See some rumours that Liverpool are not willing to meet Roma valuation of Salah and this may put deal in jeopardy. Any truth in this eds?

{Ed025's Note - as far as i know things have gone well, you will hear lots of things like this though on most deals red one..

1.) 06 Jun 2017 11:37:39
No that's not the case Red One. It's simply negotiations. You don't go and pay what they want. You say no no that's too much we are not willing to pay that. And then offer lower.

The teams performance last evening was a bit patchy with players not reaching their standards. This often happens after a big emotional performance like the Utd game. Great thing is we still won! Happy Christmas to all posters and ed's.

1.) 22 Dec 2018 11:00:05
Red One, the game was patchy for both teams and us not being at it had more to do with the weather conditions (same for both teams) and the way Wolves pressed us with their high tempo play off the ball. We had issues playing it out of the back and playing it out well whenever they pressed us. These caused the hairy moments Wolves had and hats off to them for the way they played us esp. in the first half.

In the second half tho, we played them much better and since they could not keep the press up at the same tempo as the first, we just wore them down and the goal came and as soon as it did, the game was over. Hats off to Klopp and the boys for making the right adjustments at half time. All in all, a professional performance and we move on.

2.) 22 Dec 2018 12:06:17
Both teams struggled to play the ball in the conditions. But Salah was excellent.

3.) 22 Dec 2018 12:41:26
Another away game and Wijnaldum was hiding again. I didn’t see anything of him until the 75th minute. 😄.

As long as we don't end up in the EUFA cup playing on a Thursday! Would rather be out completely.

{Ed002's Note - That would not be what the club or any other club would want. Perhaps Liverpool could look to lose by as many goals as possible to keep you happy.}

1.) 28 Nov 2018 23:04:04
Well done ed002 - wise words 👍.

2.) 28 Nov 2018 23:06:57
Agree why would you not want to be still in eufa we need a trophy.

3.) 29 Nov 2018 07:57:23
Daft post. For me the Europa Cup is the next best trophy to win after the PL and CL. It's worth trying for imo.

4.) 29 Nov 2018 08:09:29
Morning Gents, no shame in losing to psg. Maybe a few regets that we didn't play so well. But let's not forget that we've not be 100% on top of our game yet this season. Last year when we were playing Europe's finest we were flying in the group stages. Maybe this was the kick up the arse we needed just before a derby. A defeat is sometimes needed to rally the troops. I would say a times Neymar was unplayable, if he would cut the diving out he would be the best in the world for me. Cheers.

Did they play YNWA a few minutes earlier on Tuesday night? Was this to stop the champion's league anthem being sung over? It was finished before the players emerged from the tunnel.

1.) 20 Sep 2018 12:36:28
Always like that Europe mate.

2.) 20 Sep 2018 13:01:49
Haha, imagine being the poor sod who had to tell Liverpool fans they can't sing YNWA now because they branding guys want the Champions League music to play alone if that were the case.

3.) 21 Sep 2018 22:55:04
For some of the big games the crowd repeatedly sings YNWA over the top of the Champions League theme. Similar to the FA cup final Abide with me song. Haven't been to all the Champions League games recently but last time I went I thought they'd turned the speakers up to try and counter it. Might have been my imagination 😂.

The back 4 yesterday had lots of pace which is great to see. I think Fab will be the main protector of the back 4 with at the moment Keita and Milner attacking. Lovely balance to the team.

1.) 13 Aug 2018 19:19:14
Let's not forget Hendo mate, if he stays fit I see him being a vital part of the team this season. Great to have the options though, I think we'll see quite a bit of rotating.

2.) 13 Aug 2018 20:40:38
I'd love to see a midfield of Fab, Hendo and Keita. Keita with his runs and trickery, Hendo with his energy and passing, Fab to break up play and start the attacking moves.

3.) 13 Aug 2018 21:05:00
Chaki, for me, that would be one of the best midfields in the league. Only just behind City.

4.) 13 Aug 2018 21:05:00
Chaki, for me, that would be one of the best midfields in the league. Only just behind City.

5.) 13 Aug 2018 21:16:28
I'm going to go for VVD he has improved the defence immensely. Once we go 4 goals up I now relax.

6.) 13 Aug 2018 21:34:39
Chaki, I see that midfield being used when we play the big boys like City, Arsenal, Spurs away from home. Lots of steel and quality with Naby in the b2b role.

7.) 14 Aug 2018 01:11:06
Afters yesterdays performance you can't drop Milner for Fab or Hendo what a game he had a true professional.

8.) 14 Aug 2018 07:32:18
I think Hendo, Keita and Milner for some games (more attacking), and perhaps Fabinho, Keita and Hendo for others (more defensive)

Think it’s harsh on Gini and Lallana though. Gini has a fantastic game vs West Ham, let’s hope he’s consistently at that level this season.

9.) 16 Aug 2018 13:03:54
At some point we also need to make space for Shaqiri and Ox as well. What incredible options we now have!

What from i have seen of Mane in pre season he seems more focused and is taking on more responsibility and I don't mean just taking penalties. It's his general play and demeanour in the games. Looks like a leader.

1.) 02 Aug 2018 13:33:49
I know Salah blew everyone away last season but I think Mane went a bit under the radar because of it. When Salah had a dip in form early in the new year, Mane was crucial to keeping us in the CL and was often our best player IMO.

I think the front three are just as important as each other, we’re very lucky indeed.

2.) 02 Aug 2018 13:57:34
Salah gets the headlines but he wouldn’t get half the praise and goals without Mane and Firmino.

3.) 02 Aug 2018 15:50:03
Dip in form? What did he go like 2 weeks without a goal? Wasn’t he injured then too aha?

4.) 02 Aug 2018 17:53:06
Lol firmane, I don't remember a dip? Just 1 goal a game?

5.) 02 Aug 2018 17:53:48
I agree though. I think mane might be our top scorer this season, especially if he is on pens.

6.) 02 Aug 2018 20:51:50
Mane NOT SALAH, was our best player at the start of the season well, until City away from home happened. He had a rough patch physically and mentally but boy, did he come back strong and finish the season stronger. Also, how can we say Mane flew under the radar when he had 20 goals in all comps. last season, improved his game to become temporary no. 10 during games, and helped create the season Salah had and is now on penalty duty? Mane is a beast of a player and a temporary dip in form will NEVER change that. In fact, he has improved so much since he came here that he is now twice the all-round footballer, he was when we signed him. Brilliant footballer!

I think De Ligt lacks real pace and as Liverpool play a high backline that is essential.

Fabinho will play in midfield I think and won't be used to cover fullback. Not with Gomez available.

I agree with Barry and Red Meister, we need money so can't let him go on a free next year.

Lallana gave away possession almost every time he got the ball. He slows down the play with too many touches. In this current team he is a liability not a help. Don't get me wrong he has class but not for our style. Shaq came on and the game quickened. It's how we need to play.

{Ed0333's Note - I agree totally fella, the quicker we get rid the better. I was at Anfield to watch the game and he was abysmal. I fail to see how he has a future at Liverpool.

May wherever God they believe in bring them to whatever heaven they believe in and rest them in whatever peace they believe in. YNWA.

{Ed0333's Note - Let me echo those sentiments. May those who tragically perished Rest In Peace.
