Just read Pepijn Lijnders has left his role at NEC Nijmegen, possible return to Liverpool?

If the decision is that Buvac isn't coming back, he'd certainly be a quality person to bring in and replace (and would be a promotion from Lijnders' last LFC position) . Having been a manager already though not sure he'll want to step back into being a no.2.

2.) 17 May 2018 13:23:23
it's probably putting 2 and 2 together but if Buvac really has left for good then i think that I would love to see him return to take over the assistant manager role!

that said, now he has tasted management i am assuming he wants to go start his own project elsewhere, but fingers crossed.

3.) 17 May 2018 13:38:40
Cant see him coming back as a no2 when he has had the taste of management.

4.) 17 May 2018 16:04:40
Leading NEC to 2 IC at Liverpool? Hardly feels like a step backward and would be huge learning experience to be 2nd in charge to Klopp.

Pep may be the one to be groomed to take over from JK when he leaves so that could also be in the pipeline as well.

Congrats mate, hopefully one day a Liverpool legend!

3.) 04 May 2018 13:22:03
Does your son know which southampton player will move to us this summer? ;)
wish you and your son good luck, congrats lad.

4.) 04 May 2018 13:36:42
Wow and I mean WOW you all must be so so proud mate. Well done to all.

5.) 04 May 2018 13:54:27
Very good academy. Wish him all the best! Keep him grounded and he's always got a shot 😉.

6.) 04 May 2018 14:45:59
Thanks boys. Haven't got grandeurs of him being a pro, just happy he's enjoying his football playing with a big smile on his face.

7.) 04 May 2018 14:48:19
The perfect stepping stone 😉

Congrats mate but more important than any talent is application. Let him enjoy his football and love the game, learn hard work is more important than talent, and never let him get too big for his boots and he’ll be alright.

8.) 04 May 2018 15:29:55
Buy him now lfc. Save us millions in 10 years or so.

9.) 04 May 2018 15:31:56
If he’s half as quick as you mate he’ll do well 😄.

10.) 04 May 2018 19:06:24
Hopefully we don't try to tap him up. too soon?

hay well done eds thanks for all your hard work, go and put your feet up and have a cuppa and a custard cream {Ed001's Note - I had to phone up my daughter to come over with milk earlier so I could have a cuppa, didn't have time to go the shops!}

Wasn’t his boy in Liverpool’s academy?

Most disappointed of me was Paul Ince, thought he would push the team on and give us some steel in the middle of the park. The Player I was unsure of was Garry Macallister, didn’t think he could add anything to the team at his age. how wrong was I.

Interesting read Ed001, I remembered when he came on the scene and thinking what a player he could of been if it wasn’t for the injuries.

{Ed001's Note - he did look top class when he was at Cov.}
