Eds it's been awhile!

Its no secret Liverpool has had a string of great Irish footballers wearing the liver bird on their chest and I heard some news today which delighted me!

Young Irish lad zak gilsenan was signed by barca when he was 9 after he was spotted on a trial with Perth glory I believe. He has been in the academy 2 years and the staff themselves have dubbed him the Irish messi. I know the term "the next ____" gets thrown around a lot but at 9 this kid was good, he is. now 11 and is REALLY good!
Is it true his family wish to leave Spain and since Zak has now signed or will be signing soon for Liverpool?

Ed's wats the craic!

So talks are going between. Lfc and barca with possibly Sanchez in the mix of it but of course the offer could be good but Sanchez himself can say no to lfc correct? If this was to happen do you think tello would be the second option? And do you know if Sanchez has made any remarks about his future?

Lastly who do you think will win the world cup? I fancy the Germans but I think a lot of people have a soft spot for Columbia now

Hey eds

With city offloading Sinclair I was wondering could we see Liverpool have a look? I know his playing time has been abysmal this season but on the other hand he is a player br knows very well! If not any idea where he will go?

{Ed001's Note - no and no, there is not much interest in him, he has failed to impress. The only interest I know of is West Ham, and then only if he takes a sizable pay cut.}

Hey eds just curious if Glen Johnson is on the chopping block?

{Ed001's Note - he has still to be offered a new contract. The summer will be when a final decision is made on whether to offer him one or not, but it will be on reduced wages if he does get one.}

does the rumours about soon to be out of contract sagna have any legs?

Also there is another player nearing his contract end that I think could do a great job at lfc, Sebastian Larsson! He has a great pass and speed with killer free kick

Then there is menez of psg. He was a great winger but I haven't watched him much recentl. Is there interest in him?

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any interest from Liverpool in Sagna. Inter showed some interest in Menez over last summer but were put off by an injury. He has said that he would like a return to Monaco but they are not showing any interest. There has been interest from elsewhere including Bayert Leverkusen, Galatasaray, Juventus and Milan. I would not totally rule out interest from Liverpool, but they have not approached the player, his agent or the club at this time. There were discussions over a new contract but I suspect PSG are happy to let him move on.}

If we got Remy for 8.5 as reported that is very nice. Do you know if his clause was 8.5 or just permission to talk to champion league teams?

Also Lambert played for us as a kid so is he classed as a home grown club player for the champions league?

Just curios as to the possibility of Simon kjaer? I know there could be nothing but if I'm correct we did look at him before

Also on a personal note who do you think is our best acquisition so far?

Hey eds 2 questions

1, please tell me the mascherano rumour is a no go! Don't get me wrong he was great for us. But now iI can't see him fitting

2, how did young yesil (I think that's his name) get on? I know he came to us and start racking up goals but if I'm honest I stopped paying attention. Did he impress this year and could he be a back up for the next season?

One more thing, Thanks! It's been a great year for lfc and we have gone above and beyond wats expected! Then eds you have been there the whole way with rumours and facts so well done it was a great season from you guys too!

Anybody else excited about Harry Wilson? The kid really impresses me! I've had the pleasure of playing with him once and watching him against bray wanderers. He is smart and has a very strong shot! The future is exciting

Happy New year and happy New transfer window to you all!

Just wondering if we have reestablished an interest in Nolan roux or luuk de jong but even saying those two I get a fear that they will turn out just like borini and aspas.

We need another goalscorer and yes I know it's not the main focus but could we rely on an aspas lone striker?

If we haven't reestablished our interest in them do you know of us knocking on the door of any other striker?
