Can we please have an updated ins and outs list like you have done for the other pages thanks a lot!

Appreciated Eds!

Moocow1990

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware that anything has changed from what has been said - the only obvious difference is Klipperty insisting that Caoimhin Kelleher will not be sold, which to me is very surprising. You can also likely scratch Luka Sucic, Mason Mount and Jude Bellingham.}

1.) 05 Jun 2023 20:49:56
Apparently the sticking point with Mac alister is his release clause I don’t know how true this?

2.) 05 Jun 2023 21:21:20
Glad Kelleher is staying but I hope he has been promised proper game time in the cups.

{Ed002's Note - That is not what he wants.}

3.) 05 Jun 2023 21:47:00
I don't think he'll get what he really wants with us sadly, so can only see a move away.

4.) 05 Jun 2023 23:09:08
Without knowing anything about the circumstances or discussions that have taken place between the club and the player and his representatives, my natural reaction is to feel sorry for Kelleher. Blind Joe can see that Ali is the number 1 for as long as he wants to stay at the club. Thwarting his ambitions to realise his full potential seems a poor decision by the club. Coupled with Adrian’s new contract it also sends the wrong sort of message (as I say, to my uninformed point of view) to lads like Pitulaga and Davies.

5.) 05 Jun 2023 21:53:15
Hi Ed has Sucic joining another club?

{Ed002's Note - There are discussions but Liverpool interest has gone.}

6.) 05 Jun 2023 21:47:00
I don't think he'll get what he really wants with us sadly, so can only see a move away.

{Ed002's Note - Klopp intends to block any move. Or is it simply another lie?}

7.) 05 Jun 2023 21:53:15
Hi Ed has Sucic joining another club?

{Ed002's Note - There are ongoing talks but it is nothing to do with Liverpool.}

8.) 06 Jun 2023 01:20:58
Jurgen Klopp is the manager of Liverpool and as such is responsible for the results on the pitch.

Imagine the furore if he allowed Kelleher to leave and Ali does an ACL in September and we are left with Adrian until at least January.

Not letting Kelleher leave is absolutely the right thing to do until we have an adequate replacement. Adrian’s new contract has nothing to do with it he’s experience in the dressing room which we need to have.

But hey let’s not let the truth get in the way of a good Klopp bashing eh?

9.) 06 Jun 2023 02:27:16
I don't see the issue with Kelleher. If Alisson gets injured we need a good back-up keeper, not an unproven youth. Kelleher signed a contract knowing that Alisson is the main man. He understood the situation when he signed that game time would be limited and he is being paid regularly.

10.) 06 Jun 2023 06:19:52
Klopp said (post Southampton game) . it would take an exceptional offer to sell kelleher, he is not planning to say goodbye 'just in case' . that doesn't mean he won't be sold or Klopp is lying. What they class as the right offer is anyone's guess, but North of 15m would have to be considered. but he wouldn't be the first to not move on when he should have and get minimal game time.

11.) 06 Jun 2023 06:33:25
Well I’m going to go against the tide here.
If Kelleher wants to leave then let him go. He’s a backup keeper, he’s not a critical player in the squad.

Haven’t we got some young lad who is meant to be a worldie? Let him be backup.

12.) 06 Jun 2023 07:16:23
I think klopps only saying that about kelleher to get the maximum fee possible.

13.) 06 Jun 2023 07:31:27
So many good posts on this. He is under contract that he chose to sign. We need a top class back up to Ali in case of injury. We have tons of games in Europa League etc this season. I’m sure he is well paid. If we keep him then I’d say great business and great job from Klopp.

14.) 06 Jun 2023 08:08:31
If we get a good offer he is off, no doubt, when it comes to someone signing the club will need to sell, we always do and he has some value, Klopp saying that just adds an extra couple mill on the price.

15.) 06 Jun 2023 07:57:16
Agree with digger, Klopps just playing the game. How dare he"lie"to help get us a better price.

16.) 06 Jun 2023 09:34:08
Maybe he's going to play him in the europa next season as well as the cups.

17.) 06 Jun 2023 12:49:26
Hope he stays, brilliant keeper. But if he goes there HAS to be a buy back option. We don't know how long alli wants to stay here and normally picks up atleast 1 injury a season and to have kell as backup is much needed for me.

18.) 06 Jun 2023 16:19:09
I don't want to see the kid's career stall out or accumulate some lost years on a bench, but I do agree that LFC need to identify and work towards finding a proper replacement before letting Kelleher move on. Kelleher's homegrown status complicates his situation further, as LFC are short on HG status players already.

26 May 2023 15:45:37
Quick question regarding the transfer window, my understanding is a player can't sign until the transfer window opens in June which is obvious. However when sources like Fabrizio Romano are claiming that deals like Jude Bellingham and Macallister are close to being agreed. How can that be possible so far before the transfer window opens. Can clubs make a pre contract or something?

Moocow1990

{Ed002's Note - Clubs can reach agreement over future transfers at any time, such as Nkunku, but they cannot re registered until the transfer window is open. So it is not a pre-contract.}

24 Aug 2020 11:25:15
Hi Eds love following your page.

Can we gave an updated ins and ours list like you have done for the other pages thanks a lot!

Moocow1990

{Ed002's Note - Sure but it won't be until later in the week.}

1.) 26 Aug 2020 01:32:50
This week we will start seeing more clues to transfer plans I think. All clubs now getting into heavy prepping for season ahead, some recent activity giving us info on what type of player clubs need. Harry Wilson might see interest develop this week and possibly thiago now finished his season we could make our move. Keita and Brewster looking very much in klopps plans. Injury to OX and gini contract situations might give us more clarity in the near future.

04 Apr 2019 13:40:36
Afternoon Eds. Hope you are all well x

I see the Fekir rumours have taken over clickbaiters and twitter yet again!

Just curoous if anythings changed or if its recycled garbage. Thanks.

Moocow1990

{Ed002's Note - I would need to check on Twitter but suspect it is no more than conjecture given he will be available this summer.}

1.) 04 Apr 2019 17:04:34
No way we go back in for him and Lyon won’t want to de with us the way we messed about last time.

2.) 04 Apr 2019 18:45:01
We spotted a problem with the medical, messed no one around.

{Ed001's Note - we did mess them around though, after agreeing a fee then trying to renegotiate. Should have just pulled out when the problem was spotted, very quietly to leave them to sort out something else for him.}

3.) 04 Apr 2019 20:48:21
At that stage the player wanted to join though and obviously we wanted such a good player so tried to find a solution. funny how its poor Lyon. what about the team they get to hand over £50m plus knowing full well the player they're sellings knee is not 100%.

4.) 05 Apr 2019 10:02:38
How has Fekir got on this season. Has he knee been ok. Anyone know?

{Ed002's Note - His knee is fine and has generally been so since 15/16 with a niggling issue the season after. His only injury this season was after being caught with a kick - but it was listed as bruising only. He will be moving in the summer.}

04 Jun 2023 21:14:32
I messaged earlier in the week, and i've been scrolling on every day waiting for the long list of ins and outs, im like a kid at christmas :')

Moocow1990

1.) 04 Jun 2023 22:00:59
Out so far: Millie, Ox, Naby, Bobby, Arthur

Probably out: Kelleher, Carvalho, Phillips, Williams

Possibly out: Matip, Gomez, Tsimikas, Thiago, Fabinho, Hendo, Jota

Probably staying (although you never can tell) : Ali, Ibou, VVD, Robbo, Trent, Baj, Elliot, Diaz, Gakpo, Nunez, Salah

In: we have decided not to buy anybody but will make a loan signing on the last day of the window for a player who won’t actually play for us at all.

2.) 04 Jun 2023 23:32:47
Think of the possibly outs only Matip and Tsimikas leave. Jota wouldn't surprise me nor Gomez. Good offers and all that.

3.) 05 Jun 2023 09:54:22
Salah will be gone this summer.

4.) 05 Jun 2023 11:51:30
@Redflyer, possibly was the key word.

07 Jan 2020 10:22:49
Eds which former player from the entire history of the club do you think would excel the most in our current team and why.

Moocow1990

{Ed001's Note - Barnes. He would run riot in today's game without anyone hacking him down.}

1.) 07 Jan 2020 12:12:11
If he could keep his weight in check of course, but I agree with you, he'd be frightening.

{Ed001's Note - with the training regimes of now? He would have been unstoppable.}

2.) 07 Jan 2020 12:53:16
I reckon a young Ian rush would score for fun too.

3.) 07 Jan 2020 13:13:00
I’ve thought about this before and I agree with IAC. Ian Rush would be Bobby Firmino but 40 goals a season. Trent and Robbo just chucking crosses into him all day he’d break his own record.

4.) 07 Jan 2020 13:22:24
Barnes would be my pick as well. He would run riot in klopps system.

5.) 07 Jan 2020 13:24:44
I like ED001's response as Barnes is my all time favourite LFC player. I too would have said that the same. ED001, would love to see your player profile on Barnesy. please, please. ;-)

{Ed001's Note - it is on the list mate.}

6.) 07 Jan 2020 13:28:55
What about Torres ed? 4-2-3-1 with Firmino behind him and Mane and Salah on the wings. Alonso too on the role Fabinho plays. Those are my two picks, but there is a huge difference that I follow the club from 2005/ 2006 or something like that.

{Ed001's Note - I will ask Nando next week if I can as he is out here with Luis Garcia. But not for me, he would get in the way of Salah and Mane.}

7.) 07 Jan 2020 14:09:07
Barnes is the reason i started watching football! would love him in the team. was always a big fan of Beardsley too.

8.) 07 Jan 2020 14:15:38
Agree Ed - Torres is a true 9 and would take up the space that Mane and Salah feed off. Brilliant player in his prime though.

9.) 07 Jan 2020 14:59:55
I think Steven Gerrard gets in our team ahead of either Wijnaldum or Henderson while keeping Fabinho at 6. Gerrard would have been even better in this team having great players all around him and would have added the one thing this side lacks: goals from midfield! Klopp would have kept his ego in check too!

10.) 07 Jan 2020 17:55:11
Barnes was the first the name I thought of too. He was way ahead of his time, prolific goal scoring winger with all the pace and technique you could imagine. I’d have him in ahead of Salah, as hard as that might be for some of the younger fans to imagine.

11.) 07 Jan 2020 18:05:49
Ex. Do you think Sir Kenny Dalglish would of worked with Klopp’s style of play.

{Ed001's Note - oooo good thinking, Dalglish would have been perfect for the Firmino role! He could play in any style, imo, Dalglish. Such a clever player.}

12.) 07 Jan 2020 19:43:29
Kenny, all day long.
Better than de Bruyne and scored, ore goals.

13.) 07 Jan 2020 19:50:30
Kloppboom, not sure Gerrard would have the legs to do all the stuff our midfield three do cos they are much more athletic than SG was, IMO.

As for Barnes, that'a good shout cos he was amazing and would not be too shabby in today's team cos well, he was just that good.

14.) 07 Jan 2020 21:17:10
Kenny all day. The game has changed and rush is a holding cf, big man, we use pace. Low crosses. I think he'd be in our team but wouldn't be my first choice.

Steve mcmanaman as a lf
And stevie g is a good shout.

15.) 07 Jan 2020 21:17:39
Barnes of course l. Where would you play him ed01? Cm or up front?

{Ed001's Note - up front, he could play any of those front 3 roles or in midfield and make it look easy at his peak. His left peg was magical.}

16.) 07 Jan 2020 21:21:41
I don't post often so here goes. how about souness alonso, in midfield? Nicol, warnock Hansen, hughes in defence, we've had more then just great forward players.
Just saying.

{Ed001's Note - Warnock?}

17.) 07 Jan 2020 21:57:16
Robbiesline, remember McManaman’s goal away at Celtic? Messianic!

18.) 07 Jan 2020 23:55:33
Great question Moocow1990.

19.) 08 Jan 2020 00:35:49
Gerrard did have quality around him. Remember Xabi and masch?

20.) 08 Jan 2020 05:36:59
Yeah, amazing goal. He was who I always pretended to be down the park, him and rush.

21.) 08 Jan 2020 07:16:06
I reckon Dirk kyuth would have scored for fun as well.

22.) 08 Jan 2020 08:16:35
Lol I was exactly the same with the warnock post. Mind you we have been starved of a decent lb got a long long time. I guess warnock being mentioned shows that.

{Ed025's Note - warnock was world class.. :)

23.) 08 Jan 2020 22:37:25
For everyone in full blown nostalgia mode lol x.

07 Jan 2020 10:22:04
Eds if you could swap out a starter for any other player that is reasonably attainable financially who would it be and why?

Moocow1990

{Ed001's Note - honestly I can't think of anyone.}

1.) 07 Jan 2020 13:03:03
I cannot think of a single player i would choose to have shipped out BUT if you were really twisting my arm and were asking me to make one change, being liberal with finances, i’d say Mbappe for Salah or Saul Niguez for Wijnaldum.

2.) 07 Jan 2020 21:35:54
Gini stays. The guy destroyed Barcelona and Messi in ten minutes. Absolute Liverpool legend. When you feel gini has been quiet, chances are he's had a good game. Always a threat as well as being a solid cm

There a a lot of players out there capable of playing for Liverpool. The thing is our current crop have done what no other Liverpool team has done and that is getting, what was it 92 points? So why change it. There are thousands of massive signings that just haven't worked throughout football. Klopp van take a 7mil player and make him world class. Robbo and trent are world class.

{Ed025's Note - come on robbie...world class??...really??....i will be sending you a stamp as well.. :)

3.) 07 Jan 2020 23:46:53
Name better full backs in world football Ed? Maybe alba on the left but other than that Trent and robbo are the best on the planet playing for the best team on the planet which makes them world class imo.

{Ed025's Note - to be world class you have to be at the top of your game for a lengthy period imo lerchy, hell i have got shoes that are older than trent ffs, very good players yes but to deem them world class is very premature mate..

4.) 08 Jan 2020 03:17:14
Our whole team is world class mate including our kids! we just won the European cup, finishing runners up the season before a well as destroying the premier league which we would have won last season if it wasn’t for Man City’s ridiculous run at the end. I’m sorry mate but I can’t see you’re reasoning.

I’ve heard you’ve shoes older than ed02 too!

{Ed025's Note - no lerchy, but ED002 certainly is world class because he has been at the top of his game for quite a number of years, the thing with liverpool fans is they crave success so much that everyone who plays for them is deemed a god, jones had a decent game on sunday and scored a very good goal..i suppose he is world class now lerchy?....the term "world class" is bandied about too often mate i know its subjective but heres where i stand...ronaldo and messi are world class...pele was and so was cruyff, maradona and possibly van basten....thats it..

5.) 08 Jan 2020 05:55:05
Come on ed025, There is absolutely no doubt that trent is world class. I could understand you doubting robbo coz his delivery isn't quite up to taa's amazingly high standard. But it's still better than any left back in the league. Look at the assist stats for trent. Over 2 yrs he tops the list. Ahead of kdb and other wc players in the prem. He HAS sustained it.
And I can't think of a lb better than robbo. There's a reason we sing his name more than anyone else (and it's not just coz it has a ring to it) yeah alba is excellent but a wc squad needs 2 in each position. So they'd need alba too.
You're alright ed025, but I bet that stung getting smashed by our reserves. And it must be hard seeing the reds flying high, dominating World football while the mighty Everton are in a relegation battle. And one they could very well lose. I hope you don't though mate. But you have to give credit where its due. For 2 years robbo and trent have changed modern football (Well klopp has) they are the weapons klopp has gone for and they are absolutely devastating. While trent may have the better delivery, robbo's interplay, with mane especially, is as good as I've seen in a lb.

{Ed025's Note - you have just answered your own question robbie...2 years...2 bloody years!!!, god forbid but he could get a long term injury and never be heard of again so i dont think your case holds any water mate, im sending you a stamp as well.. :)

6.) 08 Jan 2020 22:41:23
My vote was Chiesa for Salah as he wants out anyway.

Midfield I'd get Maddison in for Gini

The only other changes would be to the bench i don't feel like Lallana and shaqiri offer much from the bench and I'd either put some youth players in or buy one or 2 along the lines of Minamino who are emerging talents and young enough to develop.

28 May 2019 23:32:13
Eds01 Call it KopCast :)

Moocow1990

{Ed001's Note - it is not going to be a Liverpool podcast only mate. It is intended to be general football. That first one was literally just a test and us two just chatting about footie.}

1.) 29 May 2019 10:26:59
Call it the Ed001TION. You're welcome.

{Ed001's Note - that is the best one yet. Admittedly it is the only idea so far, but it is the best of one.}

2.) 29 May 2019 11:07:19
Is it always going to be you and Salah ed? If so, i vote for Tris-Salah-Talks, because it sounds like triceratops. It sounded better in my head.

{Ed001's Note - when I was in primary school, the triceratops was my favourite dinosaur, but even that couldn't save this one! ;-)

04 Apr 2019 13:41:25
Just wanted to ask the Eds if you could drop an ex liverpool player into the current side. who would you pick and why?

Moocow1990

{Ed001's Note - Souness. He would dominate every midfield.}

1.) 04 Apr 2019 13:51:41
Great question Moocow.

Steven Gerrard is the greatest player I have seen play for Liverpool and him at his peak in this midfield would be fantastic.

I can't help but think what the likes of Dalglish and Rush could do in this team. would be fantastic. I don't see where they'd fit in however.

Stevie G edges it for me.

2.) 04 Apr 2019 13:55:16
Dalglish. He was something special but there's many names we could say, it's one of them this one mate :) .

3.) 04 Apr 2019 14:07:16
Alan Hansen. Imagine him and Van Dyke in defence. The opposition would cry.

4.) 04 Apr 2019 14:29:45
Djimi Traore. Imagine being that bad and winning the Champions League AND the Premier League.

5.) 04 Apr 2019 14:35:11
Defo Souness.

6.) 04 Apr 2019 15:31:55
For me I'd pick Steve Nicol because I think we could do with a world class right back and then push Trent forward to be the creative midfielder.

7.) 04 Apr 2019 16:30:10
It has to be the king although god would be great spearheading our attack. Gerrard would be amazing, souness of course. Hypia and van dijke would be unreal.

8.) 04 Apr 2019 16:33:30
For some reason I don't remember much of Nicol as a player. Don't know why. But his punditry leaves a lot to be desired, to put it mildly.

9.) 04 Apr 2019 16:33:45
I’m of an age that I was fortunate enough to have witnessed the glory days of Dalglish, Rush, Souness, Hansen and all (and not really appreciated just how good it was being a Liverpool fan) . Souness is a great call but I’ll go with John Barnes (just to mix it up a bit) . A bit later and just as our dominance was coming to an end, but he was some player for us in his prime.

10.) 04 Apr 2019 16:52:44
I was fan since 2003. So for me Gerrard. Gerrard feeding front 3 would be grt.

{Ed025's Note - dalglish for me stg, not only a great footballer but a really nice human being as well, which is more than can be said for that miserable sod and neer do well gerrard mate..

11.) 04 Apr 2019 16:58:55
Tempted to go for Souness or Hansen, but I think Fowler would be my pick. The other two would slot in easier, but I feel like our finishing hasn't always been there this season.

Great question Moocow1990.

12.) 04 Apr 2019 17:09:34
Prime Xabi Alonso for me.

Imagine our front 3 feeding off Alonso passes all season. All the while he just bosses the midfield!

Im too young for Souness and Dalglish.

13.) 04 Apr 2019 18:26:04
Great question I thought souness was a great shout but red cards not so sure, so Xabi for me too.

14.) 04 Apr 2019 18:40:37
In this team. Ian Rush. The original Firmino chasing defenders down etc, but 10x the goal threat.

15.) 04 Apr 2019 18:57:20
Like LiverpooFC8, Ian Rush for me.

16.) 04 Apr 2019 19:11:19
Gerrard all the way. great man!

{Ed025's Note - great player naby...but a snivelling weasel of a man im afraid mate..

17.) 04 Apr 2019 20:04:03
Great question mate and definitely john Barnes imagine John barnes flying down those wings in this team.

18.) 04 Apr 2019 20:23:06
Dalglish, wasn’t born to see him place but had it drummed in my whole life from my family that he was the best player to ever wear the shirt and one of the all time best along with George best.

19.) 04 Apr 2019 20:25:55
In terms of who would have the most impact on our side I think Souness. Dalglish is rightly considered our best player (and is an awesome human being) but Souness would impact us more since our front 3 are pretty good anyway and Souness would be a massive upgrade on our midfield (plus bring with him a winning mentality) . I don't think red cards would be such an issue since Souness' aggression was usually calculated.

20.) 04 Apr 2019 20:26:39
Roger Hunt in his prime was devastating, it was Ian Rush that broke his goal scoring record (286 goals ) he still holds the record for league goals scored I do believe.

Great servant to the club, 11 years.

21.) 04 Apr 2019 21:38:26
Gerrard - our front three is fantastic, our defense is solid (although Hansen alongside VVD is a good shout) and I trust Fabinho, Hendo and Gini to hold control of midfield together, however Gerrard would add the missing element to really take this team to the very top. His ability to drive forward and provide goals from midfield is currently the missing piece of the puzzle, and he’s the one that always came up with the crucial goals in the biggest matches.

22.) 04 Apr 2019 22:03:01
Why ed025?any ex player or employee of the club i've seen talking about Stevie over the years have always stressed how much he loved to club and how dedicated he was to it. genuinely interested.

{Ed025's Note - he was a very good player naby of that there is no doubt, he carried that liverpool team for years and is right up there with the best the prem has ever seen, horrible little scroat of a person though mate..

23.) 05 Apr 2019 09:57:13
Devon red, john barnes is a brilliant shout. I think he would slip into our system absolutely no probs. Good shout bruv.

24.) 05 Apr 2019 10:03:24
Ian Rush for me too 👍.

25.) 05 Apr 2019 10:16:57
Dunno why mk scoucer got so many thumbs down. Steve nicol was a brilliant right back. Sometimes teams target our right side. Probably more to do with matip than trent but they wouldn't be so keen to target the right with nicol there.

Good shput mk. I picked:
1 the king
2 god
3 gerrard
4 souness
5 hypia.

26.) 05 Apr 2019 11:42:04
Any past player to be put into the current team would be Alonso easily as that's the type of player missing.

Obviously there's a whole list of players we would love to see back in the team but if we see in terms of what this team needs then it has to be Xabi Alonso.

Ok Ed, that's your opinion which your entitled to and must have a reason for. But you still havn't given any reasons as to why and you seem to be in a large minority concerning your opinion of him. Thanks though.

{Ed025's Note - i dont want to go into specific incidents naby as it would make me seem bitter mate, which im really not..

I haven't seen King in flesh Ed025. Whenever Ed001 talks about him, he literally show his man live for him. It shows how much he was as a player and person.

{Ed025's Note - then you missed out big time stg, fantastic player and the work him and his wife marina have done for the hillsborough families as well as other charities has been phenomenal mate...total respect for the guy..
