Question for Ed1 if you are about.

Whats your insight on Studge? In the sense that there are a lot of rumours flying about (and I think Gerrard hinted at something similar in his book) That unless Studge is 100% fit he won't play and he has a weak mentality. i'm not in favour of pushing players too hard and ruining their health of course but it doesn't seem he is reliable and it is frustrating as he is a quality striker when not on the treatment table.

Any insight/opinion would be much appreciated.

Pkbcn

{Ed001's Note - Sturridge is right not to play unless 100%, it is nothing to do with mental weakness, it is to do with his body. If it is not 100%, that is when it breaks down, and that is what we are seeing constantly. The change in training, the big step up in fitness required under Jurgen Klopp, has already hurt him. Some people, those with a less explosive pace, can continue when half cocked, just by being careful. Someone like Sturridge, he simply can't, as the power he generates is so enormous it strains the body constantly. He needs to be managed carefully, and to change his lifestyle, but other than that there should be no long term issue to keeping him fit. The lifestyle is a big thing though.}

Question for Ed01 if you are about mate,

I think I recall you (to the best of my knowledge, apologies if it was ed02) saying Ian Ayre will be taking a job with Standard Chartered at some point in the near future. Is this still the case? Also what are your views on him being pictured with bikini clad women, on the piss, on Robbie Fowlers shoulders etc when away with the club, Surely he should be acting more professionally than he does? I know he takes a lot of stick some warranted, some not i'd imagine but I can't help but thinking he's making a rod for his own back.

Pkbcn

{Ed001's Note - I believe the role is only open if he leaves us, last I heard anyway, it was just waiting for him if he ever became available.
Tough one about his actions, on the one hand he is perfectly entitled to a social life away from work, but it should stay private and not while away on club business. Same goes for Robbie as well, love him but he is employed by the club to represent it and he needs to remember that.}

1.) 11 Feb 2016 11:59:05
All for anyone having a good time also mate but when away with the club it sits uncomfortably with me. Just can't help cringing when pictures go about like that. Has either been pulled to one side about conduct that you are aware? On another note if only there was a way to have a carbon copy of a teenage Robbie in our youth ranks!

{Ed001's Note - not that I am aware of, but who is going to pull Ayre over? As for Robbie, he was there with the chief exec, so he can hardly be held responsible, so it would have to be Ayre giving the dressing down.}

2.) 11 Feb 2016 12:14:09
Very good point. And a worrying one at that! Complete Tangent but has John Barnes been considered for a role at the club? can't help but thinking he would be able to offer a lot hearing the man speak about the club and issues surrounding it.

{Ed001's Note - hmmmm while John Barnes can seem articulate and erudite, he is not exactly a role model either. Not sure he would be any better than those others. One of the best players I have ever seen, with more talent than any player ever to pull on our shirt, but he lacked the application and bravery to go with it. He could do things even Suarez would have just stared at open mouthed wondering how the hell he did that, but he lacked the work ethic to really make the most of his talents. He was the same as a manager, I doubt he would be any different working for the club.}

3.) 11 Feb 2016 12:31:34
Mesmerising watching him at times from what I have seen I agree. Very interesting insight as to how you think he would work at the club cheers mate. If there is anyone you would have working at the club in some capacity who would it be? If there is anyone you have that opinion on of course.

Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - Clemence. He is one we should bring back to the club in my opinion.}

4.) 11 Feb 2016 12:39:05
Very good choice i'd say ED01! Cheers for your time mate keep up the good work. YNWA.

{Ed001's Note - he always represents the club very well in interviews etc so it would be good to have him back. You are very welcome mate.}

5.) 11 Feb 2016 13:32:24
I'd walk over hot coals to get Ray back my obsolute hero.

Hi Ed 1 / 2 if you are about. Is it possible that Grujic will stay with us for the rest of the season as the title is wrapped up for Belgrade?

Cheers.

Pkbcn

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea what the plan is with him. Sorry.}

1.) 05 Jan 2016 14:07:32
No problem. Cheers mate.

{Ed002's Note - As I have explained on many occasions, the plan is that he returns to Red Star - it is nothing to do with how they are doing in the league.}

I asked this yesterday mate but it didn't get posted. I honestly think he will go back on loan for rest of season. that's been said all along so don't see why it would of changed. Echo saying he will go back also.

Hi Eds,

Hearing Rossiter is now injured after playing 3 games in 5days on international duty. Is this true that he played 3 games within season in such a short period of time? Any info would be greatly appreciated before people start losing their minds and signing petitions for reds players not to play for England etc.

Pkbcn

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have not made any formal statement at this time - once they do it will be clearer how long it will take for his return. Ings was injured in training at Liverpool so it would be inappropriate to blame England for that.}

1.) 16 Oct 2015 13:11:52
I'm pretty sure ED01 was saying how modern day footballers should be able to play 3 games in a week and all that jazz last season. Working wonders for us at the moment that.

{Ed001's Note - they should be able to, but the training is poor at Liverpool and even worse with the England sides.}

2.) 16 Oct 2015 13:42:26
Cheers Ed2. I know Ings was injured with LFC was referring to Gomez injury with the international setup and the fact that reds everywhere sadly these days go over the top whether there is good or bad news ("The normal one" tshirts being the most embarrasing before a ball is kicked! )

3.) 16 Oct 2015 14:27:35
ED001, you mention that Liverpool's training is poor, do you know if Klopp will change this making training more intense ultimately making our players fitter and stronger? I used to be in the armed forces and a lot of soldiers were at a athletes fitness level so footballers should be at that level if not higher. Baz

{Ed001's Note - he already has mate. They will be training much harder under Klopp than they were, they need to or they will not be able to play with the intensity he requires.}

4.) 16 Oct 2015 20:34:22
So they`d better get cracking, then because Klopp is no slouch.

15 Oct 2015 14:55:09
Ings out for the season. ACL. Awful for the lad was our brightest player so far was looking forward to seeing him under Klopp. Question to Ed1 if you are about. If the choice was yours would you look at promoting youth for a chance to impress up front (Maybe Sinclair although I know he refused a contract)

Pkbcn

{Ed002's Note - There is more than enough cover with Sturridge, Benteke and Origi in the first instance.}

1.) 15 Oct 2015 15:16:46
Thanks Ed2 for the reply. Hopefully it will give Origi a chance to gain some confidence in front of goal! Gutted for Ings and Gomez. Both would have improved massively over the season I feel. Given they were utilized in the correct position

{Ed002's Note - It is indeed a great pity.}

2.) 15 Oct 2015 15:29:59
I agree in principle Ed002 but both Benteke and Sturridge are relatively injury prone and there is a high possibility of them both being injured at the same time. Let's hope Origi can step up to the plate when this happens. However I don't think we should or will purchase anyone else as cover. It is a slight concern I though. Excuse my ignorance but other than Sinclair what strikers do we have in the under 18/reserves?

3.) 15 Oct 2015 17:22:33
I'd say all of

Origi. Firmino. Or even Ibe could play up front if we had both Sturridge and Benteke injured. The options are there in my opinion.

I'm sure it wouldn't happen if it was not in the best interests of the club and our new manager. I'm sure the main thing for him is keeping fitness for his new club.

What if he just needs a club to train with to keep his fitness up lads? And speak about a future role with the club? He should be welcomed to train and speak about whatever he likes with open arms.
