I don’t think anyone can say that this result hasn’t been coming for a while. The midfield was overrun again tonight. Gini culpable for the second goal because he is just not strong enough. The midfield collectively are devoid of creativity, always trying to play down the flanks to the full backs and never looking for a cutting pass, the one time we did go down the middle against red star Salah forced the keeper into a save (our only shot on target) . Against Arsenal the midfield was completely overrun by one player (Torreira) .
The front 3 look dead on their feet after a long season last season plus the World Cup, they need a rest, change is needed in midfield, Klopp surely has noticed this in the past few games but I don’t know if he has the answer.

Anyway, away from home in the CL you should be starting your best 11 and put the game to bed before bringing on Sturridge, lallana and Matip if the other lads need a rest
I think Klopp realised this at half time hence bringing Gomez and Firmino on, first time I have seen him make 2 subs at half time.

Ed001 I was just wondering what your opinion of the oncoming UEFA nations cup and if there was any opinion on it by the clubs? Surely with existing international commitments this is seen as a bit gratuitous. Thanks mate.
{Ed001's Note - no mate, it has taken the place of the previous qualifying set up and will also replace most of the meaningless friendlies with proper competitive matches. It is an improvement imo.
Clubs would rather just scrap midseason internationals altogether, and on that point I do agree with them. That is the issue is that all this stop start stop of the club and international seasons does nothing for the fans. You can't get into it before it is put aside for a while. It should be all played in one go.}

I’ve always liked the idea of the season stopping/ starting a month earlier/ later and all the international games played them.
I feel it would benefit the league and international managers, who would be able to actually work with their players and try to make it, somewhat, watchable.

England only made the semis of the world cup without on3 and I've heard nothing about it. Only seems to matter when you go out in the group stages.

There's international the week after. We have just had a world cup. The season's here. Why on earth stop it. Rediculous.

Ed, why would they have to squeeze more games in? Considering players are away playing with their national teams every couple of months anyway, if that didn’t happen, the league wouldn’t need to take a break when there was internationals. So it would finish a month or so earlier. Allowing the time for the internationals at the end of the season - same number of games, in the same period of times, just rearranged :)
{Ed002's Note - If you make the season a month or two shorter then more games (league, cup, Europe) have to be played in a time period which is shorter.}

I would respect anyone’s opinion when they tell me they rate Gini but for the life of me I just can’t see why. He doesn’t have a particularly great pass on him, can’t can’t tackle, gets pushed off the ball easily, doesn’t score and doesn’t assist. If someone wants to tell me why’ve they rate him beyond the semantics of “he’s great in this systemâ€, “he’s underrated†etc.

The reason Spurs haven’t drawn yet is because the games they’ve lost they’ve been pretty well outplayed, coincidentally I’ve watched the 4 games they’ve lost this season (Liverpool, Watford, City and Arsenal) which to me says they won’t challenge, at best they’ll finish a strong third, their squads too thin and they are just not quite good enough to go the distance in my opinion.

Teams are going to be constantly trying to mark him and double mark him out of the game, it happened with Suarez after the 13/ 14 season. What it means though is that it’s going to create space for other players.
