Hi Eds, as usual we are linked with every player under the sun that we actualy cannot afford in any case.

Question. we already have origi coming and with ings being another likely player (I think he would be a great fit for the team) we will have to make space for them so who do you think will leave. .

Mario, Lambert and Borini cannot get a game even when Dan isn't fit so will they all be sold. If so where will the money get spent do you think?

No101

{Ed002's Note - Well the club would like to sell Balotelli and he will go if the club can be realistic about price and a couple of other matters. Borini and Lambert are keen to get the chance to prove themselves but, realistically, things won't change going forward. I would expect Borini to find a suitable solution in Italy but cost could prove an issue - a loan to buy may be something Liverpool would be cool with. Lambert's had the chance and chose to stay - he may well do again this summer. Aspas will leave for what I would expect to be a small fee. Youngsters will need to be looked at and a plan formulated. Much will depend on whether or not Liverpool can get in to the Champions League.}

1.) 07 Mar 2015 10:09:13
Is it possible aspas could be used in a swap plus cash deal for vietto?

{Ed002's Note - I wouldn't think so.}

Well loads of you go what you wanted with BR going.

Read some appalling stuff from many aimed at BR, personal and nasty. No need for that.

I personally think he was a genuinely good bloke trying his level best for our club. He got things wrong as any other manager would.

Under FSG why he wasn't moved in the summer is just ridiculous. .

We are not a top club any more and haven't been for years. We cannot afford or attract world class players anymore.

We will now go through yet another rebuild for 3 years and be in the same position yet again.

I disagree 101.
If a manager like rafa or ancelotti had had about 300m to spend over 3 seasons, they would not have left us with a squad performing as we are now.
If we appoint an intelligent and talented manager, I think we can come out of the next rebuild stronger than we are now.
We need someone who can out-think, out-motivate and out-perform the big budget teams, like simeone or klopp.
Once we are in the CL more regularly, the big players will start to see us as an option again, and so we can build a squad on success.
But we need the initial successes to build properly, and br can't give us those.

2.) 04 Oct 2015 22:45:46
The only bit I can agree with there is why wasn't he moved on in the summer.

3.) 04 Oct 2015 22:59:13
101, your right and I am not sure why people disagreeing with you

I'm glad sterling has moved on but when a club can £50m for potential it's ridiculous. Then you have the fact they will give him £200k a week, it's madness.

How can we ever expect our club to compete, we have become a selling club without wanting to be. The clubs above us can offer more wages, more transfer fees and regular CL football. We are always playing catchup, when we have a good season and flirt with CL football richer clubs come in and buy our better players. One step forward two back. If we have a good season we lose the players who got us their.

Our support around the world is clearly starting to seep away. We no longer have any famous standout stars in our side as we cannot attract them. It must be a worry for FSG thinking how they can get a return on their money when they keep trying to invest into the squad only to be blown out of the water by others.

This is not a moan or rant but it's going to be difficult for us to break into the CL on a regular basis. The reality is if we find the next Suarez he will just get bought by a bigger club.

I'm not sure. I think any club in the world would have been willing to sell Pound for 50 million.

Our club won't be defined by the players we sell.

Good result last night after our 2 losses. Always going to be a difficult game.

I know it won't please everyone but we have a chance for a trophy :-)

BR out brigade won't like it as were not top of the league/still in the CL. even though we haven't done that for over 20 years lol lol. a new manager will of course rectify that as it solves all problems.

1.) 09 Apr 2015 07:43:25
why was it always going to be a difficult game? the players should be chomping at the bit to get out there and put right what has been undone in the last couple of weeks and book themselves a place in the semi,s,and boy did they make hard work of it,against an average championship squad, liverpool won't get past villa playing like that

2.) 09 Apr 2015 08:15:30
Ridiculous post. Limped to victory at the second time of asking against a team not even challenging to enter our league, which makes the view that BR's league performance hasn't been good enough 2/3 years laughable? And because people have given up on BR they won't be happy Liverpool are in a trophy semi-final? Why don't you climb off your high horse and come back down to where everyone else is talking, you might hear them better

3.) 09 Apr 2015 08:25:19
Is that you Brendan?! Any chance you can stop LOLing and do some work please because I'm struggling to see exactly how we've progressed over your past three seasons in charge. ? It's easy to brand all reds supporters as somewhat delusional but I don't think expecting to compete after the time & money you've been afforded is asking too much.

4.) 09 Apr 2015 10:21:20
It was always going to be a difficult game because it's the FA Cup - away from home!

{Ed001's Note - against a struggling team from a lower league.....}

5.) 09 Apr 2015 12:44:46
. but we won, and we progress Ed 1.

You only have to look at Bradford and Middlesbrough to realise it was a good result.

{Ed001's Note - not sure it was a good result, 3-0 or 4-0 against a team that poor is a good result, 1-0 is just the minimum expected.}

6.) 09 Apr 2015 14:59:54
The team is lacking confidence and it showed. It was not a good result based on the perf but a much-needed result.

04 Apr 2015 19:29:54
the only frustrating thing for BR on my part is why did we waste £16m on Mario, £25m on Louvern and both cannot get a game. I know BR said that Mario said he was injured but he wouldn't have started anyway.

Is BR basically showing he has no faith in either by picking others so gave wasted £41m.

They are transfer errors we just cannot afford especially when we won't qualify to the CL now.

It will be difficult against Blackburn now and his selection will be interesting with all the suspensions.

No101

1.) 04 Apr 2015 20:20:18
What about the £25mill+£12mill wasted on Lallana and Moreno respectively

2.) 04 Apr 2015 20:21:23
I wouldn't say its the only frustrating thing for Brentano, there are loads.£25m defender not good enough over a 34 year old who is dodge at best?lovren should have played and much as I don't like him even johno would have been better at right wing back over Hendon who should have been I middle.Allen looks lost against good oppo far to much and Moreno defending has been getting worse and worse, again johno would have been better bet today and if fit enough flano,we need the kid back sharpies to get stuck in.Brentans on borrowed time, will the fa cup be enough salvation even if we win it?

3.) 04 Apr 2015 20:36:17
Your right. But Not only that though, Markovic ? What he got that our youngsters in the ranks haven't already got?
Moreno ? Do scouts not see that he can't defend before we sign these defenders
Lambert? Seriously
Lallana ? Doesn't even have youth as an excuse

4.) 04 Apr 2015 21:13:54
It is pretty bad our youth players look better than most our singings suso Ibe is rather see them playing than lallana & markovic. Lovren but sell agger? Suarez balotelli? It's a joke

5.) 05 Apr 2015 02:33:46
I think it is harsh to say Lallana, Marko, and moreno have been bad. Lallana has played some excellent games but has had three injuries. Markovic played well and so has Moreno. The quality is there , the tactics are not.

6.) 05 Apr 2015 08:29:35
Markovic had a run of games on the right he looked class, then he switched him to left wingback not so good, drops for six weeks. I believe he will come good under a manager who let's him play.

02 Apr 2015 07:18:13
Sell Sterling IMO

Yes he's s great player but he's to big for his boots.

Sell him in the summer for as much as we can and Ibe can take him place (he looks a better player in any case).

He can then go to a club who can afford him where he will sit on the bench but win trophies as he wants.

I agree, not once in the interview did he mention any love for Liverpool or the fans, even suarez managed that. Boot the little baby out for 50mil and go buy a striker

2.) 02 Apr 2015 12:06:15
Been saying this since the whole thing started the lad needs a good shake. Who the hell does he think he is.

Eds. surely it's the manager FSG thinks fits our club? They appoint the managers or is it Ayre?

My opinion is still clear and I rate BR to keep improving us. Maybe that's my age and I'm more calm than others not needing to have a knee jerk reaction. Most from the outside see BR as a very good manger yet many LFC fans think different as we haven't won the league.

I was gutted yesterday like the rest but AV played well and our players froze in the headlights. I'm not sure BR can be fully blamed for that.

Until we sign quality players it doesn't matter who manges us IMO, we won't compete with the teams above under FFP as we are financially far behind them all.

IMO we shouldn't waste money on buying loads of players and should promote from the youth ranks, we do need another forward once the current 3 (not DS) leave and we need a quality goal keeper to push Migs. Emre can go into MF to replace Gerard.

I know many will disagree with me and think changing the manager will change everything but look at recent history and this is not the case.

Football is a competitive arena these days.

Were 5th in the league behind the top 4 richest clubs in the prem, we most probably over achieved last season.

We have completely new team nearly, we went on an amazing run to get back in contention. If we would have had a fit DS at the start we would have been in contention. BR has shown IMO he has the tactical awareness. Mistakes cost us the game this week at the back, not the manager, how can he stop kolo from giving the ball away?? How can it be his fault SG got sent off against Man U? Player error has cost us. The game these days is about fine margins.

We have a very young side and it will only get better why change that now by starting all over again with a new manger, it will be just the same whoever is in charge unless we had the billions the other teams above us have.

If we have the same next season under BR I will start to criticise him and call for a change.

Still know one has given a realistic manager option.

Who would you have manage us then?

Many call for BR's head but never give a realsitic replacement.

I back BR as our manager.

Yep it's all BR's fault, blame him for everything that's the answer, last year he was just lucky and fudged his way to second which is an awful show as we should have won the league.all his fault we lost Suarez as well no doubt as we haven't missed him or Daniel at all.

It's fans who after 1 solitary defeat jump on a teams back, yes we started bad but we were missing 2 of our most important players from last season with a host of new ones came in. We did spend lots, would you rather FSG pocket it. would you have been happy wasting it an di Maria??? Our buys are starting to come good!!!!!! No doubt you were moaning about tjose as well.

The answer is to just sack the manager and start all over again, yep well said because that always works doesn't it, they are lining up to manage us, I heard Pep just can't wait to leave Munich so he can come to us with all our riches. lol lol

Every fan is allowed an opinion and mine is as I said, yours is different. If you want to rebuild every 5 minutes fine, not sure how you expect FSG to fund dreams under FFP but hey I'm the one who needs to get real and expect us to win the league because we spent some money. as we all know who ever spends the most wins the league so man U are odds on then for this season despite Chelsea running away with it!!!!

Allen is to light weight to play in a good side. I'm struggle to see what Allens role is with the side as he isn't great defensively or attacking wise. He's been at the club long enough (despite injuries) but has shown no improvement when playing for us. I cannot remember a single game he's won for us.
