Good Evening Eds. Have any clubs expressed any interest in Coutinho or Markovic recently? (Read through posts and can't find anything too recent)

{Ed002's Note - Porto and Bayern Munich were both represented at the Chelsea/Liverpool game toward the end of the season and someone senior at Chelsea is of the opinion that Coutinho was the focus of their attention. But it went nowhere.

Markovic is a different matter, it has not been working out for him but there is no interest in him and, without going in to detail, there won't be interest in a player who has not been playing regularly (and looks like he won't be next season either) if Liverpool were to look to recoup any more than half of what they paid.}

I like Markovich and feel he just needs more time after all he was played out of position. I would have preferred him up front to Stirling.

Sounds like a tricky position, if there is zero interest now at potentially half what was paid in 12/24 months we will be basically letting him walk for nothing it seems to be something we are getting good at. there must be clubs interested in a loan he's not a bad player.

Hey Eds, Great work as always, constantly reading your posts.
A quick question for Ed002, do you think we will be able to sell Coates or do you think he will not want to leave. (I think I remember you saying he is settled and happy to play in England. correct me if wrong).

{Ed002's Note - Coates has made it clear he will return to Liverpool in the summer and if transferred wants to stay in England. Much would depend on what Liverpool would want for the player, or perhaps they could even release him from the last year of his contract?}

I have always liked Coates but we have plenty bodies in that position and will have to be sold to raise funds for more priority positions.

Wherever he goes I'm sure he'll do well though.

Bodies yes, but are we any nearer to a solution? I'm not convinced (espceially after the roasting they got today) any of them are 'the future'

Coates will leave for free if he can get a club to take him on similar wages would be my guess. He's too slow to make it with us but he could be a fine defender for someone like Sunderland.

Hi eds, Just read an article on the Daily Mail about Liverpool and Manchester United owners striking a pact to be strong against 'player power' and keep Suarez and Rooney against there wishes to join other PL clubs unless a 'mega offer' (80m quoted for LS) from Europe comes. I know as well as everyone else that the Daily Mail is only useful mainly as toilet paper and regular updates on Kim Kardashian but this seems the type of thing a couple of billionaire owners wanting to make a statement would do. Is any piece of this true? {Ed002's Note - I think they might be over-playing a simple situation whereby the American owners are not used to the situation we are seeing with Suarez, and rather less so with Rooney. The Glazers are pretty much hands off of such matters, but Mr Henry has shown himself to be a little naive. As for a pact, I hear there was deer found on Interstate 8 in Texas with all of it's organs missing; three elderly men smeared in blood were seen running from the scene. They were described as one wearing a red shirt with Giggsy on the back, one in a red shirt with Suaro on the back and one in a tie-die Grateful Dead 1977 Spring Tour shirt on. HArd to say if the pact is true or not.}

Not sure if this has been asked, can't find the answer anyway.
If Liverpool get to the final against a team who qualifies for the champions league through their domestic league, does the runner up get a spot in the CL?

Hi Eds, Ed002 a couple of questions for you, I regularly read the posts on the site and when people have asked about the next possible LFC manager you have on a couple of occasions asked 'How would you feel about AVB'. Is there any substance behind this remark or are you doing one over on the fantasy football dreamers of Ancelotti or Klopp.

For what it's worth I think we will get better player for the club than Willian, for less money in the next couple of weeks. Arda Turan i'm hoping.

Hi Eds, sorry to bring up the Suarez saga but I just can't understand John Henry's intervention in the matter.Whilst he is the owner and obviously has control over matters why would he say to the media we are 100% not selling him? When, as you have been telling us, he will be sold. He will look toothless and really stupid if/when we sell Suarez to Arsenal or even any club at all now with his recent comments.

Ed001 I don't think any of their players are good enough for the reds at the moment but at a push it has to be Lemina surely!

{Ed001's Note - he has potential, but I would take Hojbjerg from what I saw of the pair in the last few games. Much more suited to the way we play than Lemina, who could be a bit lazy at times.}
