Matip out for the season according to ssn. I know he's not everyone cup of tea but it's a blow none the less. Gomes out as Well leaves only klavan to cover lovren and vvd.

yes, that's two defenders out for some very important games, both a bit fragile for my liking,
maybe this will push Klopp to buy a class defender in the summer .

Klavan is out as well and can is usually the worst case scenario to fill in at CB (also injured) can't afford an injury to VVD or Lovren now.

cover wise not good but matip is a liability and leaves TAA under pressure when he should use his experience to cover the young fullback watch the highlights of goals against coming down our right and matip is always pushed up out of the line and TAA is left without any CB to cover the inside. Lovren is actually better at this and I personally think gives TAA more confidence. Gomez will be back soon anyways.

Exactly JC23! Matip is a big liability and is slow and seems to have lost a lot of confidence since being dropped/ sharing game time.
We definitely need another top CB. I don't think Gomez will get a lot og game time at CB.

I hate to say it but klopp cost us 2 pts. Poor subs. Why take off taa playing so well and bring on Gomez whose cold. Why bring on origi who is awful and can't hold the ball up. Offside goal that kills us is hard to take and game shows why we need to pay for vvd.

Not a rumour, just any opinion. I think w will offer 30m plus sakho for vvd. Southampton were one of the club's rumoured to be interested in sakho.
We get it man, they get a top quality replacement.
I also think keita will sign but I'm not sure is the end of the world if we don't. We have enough quality in midfield.
Would have liked to see nice pair pereira and nalbert come in but I think klopp is happy now with full back.

It would make sense to offer Sakho to Southampton as part of any VVD deal. Question is. do they want him? And would he agree to go there. Got a feeling he wouldn't.

Hi all. Well the nerves have started although I'm confident we can get the required result. I've read lots of posts about who we might buy and who we have no chance of etc etc, but convinced we will approach saints for lallana and shaw. They fit the profile for fsg and would poss be available for circa 55m. Add a left sided forward and the loanees and we have a squad to compete on all fronts. We will sell some fringe players so rough spend of 45 - 50 m which I believe is possible. Just my opinion.

Kemlyn red. i'm sorry but you are a disgrace. I agree webb was poor but to blame it on him being an ex-cop is ridiculous. The police officers of merseyside and everywhere else in the country do a fabulous job and should be applauded not ridiculed. U cannot judge the current day police on the few who made so many mistakes in 1989.

Absolutely fuming. 2-0 up away from home and br sends a clear message to the players to play keep ball and slow the game down. We should have gone for the jugular. We look a beaten team now. Just thought I'd add. cissokho is awful. He looks like a new born bambi.

Nabil Fekir should be the target anyway irrespective of lemar. The guy is quality and should me much cheaper than lemar. We won't win anything though without a decent keeper.
