I reckon we should tap up Jezza Corbyn. About as far left as you can get and always on the defensive. Could be a masterstroke. Plus he is a nice guy and counts towards the home grown quota.

We have been linked (maybe just because he is German! ) in the past to Jonathan Tah, highly rated and 21 y/ o and possibly cheaper option. Don't know his contract status or interest, but would be a good alternative if CB is needed.

You know effective scouting can find players that are much cheaper and not found yet, I think we got some Brazilian lad like that. what's his name again?
Or we can go the Labour route and spend spend spend and let the club go bankrupt! Sorry for that Labour voters.
FSG have spent big, they have invested - the sums for players are huge now and getting bigger.

I agree the defence needs improving, if we are after a CB I assume we would play 3 at the back - otherwise we would be getting LB sorted I think.
I think there are comparable cheaper options far less than £70 mil for VVD, the same price for a CM seems excessive.
There are talks of Max Meyer CM, everyone has been scouting the under 21 tourno - hopefully us too as there are some talented youngsters there. Maybe cheaper options available who we could develop.
I just want the Defence fixed, our attack is looking in great shape now.
