Hi Ed's

I've seen a rumour on line regarding Phillip Max? Know he was mentioned over a year ago. Is there anything new on this?

{Ed002's Note - I assume you mean as a relacement for Robertson?}

1.) 19 Jul 2019 19:15:37
Not really Ed. I know nothing of the guy. I understood we were looking for cover in FB areas. Is he that highly rated he would assume 1st choice status?

{Ed002's Note - Well Barcelona have been in talks over him as an Alba replacement. There were prior talks with three English sides - so yes.}

2.) 20 Jul 2019 11:09:03
Thanks Ed.

But we are Liverpool Ed. Sitting on our bench is surely preferable to playing for a second rate Spanish team or the other 3 English teams?
Or perhaps the guy has a bit of professional pride and backs himself to displace Robbo and play for the European Champions?
Or perhaps you are correct and any decent player wouldn’t possibly consider joining Liverpool because all of our spaces are already filled.
Who knows?

Heard a rumour about Eder Militao from Porto.

{Ed002's Note - Try the search engine.}

1.) 17 Jan 2019 21:30:13
Think I heard that one too. Something about a horse, a goat and 50 kilos of Nutella?

2.) 18 Jan 2019 11:41:12
50 kilos of Nutella. That's a lot of damn money!

3.) 18 Jan 2019 16:07:28
I know Amerigo it’s obscene what these players get paid these days!

Hear we are interested in Sheffield United youngster Diego De Girolamo. Anybody heard anything?

Simply, cried today.

I was 13 years old and not allowed by my parents to travel to Sheffield.

Hillsborough saddened me, I didn't understand how you went to a game and didn't come home.

I went into town and anfield over the coming days. Numbness and raw emotion made my Dad and I closer than I guess we have ever been.

I assumed, naively, people felt the same.

It would be unfair to name the team. But 2 years later as a 15 year old on his first away game I was spat at in the face and called a murderer.

I have never ever doubted the facts. However, it was a stark realisation at a reasonably young age that people believe the shit they read in the papers.

27 years later the families have the justice they deserve.

27 years later the fans can hold their heads high.

27 years later bringing 3 boys up as scourers in Manchester the TV is telling them what their dad always has.

Unbelievable pride in my exiled city.

Lump in my throat and pride in my heart when I heard the verdicts. God bless the 96, their families and our great club.

Not gutted he's gone. Not at all. Not particularly worried about the number of goals that we will miss. We have options. What does concern me is the type of goals that will be missed. The guy has let us all down, but he is undoubtedly a genius. I just don't see where, when people park the bus that genuine creative spark of genius will come from.

1.) Its not a joke, but Rickie Lambert will offer more when people will park the bus. Sturridge and Suarez tried the same things against Chelsea, and we desperately needed another option. Teams park the bus anyway, but when better teams do it, another option is needed.

2.) We didn't need another option against Chelsea we needed to execute the key passes better and have more patience in the build up play, I remember Gerrard in particular smacking a fair few hopeful and long range shots. Neville and Carra analyzed in depth what Liverpool did wrong. I just don't get this myth that sticking a target man would've won us the match. Lambert is a fantastic footballer and much more than a target man. In fact I don't even think Southampton used him as one so we have no way in vouching for his ability in that role.

3.) Suarez got marked out of the game against the big sides and didn't actually score many goals. arguably it should have allowed more space for other players but it didn't as we still tried to play through Suarez as that's what we did.

Now everyone will have to step up and hopefully we'll have more of a threat from four or five players instead of one main threat with sturridge and sterling less of a threat

4.) In the Chelsea match it may not have won it for us, but against teams that park the bus, he will be very useful and potentially a game winner. I still feel we need another star up top, but I can wait another six months or a year if need be. Sturridge is a stud, Lambert and Borini are both worthy of the shirt, and you've got plenty of young'uns waiting in the wings (as well as Sterling, who can play all over the attack).

I can't remember who, Guardiola I think. He was asked who matched Barca's academy throughout Europe. He said only Bayern and Liverpool have academies to rival Barca. This was all done under a significant investment during Rafas time. I think we even paid compensation to secure Rodolfo. I really hope this is the right move, but
I fear not.

Please do a little searching before you use comments like "lack of class". I believe, and will to my grave, believe class and fortitude is what we are and what we have and continue to display. JFT96.

In addition, google Andy Burnham Hillsborough memorial. Yoh will find that football can and has altered politics.

Candyman. We neither crave or require respect from other clubs. The city is bigger than the club. Football is a release from the everyday pressure of life. The way the establishment has treated the city, club and fans over the years is horrendous. I'm not attacking you im encouraging you to educate yourself. You will find many Everton fans who feel the same. You can try and seperate the politics but when politicians lie and engage in the cover up of that transpired after Hillsborough that left 96 of us dead emotions run high. As I said in my OP. Please do some reading.

Happily explain. Her Majestys Government have done nothing but rubbish on the city for decades. If you expect us all to stand and sing songs in honour of the establishment that tried systematically to close down a city you're mistaken. Do a little research. There are multiple examples but google our new PM and comments or Thatcher and Liverpool. As for other clubs we've been a target for years, it comes with success, who cares.

Ive watched Brewster a lot. Prior to his injury. He is an intelligent striker. Makes great runs which on occasion can pull 2+ defenders out of position. Has a cool finish in his locker aswell as tricks and skills. All of this has been at youth level but he is obviously aware that creating space for others is as important as finding space for himself. I can't see him operating from a wide position, but hope I'm proved wrong on that. I assume he has, when fit, been training in the current first team philosophy. I believe we can keep the cheque book closed with him and Origi ready to deputise. Some full back cover and midfield replacements for any outgoing and I think we will be OK.
