think once he settles in he will be a good acquisition to the squad.

Desperate times at Liverpool FC. In all my years as a fan of our great club I have never seen such capitulation from 11 men wearing the famous Red kit with the Liver Bird on their chests. They should hang their heads in shame. I`ll get onto Rodgers in while but when you walk over that white line its you versus your opponent and forget ability and skill you have to WANT to be a winner. That was shameful, disgusting and oh so very, very weak. I`m sorry to say that bar 2 or 3 players its in their DNA. Weakness and the inability to dig in when things get tough. As a professional footballer you have to win the battle first to win the right to play. We don't have the individuals let alone the collective mentality to do that. I have never in my life time and have supported and played for this great club since the age of 3 so that's 51 years seen anything like that today and i'm not ashamed to say it made me feel tearful, dejected and so, so sorry for are magnificent away support who travelled to watch that horror show today. Pathetic absolutely pathetic. The players should all put a thousand pounds of their wages into a pot and pay all those who travelled their money back. Will they, of course not, professional footballers are made of different building blocks from when I played here and abroad. Its lost on some of these mercenaries what performances like this do and mean to fans all around the world. As for Mr Rodgers taxi please time is up I`m afraid. I looked at that side today with no recognised strikers against a side full of energy and intent and honestly thought oh **** were going to get are arses kicked here. I said at 2.30 to my daughter and Red fanatic Gabrielle this will end in tears 6-0, nearly right. What was he thinking? what was the plan ? what did he say when he first arrived total football, don't make me laugh or cry not sure which right now. I have managed a football club in a National League in New Zealand, not Premier League standard by any means but when you lose the players its time to hold your hands up and pack your bags. It happened to me in the end not a nice feeling by any means but that's football and in the end its down to you as a manager the buck stops and all that. This football club is far to big for some players and managers its too big a job for Brendan I`m afraid and please God Mr Henry and co must realise this now. It won't happen tomorrow I would be very surprised its not usually they work but they must make the decision and look for a replacement within the next month. How many players were played out of position today. Stevie Gerard my God how he deserved not to be associated with that nightmare for his last game for the club he loves so much I think that hurts the most. Where do we go from here? Wow massive next few months coming up and the clubs owners need to either go all in and get us a manager who is used to working with quality and world class plus backing in the transfer window or I hate to say Gary the rat Neville could be right. No matter what I will always support our club and always be immensely proud to do so. This has to go down as one of the darkest days in LFCs history. One that should never be forgotten and lessons to be learnt for the future. Who next? For me only 3 in the running Rafa, Klopp or ancholotti. Lots of experience born winners and can all attract quality players. No more so called young up and coming British managers. Sorry but none good enough at the moment. Its one thing to gain your coaching badges its another to take over one of the top 10 biggest clubs in the world. Would apple give the CEOs job to a bright up and coming teenager no they wouldn't. Anyway WTF am, I talking about now just getting carried away because I feel so angry, letdown and a little scared after that today so come on John Henry let's see what type of man you are, a winner? Every cloud has a silver lining mate. LFC have something huge to live up to. That I feel is one of our biggest problems. Perhaps it was those same 11 men that cause the final downfall of BR. Perhaps it was the dressing room speaking?
Keep the faith

There is no excuse for that but just to put it into perspective the setup of the side and the team put out there had a massive impact on that result - Can played out of position yet again, Moreno clearly weak in defence, Lucas on the brink of moving, Allen clearly not up to standard, Gerard is a legend but in decline, and no forwards played at all. not to mention I agree the dressing room has no faith or willpower to play for BR.

If we bring in Milner and a couple of other top players and change coach, it could be a very different story very very quickly, if there's a silver lining, it's that it's clear the season ended in massive decline and BR can't hide behind anything at all in the review.

Hi Ed
Is it true we will have little or no money to spend in January to stay within FFP rules.

Royzered

{Ed001's Note - yes, we are already outside of them, we really need to increase our income or sell, not spend.}

Hi Everyone I`ve been a regular visitor and made some contributions on this site for a couple of years now and would like to ask you all for some assistance with the Eds permission. I have just been shortlisted for the role of non season ticket holders and non members for the clubs official supporters committee. It is something I am very passionate about and an opportunity I would give my right arm to get. Their is a brief description to why you should vote for the individual reps and I hope you vote for who you consider is best for the roles whether that is me or someone else. My name is Roy Heaney and you can make your own mind up to who you vote for. I must say the opposition is quite tough but please vote here is the link.

I knew Brian was unwell recently but didn't realise it was so serious. Gutted he was a real gentleman a player who made a massive contribution to the cause and his passing should be recognised as the loss of a legend and a model professional. As you say a fantastic servant and ambassador who loved the club and its supporters. RIP Brian Hall YNWA

I played football from the age of 5 on the streets of Liverpool 8 in the 60s and wasn`t coached until the age of 11 when I was lucky enough to be chosen for Liverpool Schoolboys under 11s. Attended a few coaching schools in my teens and went on to represent u14s and u15s Liverpool School boys. I played every waking moment as a kid. Out with my friends or just kicking a ball against a wall for hours on end. Would even pay in my bedroom diving on my bed pretending I was a goalkeeper for the Reds of course.
My only thought was to become a professional footballer with my beloved Liverpool. Signed on schoolboy forms at 15 and even trained with the first team along with a few others that summer of 75. Eventually became a professional with Bolton Wanderers Fc in 78 and had a good 6 years here before moving abroad.
I was able to get my F.A. Full License Coaching badge in 1990 and finished playing in New Zealand as a player manager in their National League.
For me kids shouldn't be over coached in their early years and should be left to develop naturally. I am a great believer that mentality is just as important as ability and young people need to develop a love and enthusiasm of the game before you even think of coaching them. I know it makes me sound old but if we didn't have a ball we would use a tennis ball or even a can. Things were tough then in Liverpool 8 but we were out from morning till night just playing the game. Coming in for your dinner only and eating it as quick as you could to get back out their. No PS4s X Boxes.
