Some worrying news is being circulated around saying the newly signed Cardiff striker Emiliano Sala was onboard a plane that has gone missing. I really hope he is somewhere safe and found soon.

1.) 22 Jan 2019 10:11:57
At the moment it doesn't look good, but let's hope everyone on that flight comes out safe.

2.) 22 Jan 2019 10:38:39
Prey that people on board are safe.

3.) 22 Jan 2019 11:14:06
So so sad if true. #YNWA.

4.) 22 Jan 2019 17:43:52
Absolutely crazy. Thoughts are with him and his family, along with all others on board.
Seems bleak, but let’s hope for the best.

5.) 22 Jan 2019 22:31:39
Terrible news puts life in perspective.

6.) 23 Jan 2019 10:15:45
It's times like this football becomes a family, I know how my son felt when he heard his momma had died, I just hope the club's involved give the family all the support they need if indeed the worst has happend. I hope he is found safe and well.

Express are reporting that VVD will join Lfc and their Source is IndyKaila 😭.

1.) 24 Dec 2017 16:49:48
Lol really twitter's biggest fake in the know. Great journalism from the express not 😂😂😂😂.

21 Dec 2017 15:40:33
Manuel Akanji out of nowhere! Never seen him play.

1.) 21 Dec 2017 16:13:44
Basel are no mugs when it comes to talented footballers.

2.) 21 Dec 2017 16:18:56
Akanji is a decent player, but I'm not sure he'd be the best option. I haven't seen him aside from in the CL, and he didn't strike me as much of a leader. 2 CL games is hardly a fair sample size though, so I'll reserve judgement if he does sign.

3.) 21 Dec 2017 17:12:57
Any truth ed?

{Ed002's Note - I don't know. They have been in discussions with Dortmund over a move in January recently. Barcelona took a look and decided he wasn't for them and are looking at another of a similar age. I don't know if Liverpool has made any approach.}

4.) 21 Dec 2017 17:47:23
Ok mate thank you. I only asked as few people were mentioning him on here. Seems to have come out if the blue. We are after a CB so I guess we will have to wait and see.

5.) 21 Dec 2017 19:13:57
Salah cut his teeth at Basel.

6.) 21 Dec 2017 23:02:26
So did Rakitic, Xhaka, and El Neny.

13 Dec 2017 09:57:37
So today's reports say we are after Šime Vrsaljko.

1.) 13 Dec 2017 10:36:30
Bless you.

2.) 13 Dec 2017 12:58:51
Can we all just agree now that if we chase him or get him, he's referred to as Sime? Otherwise the search function for latest info will become a nightmare!

{Ed002's Note - Well to save you searching. It hasn't worked out in Madrid for Sime Vrsaljko and he has been made available by Atletico with several sides already declaring an interest with both his agent and his club. There have been discussions between his agent and his preferred choice of Napoli and tentative agreement has been reached, although they have yet to make a firm offer to Atletico who are not looking to negotiate. Other clubs who have let his agent and Atletico know that they are interested in discussing the player are Inter, Juventus and Liverpool - although he would not be first pick for Juventus.}

3.) 13 Dec 2017 15:14:47
Greatly appreciated Ed002, thank you.

4.) 13 Dec 2017 19:44:27
Anyone else think that right back isn't that much of a problem position and that this might hinder the development of Gomez and Alexander-Arnold?

5.) 13 Dec 2017 19:58:09
I guess it would be about balancing. Has been said a fair number of times that neither Gomez nor TAA is viewed as a long term RB so we will need someone there in next year or so.

09 Nov 2017 02:21:43
Hello Ed01, what happened to our interest in Mario Goetze?

{Ed001's Note - he was injured and not playing well for long periods.}

1.) 09 Nov 2017 06:01:46
Thats sad, I thought he would be a good Coutinho replacement.

Hi ED01, when you got free time will you please do an article on Sir Alex Ferguson? I would like to read your opinion specially on his leadership skills and the way he approached his staff and players. The way He managed to win titles with ordinary looking squads during his final seasons etc.

{Ed001's Note - added that to my to do list mate.}

1.) 29 Jan 2019 18:29:58
Thanks a lot Ed01.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome mate.}

2.) 29 Jan 2019 19:34:48
Hated the man (only football rivalry hate) but undoubtedly one of the greats I’d love to read that when u get around to it tris 👍🏼.

3.) 29 Jan 2019 19:34:48
Hated the man (only football rivalry hate) but undoubtedly one of the greats I’d love to read that when u get around to it tris 👍🏼.

{Ed001's Note - he did a lot for Hillsborough, I find it difficult to even dislike him to be honest because of that.}

4.) 29 Jan 2019 20:03:09
Met him a few times, very charismatic guy, nothing like his football persona.
He had a job to do at ManU and he did it exceptionally well. The whole football rivalry stuff has got ridiculously out of control over the years and to me it’s all part of the enjoyment of the football soap opera. I think it needs to be scaled back with the disgusting chants coming from both sets of fans.
Know a man by his deeds, he’s done a lot for Hillsbrough and there was an outpouring of support from this site when he was seriously ill. Contrast him with ManU’s most recently sacked manager, a man who has caused refs to end their career, criticised paramedics, professionally undermined a female physio and that’s just scratching the surface.
Fergie is a decent man and a footballing great. 👍.

{Ed025's Note - great post ron..

5.) 29 Jan 2019 20:13:18
Fergie commands respect, man. The stuff he did for Hillsborough should forever be hailed and appreciated.

6.) 29 Jan 2019 20:15:34
I never knew that wow that’s amazing.

{Ed001's Note - it was something he did out of the kindness of his heart not for recognition, which makes it all the better.}

7.) 29 Jan 2019 20:28:29
Excuse my ignorance, but what did he do, really curious?

{Ed001's Note - apart from donations of money, he put time into the justice campaign, and backed the families in their fight - “Fergie’s actions speak louder than 1,000 words, him and Sir Bobby coming over,” Dalglish said. “They did exactly the same after Hillsborough. They were over here early doors. There is rivalry on and off the pitch but when it comes to something like that there is not even a doubt about it – they will be over here supporting us and hopefully we would do the same for them." That was a snippet from Dalglish when the stand was named after him.}

8.) 29 Jan 2019 20:48:13
Fair does, I'd missed that bit of information, thanks yet again for yet more education on this site, couldn't do without it.

9.) 29 Jan 2019 20:46:36
That’s brilliant to know I think for us pool fans and the utd fans it should go top of your list 😉 I’m dying to read about it Cus it’s great to know he was there for our cause my respect has grown for the man! And they say u learn sumthn every day thanks tris 👍🏼.

{Ed001's Note - I will probably do it fairly soon, I will try and move it up a few places.}

10.) 29 Jan 2019 21:29:32
Cheers tris 🤘🏻.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate.}

dont jinx it with stupid posts like these.

2.) 22 Dec 2018 15:49:58
Stay Humble my friend, as a Liverpool fans i have heard that its our year for the last 25 years and we came short everytime. let's not think about being the champions and let's not jinx it. Please.

3.) 22 Dec 2018 20:21:21
I thought about us been champions 3 weeks before the season started and I stand by it, we're going to win the league! I'll continue saying it like a broken record because it's going to happen.

{Ed0333's Note - I’m advocating a Liverpool-rumours website meet up in Liverpool on the last day of the season. Would be great to meet everyone and put a face to a name and celebrate our title win. How’s that for supreme confidence Salah mate?.

1.) 01 Dec 2018 00:24:58
Really? Are we now analysing every pass each player makes.

2.) 01 Dec 2018 06:54:45
This is getting old now. He's our captain, he plays defensive midfield, not attacking midfield his job is to keep possession and break up play. Ok he had a bad game, so did most of the others.

25 Nov 2018 07:11:07
Ed01, How to stop Manchester city this season?

{Ed001's Note - exactly the same as last season, just get at them, they can't cope with pressure.}

1.) 25 Nov 2018 11:21:21
Ed, why are they thrashing team after team so convincingly?
I know it’s a very basic question, but could it be down a lack of managerial talent/ nous among the lesser teams in the division? Teams are just absolutely pathetic against City - they barely even bother to play, and we keep seeing the same mistakes made by every team City play leading to the same kind of goals being scored (cut back or slide pass across goal for a tap-in from Sterling, Silva or Aguero) .
It’s a bit shameful how not a single team, other than us, Wolves and Lyon, has even bothered attacking them.

{Ed001's Note - it is because the managers are cowardly. They go in looking to keep the score down rather than going in and taking a chance they might get hammered but could also pick up the points.}

2.) 25 Nov 2018 11:23:05
I wish more people could see that Ed mate. They're spoke about like they're untouchable and that's far from the truth. You attack them, what happens? then you've got a chance, sitting back doing bugger all will just invite them to destroy you. I just wish we'd see more teams going for it against them instead of concentrating on conceding less, go for the bloody goals because against that keeper and defence you're bound to get them.

{Ed001's Note - Pep's teams have always struggled against teams that take the game to them. They have been beaten by some truly awful teams over the years, purely because the other team had nothing to lose and attacked them.}

3.) 25 Nov 2018 11:44:33
True Ed, he relies on his attack far too much, he'd definitely come unstuck if more teams started attacking them. Their defence isn't good enough and Ederson, well, all I'll say is god knows what all the hype is all about. Before people say he has 8 clean sheets, sure he does why? because he's stood there doing bugger all most of the time.

{Ed001's Note - it is not so much reliant on attack as on possession. Teams are playing right into their hands by giving them easy possession and then wondering why they get a hiding. If you don't make it difficult, then you only have yourselves to blame that you get torn to shreds. Mind it would help if teams even did the basics of defending correctly. All of City's goals yesterday could have been defended by good defensive play.}

4.) 25 Nov 2018 12:04:49
It will be interesting to see peps approach the the game against us in the new year. Being at home I can’t see them sitting in the same way they did at anfield but he knows they could be in trouble if they play expansively and we press high.

Cheers.

5.) 25 Nov 2018 13:02:07
It’s the same for us too. Due to last season, teams mainly defend deep against us crossing their fingers we don’t score too many. Difference this season is with defensive solidity (same goals against as City) we only need 1 to win.

6.) 25 Nov 2018 14:04:01
Im getting really irritated. don't other teams in the league want to win at all? city have best players to unlock d defens in bus tactics. y can't anyone get that? for gods sake mourinho beat them at their home by going straight at them last year! y can't others do that? even spurs last year just defended. they can't even play when other teams stick to them.

7.) 25 Nov 2018 16:03:36
So wrapped in other teams and the weekly slating one of our players, that TAA excellent free kick seem to bypass everyone on here, it was one hell of a goal by the young lad, just thought it needed mentioning on here 😆😆.

8.) 25 Nov 2018 16:50:16
Just stay within 2 points! They'll come up against a good team in Europe (where they always struggle) and they'll get Battered. Their confidence will be temporarily Shot, And they'll drop points. Then we've got to pounce.

9.) 25 Nov 2018 17:12:52
West ham had about as many chances as City yesterday, they just didn't take them. In fairness City attacked very well, but all west ham did was toss the ball right back to city which invited constant pressure. Credit where it's due some of the movement is wonderful and they work hard, but a more savy a d clinical West ham would have got something out of that game in my opinion.

{Ed025's Note - you do make me smile you reds fans istanbul, west ham were trounced 4-0 at home and you think west ham could of got something from it????, they did get something...a good arse kicking by the best and most clinical side in the league mate..

10.) 25 Nov 2018 17:25:28
Couldn’t age agree more Ed. His teams keep coming clean sheets because they keep the ball so well, limiting the opposition to creating few chances. It’s not that they are actually good defensively, teams just allow them to play the way they want to play. You actually go at Pep teams and you realise that they aren’t as good defensively as stats suggest. It’s just a case of managers not having enough balls to go out and beat them because they’re too scared to lose.
