Watford team news, no help there then!

Red 911

1.) 09 Mar 2019 17:37:06
Watford have an eye on the FA cup next week and they have a squad of players and are using them as they see fit, just as Klopp decided to use his squad in the cups as he saw fit. The biggest game of the season for them is next week in the cup, not now against City. What Liverpool want or need is of no concerned to them, nor should it be.

2.) 09 Mar 2019 17:53:58
After the mauling they got last week I don't think making changes is a bad idea.

3.) 09 Mar 2019 18:08:04
Watford won last week 2-1 against Leicester and prior to the game against us won 5-1 against Cardiff. And with 37 minutes gone are comfortale against City so they are doing ok.

4.) 09 Mar 2019 18:21:18
All the Citeh fans booed their team off at half time, all two of them.

5.) 09 Mar 2019 18:35:14
Said it already we won’t be getting favours or should we be expecting them from other teams!

6.) 09 Mar 2019 18:37:56
Be cheering now though 2 in the first 5 minuets of the second half. Will be 5 or 6 by the look of it. So just means Liverpool will need to do thier job tomorrow. Not Watfords fault just the way it is.

7.) 09 Mar 2019 18:53:14
It is Watford’s fault that they’re losing 3-0 😖.

8.) 09 Mar 2019 19:13:35
I said before I expected 9 wins out of 9 for City. Our run against the likes of West Ham and Leicester has cost us the title. Seasons over, we’ve at least got champions league next season, that’s all we’re getting.

{Ed025's Note - you sound like walter there FMS, there is a long way to go mate and i can assure you that city will drop points....and you can take that to the bank..

9.) 09 Mar 2019 19:21:17
City won’t drop any points, I’ve not seen any teams make an effort against them since Newcastle beat them. They’ve got 8 easy games until they pick up another title. Let’s hope UEFA grow a pair and give them a kicking for some schadenfreude.

10.) 09 Mar 2019 19:15:53
What about City’s first goal? Sterling was correctly flagged offside by the assistant referee when he put the ball in the net. The referee then had a long, long conversation with the assistant and wrongly over-ruled him to give the goal. More disgraceful refereeing. Probably hasn’t affected the result (we’ll never know) but it stinks just the same. The only question is how much was in the brown envelope.

{Ed025's Note - i am not a referee WW but on the BBC site it said the goal was correctly given, but we have to give up on these conspiracy theories mate as its getting embarrassing..

11.) 09 Mar 2019 19:16:21
Love Benny to explain that offside decision on the first goal, has the interfering with play rule gone?

The defender has to play to the whistle but if sterling ain't there he could shepherd it out🤔.

12.) 09 Mar 2019 19:23:28
I don't get why people presume city won't drop another point this season. But if they don't fair play to them and they will deserve the title by accumulating the most points over 38 games.

{Ed025's Note - thats right WYred and the same if liverpool win it mate..

13.) 09 Mar 2019 19:23:58
They beat Watford and now WE'RE down and out frankly? sort it out mate you're speaking nonsense. Ed25 is correct, there's still quite some time to go just yet, believe fgs.

{Ed025's Note - your dead right mate..

14.) 09 Mar 2019 19:29:06
Its obvious who the officials want to win the league, dubious penalty against West Ham, today first goal clearly offside if this never counted then deeney goal would of been the equaliser and pressure on.

{Ed002's Note - This is getting very embarrassing.}

15.) 09 Mar 2019 19:31:48
We were out of it long ago. The fact Watford fielded a weakened side and City got a vert iffy reffing decision to gift them a first goal just rubs it in.

{Ed025's Note - i give up at times, once hailed as the best supporters in the land have now turned into snowflakes...very sad...and a bit cringeworthy..

16.) 09 Mar 2019 19:44:20
Don't taint us all with the same brush ed25!

{Ed002's Note - Nobody is doing that.}

17.) 09 Mar 2019 19:45:43
Ultimately the only positive thing is that at least we made the season last until January. The draws against West Ham and Leicester killed the season off and there is no evidence to suggest that any of City’s opponents will remotely give them a game.

18.) 09 Mar 2019 19:37:55
Ed025, but my conspiracy theories keep me warm during these cold, wet winter nights!
The referee’s decision on that Sterling goal was another of those which is so blatantly wrong that it is virtually impossible to believe that it was human error. He brazenly intervened to overturn the assistant’s correct decision to the benefit of City. City are being investigated by FIFA, UEFA, the FA and the PL for possible financial irregularities. Why is it so far fetched to think that their financial shenanigans could stretch to bunging referees?

{Ed025's Note - because it makes you look foolish WW?, even if it was a mistake then im afraid these things happen, win with magnanimity and lose with dignity and you will earn the respect of the footballing world, whinge like babies over every decision and continually moan that the world is against you and you will earn the reputation you seem to have at the moment im afraid mate..

19.) 09 Mar 2019 19:38:00
Very embarrassing indeed. No conspiracy guys, no attempt to stop Liverpool winning the league, just poor officiating. You can’t just list decisions that have gone City’s way and forget that we have won several points this season through poor officiating as well. If they win, they’ll have deserved it. If we win then we will.

{Ed025's Note - absolutely RITWW, at last a bit of common sense mate..kudos..

20.) 09 Mar 2019 20:11:39
Wish people would calm it down, even with a full side did you expect Watford to turn them over at their place? Embarrassing posts, we need to win ours end of, there are no conspiracies or plans to stop us winning anything, its just football, lots to be played yet so simmer down
YNWA.

{Ed025's Note - well said midlands..

21.) 09 Mar 2019 20:15:27
And we call the blues bitter. Sounds like your more interested in City than Liverpool. Just support the reds and moaning about things that have nothing to do with our club!

{Ed025's Note - i could not agree more longthing..

22.) 09 Mar 2019 20:25:11
Come on lads, we’ve had dubious decisions go our way this season, it’s horses for courses.

Watford fielded a weakned team, yes but City would have probably won regardless.

Though I have to agree, the title is not in our hands now and if we do finish second to City, the points dropped ( when we were 7 points ahead) against West Ham and Leicester will probably be the downfall.

23.) 09 Mar 2019 20:30:23
I can’t believe what I’m reading, I had to re read it to make sure it wasn’t sarcasm! You sound like kids having a tantrum! “Season over, brown envelopes, no favours” WTF is wrong with you? It is getting embarrassing now all the whining.
The first goal was human error in my eyes but so what? Move on, these things happen there’s no conspiracy against us winning the league.
Also, what favour do Watford even owe us? They have a cup game coming up and rested players. They’re not in danger of relegation, they’re entitled to pick whatever 11 players they want.
As for season over. how immature are you? We have 27 points to play for. There’s a long way to go!

{Ed025's Note - great post welsh..

24.) 09 Mar 2019 20:37:09
city play United spurs and Burnley in the space of 8 days

United and Burnley away

very high chance of them dropping points in that week we just need to be close enough to them to capitalise

Jesus lads give it a rest and just support the team and enjoy the rest of the season.

25.) 09 Mar 2019 20:42:14
"this is getting embarrassing" so our the referring decisions the officials are supposed to be fair to both sides. Peter Walton Ex Premier Ref has gone against a former colleagues decision on BT Sport, and he had access to 10 camera angles, if there is doubt why give it to the home side.

i think "this is getting embarrassing" should be aimed towards the officials, some of them don't clearly know the rules, reference Mane goal at Arsenal cost us two points, also Mane goal against West Ham should not of been allowed clearly offside and the second half bias to West Ham who knows what would of happened if the ref had been fair to both sides in the second half.

{Ed025's Note - no one is saying the ref may not have got it right 007 iin fact it looks as though he may, and i think we all agree that reffing standards are not as good as they should be, but that does not excuse the moaning and accusations of cheating on here, or the defeatist attitude and self pity we are witnessing mate...embarrassing? yes most definitely..

26.) 09 Mar 2019 20:52:04
I wonder if Man City thought there was a conspiracy against them when Liverpool beat Watford 5-0 recently. Man City deserved to win today, its that simple.

27.) 09 Mar 2019 21:20:47
Maybe there was another official hiding in the 'grassy knoll' that made the call?

O. O.

{Ed025's Note - nice one banjo..

28.) 09 Mar 2019 21:27:20
Ed25, your an Everton fan but mate sometimes I think your more of a Liverpool fan than some of OUR fans!

TBH I'm quite fed up of it now, every single time City win a game we're automatically ruled out lol it's becoming beyond a joke. City won today, fair play to them, it keeps it exciting that's the way I look at it! but so many people are acting bloody silly as if the world is against Liverpool lol that's not the case at all! we're 4 points behind, tomorrow we'll be back to 1 point behind, that in my eyes is bloody good going.

{Ed025's Note - i know what you mean salah, its just so over the top its unbelievable mate..

29.) 09 Mar 2019 21:32:43
Frankly, just stop. Either you're doing this on purpose to piss everyone off or you just need to find another hobby. This I'm going to eat a worm attitude is tiring really.

{Ed025's Note - tell me about it mate..

30.) 09 Mar 2019 21:45:38
Agreed Ed mate, the way I look at it is there's 18 teams in the league who would absolutely love to be in our position right now, we need to enjoy it instead of speaking nonsense and ruling ourselves out at every single opportunity.

31.) 09 Mar 2019 21:57:36
I can’t wait to get to the game tomorrow. In all the years I’ve been going, for some reason I’m really buzzing for this match. Plus and more importantly, the 12pm kick off means I’ll be back in time for my Sunday roast without having to entertain the microwave!

3 points tomorrow and we’re right back in it lads.

{Ed025's Note - dead right you are drogie..

32.) 09 Mar 2019 22:00:41
Ed025 and other posters, I am quite relaxed about being labelled boring, a whinger and a nutter with my frequent posts banging on about corrupt referees. But can I just be clear about one thing please. I do not believe there is a conspiracy against Liverpool to stop us winning the PL and I do not believe that Liverpool get more bad decisions against us than other PL clubs. Of course, I offer examples of awful refereeing from Liverpool games and other games involving the PL Top 6 because those are the ones that I see first hand and/ or which get most television and media coverage. But my proposition is that PL referees make so many awful decisions in so many matches that the only credible reason is that they must be cheating.
I promise this is my final post on referees - that is, until it is proven that there is corruption amongst PL referees and I will be posting to say I told you so! ’.

{Ed025's Note - if it is proven then i will show my arse in john colliers window WW, until then please keep your promise mate.. :)

33.) 09 Mar 2019 22:29:27
John Colliers you must be older than me?

Good Night Ed025 and don't forget to wash ye Bum.

{Ed025's Note - i wont need to 007...night mate..

34.) 09 Mar 2019 22:36:38
Ed025, That really would be a case of ‘John Colliers, John Colliers the window to watch’! And it is a Scout promise so you can take it to the bank.

{Ed025's Note - i will do mate..

35.) 09 Mar 2019 22:59:36
As you’ve taken the 5th Mourinho and promised not to talk about referee’s, WW, then I shan’t wait for a reply, but I do agree about the general reffing situation. It is utterly dire. Terrible inconsistencies and a league, which in the end, is shaped by poor decisions time and time again. I would love somebody to sit down and actually work out how the table would look if correct decisions were given.

Odd mistakes can be forgiven, but huge, glaring decisions in almost every match shows something is terribly wrong. I can’t for one second believe that nefarious work is at play because then it just makes a mockery of every single fan, let alone the various owners who pump millions into the teams. What would the motives be anyway? They are just poor and getting worse. It is worrying. We can only hope VAR eradicates most of these errors rather than bringing in a whole fresh set of controversies.

36.) 10 Mar 2019 00:07:02
We too have scored them and ours was more embarrassing. please stop this nonsense world is against us thing.

37.) 09 Mar 2019 23:35:28
Ed0025 if I'm ever in Liverpool, I'd love to have a beer with you. You seem like someone I'd really get along with. You, Ron and Salah for sure.

{Ed025's Note - cheers mate..

38.) 10 Mar 2019 09:10:11
Jesus, almost slit my wrists reading your posts Mr Shankly ;) . Cheer up son!

39.) 10 Mar 2019 09:58:27
“Ed0025 if I'm ever in Liverpool, I'd love to have a beer with you. You seem like someone I'd really get along with. You, Ron and Salah for sure. ”

It’s a deal stone 🤝.

40.) 10 Mar 2019 10:04:33
Yeah I'd bloody love something like that stone.

41.) 10 Mar 2019 10:52:04
007 - should we go and give back the points we've earned from ref calls that favored us? endless and hopeless circle you're on mate

frankly - enjoy watching whatever it is that will float your boat until next season. see ya.

After watching the game last night, very disappointed to see us linked with shaquiri, ojo Wilson and Woodburn need to be given a chance or we will lose them, not bashing shaquiri but he is average and will only sit on the bench or fill in, I would much rather see the young lads getting game time.

Red 911

1.) 11 Jul 2018 18:15:52
Ojo will leave, Woodburn will go on loan and shaqiri and Wilson will be back up to Salah and mane.

2.) 11 Jul 2018 18:21:23
Agreed Red 911. I would prefer to see the younger lads get a chance, especially Wilson as I have said on other threads. But if Shaqiri does happen, we just have to trust Klopp and support the lad.

3.) 11 Jul 2018 18:49:18
I'd keep ojo. He is ready to play a role in the 1st team. id rather have ojo than shaqiri.

That's the problem bringing salah into the argument is irrelevant, to let anybody in any job to continue to make the same mistakes never improves anything.

Klopp was wrong in his comments but what I see every time I watch football any team is refs seem to make decisions based on the player not the incidents, it's the same for all teams and why foreign refs are better because they don't know the players.

Just my opinion.

Nothing to do with Liverpool, premier league refs are the worst in Europe if their performance is never questioned without the sore loser tag how will they improve?

Red 911

{Ed025's Note - by letting them get on with their job 911?, the thing is that i did not hear liverpool supporters whining about the ref when salah should have been booked and then banned for simulation mate...thats double standards right there..
