Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund now in for Salad, aswell as Zenit. Dragging our heels as usual. Oh well sure we can get a youngster in on loan to help the push for top 4. FSG penny pinching.

Word on the net is Suarez contract has clause in it allowing him to leave only over sea's if the price is met from next summer. So not as good as we were hoping, just hope its a shed load of cash and they don't meet it.

I think if we get CL this year we will then really see how deep FSG's pockets are. Tbh I have my doubts sometimes that is well documented on here but generally i'm happy with how things are going. It wouldn't make sense to spend loads now then miss out on CL as it could do more harm than good.
The real test will come if we do qualify as we will need 2-3 real quality players to compete.
Looking forward to our home game at villa on sat night :)

Ed's - I know its been said there are no fixed budgets, and they will asses a transfer at the time but if we didn't spend this window would that mean more money for the summer?

Its wasnt difficult 4 years ago before the WC.
You watch the other top teams, they won't struggle to make changes.
Truth of it is, our ambitions are too big for our budget, BR is given a shoe string budget and told to get top 4.

I really do try to be optimistic but the problem is I've been optimistic for too long and now realize its all in vain.

I have every faith in FSG and BR but Rodgers had made further comments now about no transfers available at this time and we will see what happens. Everyone else seams to be getting closer and yet everything has gone very quiet with us.
On another note, someone posted yesterday about BR's security being ''high'' yesterday. Ed's?
