Buvac now being touted for the Arsenal job.

1.) 01 May 2018 12:17:13
Makes sense as to why he must go on gardening leave. No bust up but rather the Arses wanted gengen pressing so much they had to go with Buvac. Can't have Buvac know all our transfer target eh.

2.) 01 May 2018 12:27:51
Stranger things have happened but I’d be VERY surprised.

3.) 01 May 2018 13:45:01
Wouldn't be a huge surprise Ron. Arsenal have a lot of Ex Dortmund staff behind the scenes now, and 2 ex players on the pitch.

If you can't get Klopp, then then next best thing would be to pick his "brains".

4.) 01 May 2018 14:31:46
Buvac doesn’t say “um-a-wella” enough for an Arsena managerl. Jokes aside, I hope we keep him in some capacity. Top bloke and good luck if his career takes him elsewhere.

5.) 01 May 2018 15:22:56
Very good point about the Dortmund connections at arsenal, MK. I’d still be a bit surprised as you’d imagine they would want to go with a proven manager as opposed to a number 2. Some of the very best number 2’s have struggled so it would be a gamble for them. Perhaps he would fancy a crack at being the main man though.

6.) 01 May 2018 15:56:14
This rumour has far more legs because the same Serbian outfit that broke the news about Klopp and Buvac coming to us is the same outlet that has put this out there. Buvac would be an extremely sensible call for Arsenal. I thought it was always understood between Klopp and Buvac that both of them would manage if the chance and desireable options arose.

7.) 01 May 2018 16:35:29
Lfc Hopeful, thing to remember is that Arsenal have a very good director of football in Michael Zorc who has yet to really put his stamp on things because Arsene Wenger is still there. Zorc has clearly been picking the transfers since his arrival though.

Buvac wouldn't be doing much in terms of management. He'd simply be a head coach.

8.) 01 May 2018 23:51:14
So Geggnepressing at Arsenal FC 😂😂.

9.) 01 May 2018 23:53:27
Good luck to him, except against us of course.

10.) 02 May 2018 10:40:36
It must be for individual movie on Severus Snape shot near Highbury.

{Ed002's Note - Michael Zorc isn't director of football at Arsenal.}

11.) 02 May 2018 18:39:01
Michael Zorc should only work for owners called Orson.

“Zorc calling Orson, come in, Orson”.

09 Jan 2018 08:50:20
Would Liverpool go back in for Alex Teixeira.

{Ed002's Note - I wouldn't think so.}

1.) 09 Jan 2018 10:30:29
Alex Teixeira is back!

2.) 09 Jan 2018 10:50:39
Are we still being linked with Joaquin? How about Wesley Sneijder?

Loved the old style rumours where everyone thought we were signing Carlton Cole or Klaas Jan Huntelaar every window.

3.) 09 Jan 2018 11:02:01
Arda Turan was my favourite re-occuring one.

4.) 09 Jan 2018 12:00:23
Not a patch on Simao and Aimar lads.

5.) 09 Jan 2018 12:46:45
Everyone forgetting Keisuke Honda :D.

6.) 09 Jan 2018 13:30:25
Or Kovacic. oh wait that was just Harry ;)

7.) 09 Jan 2018 13:55:49
Don’t forget Ken Auero PMSL!

8.) 09 Jan 2018 14:48:37
don’t forget Correa lads, every single window for the last several years his name has popped up, i’m shocked and disappointed no media outlet has mentioned him already this window! 😂.

9.) 09 Jan 2018 14:54:00
That’s not an old rumor Kwhizz, that’s happening.

10.) 09 Jan 2018 15:01:41
Red Dawn, I posted on the 'Other Posts' section a few days ago my lament that we will not be linked with Wesley Sneijder for the 15th consecutive window, as he has joined a Qatari team.

Wesley Snipes maybe? Playing number 47? ;)

11.) 09 Jan 2018 16:56:44
We can't afford any passengers Zed.

12.) 09 Jan 2018 18:13:06
Nice one mikeh303 i get the snipes movie reference.

13.) 09 Jan 2018 19:04:57
Gaston Ramirez!

14.) 10 Jan 2018 01:38:16
I thought sammy kadiera was a regular crop up.

07 Aug 2017 11:55:23
Ed are psg still interested in coutinho.

{Ed002's Note - The interest is there but they have other players they would prefer ahead of him and they have done nothing about Coutinho, so it is unlikely he will be moving there this summer.}

22 Jun 2020 09:50:14
That game was almost like the Napoli away game from two years ago, bore us all to death and then score in the last ten minutes. Who was their manager then.

1.) 22 Jun 2020 10:10:45
Good point well made. In that context I’ll take a point. Only five left to get.

2.) 22 Jun 2020 10:23:01
Me and my mates noted the exact same thing. It seems in one way or another the defensive two banks of four does cause us problems going forward, something Klopp will note before long i am sure.

{Ed001's Note - every team struggles against that, which is why Mourinho has been able to win so much in his career.}

3.) 22 Jun 2020 13:30:35
AW I think if we had robbo we would of won yesterday, without him and trent all our attacks tend to be down one side which is much easier to defend against. Attack down both and it opens up the two banks of four. That's why I think cover for LB is crucial in the summer, it has a massive impact on our game imo when he or trent are missing.

4.) 22 Jun 2020 14:11:19
How many times at anfield have we faced that problem and away it's not like we ain't seen that before.

5.) 22 Jun 2020 15:09:32
You have a point and a very sensible one WY Red. But unfortunately Mr. Kloppo the Klipperty has other ideas. He seems hell bent in not adding a superior full back who could play either side.

6.) 22 Jun 2020 15:32:54
Where are we going to find this magical full back who is good enough for us on both sides but is willing to join us without being first choice? He doesn't exist.

7.) 22 Jun 2020 16:09:40
It staggers next that we can have shown consistent form over 2 years in the prem, be on track to dominate the league and finally win the title, off the back of winning the champions league, off the back of reaching the final of that competition the year before - and people continue moan about our squad.

If you can’t be happy in this very moment with our squad, I suggest you stop following football.

8.) 22 Jun 2020 16:20:47
“Superior fullback”? We have the best in Europe. We barely concede goals and they’ve assisted around 30 goals in the league? We’d be better looking for a versatile defender who can cover centre back and fullback?

9.) 22 Jun 2020 16:38:07
6 Times

What do you mean by versatile defender? Does he look like the versatile LCM / AM / CM / CAM that a few on this sites are looking for 😂😂😂.
Keeping it simple, We need someone with pace and excellent delivery to suit the way we play.

10.) 22 Jun 2020 17:35:54
Llorente at Sociedad is capable of playing at CB, FB or defensive midfield, as is Nathan Ake at Bournemouth. And both of them are competent defensively. If you want to support a club who buy multiple expensive fullbacks, you could always go back and support Man City, Harry. They buy loads of them.

11.) 22 Jun 2020 18:11:18
6 Times

City has only three mate! Mendy, Walker and Cancelo. Meanwhile city has only three central defenders compared to 4 at LFC. Stones, Laporte and Otemandi.

Liverpool FC has a bigger squad than Manchester city. It’s a FACT.

{Ed001's Note - that's a complete lie. Why do you make up nonsense every single thread? Garcia, Adarabioyo, Zinchenko is 3 more defenders in their first team squad. Then there is both Rodri and Fernandinho, both have played centre half.

Oh and it is only a FACT if you don't include loanees.}

12.) 22 Jun 2020 18:40:16
How about including some youngsters at LFC for full backs and center backs positions? Rodri and Fernandinho are midfielders. Playing at the back doesn’t mean they are one. That’s like Milner playing at left back.
How many youngsters are there at LFC who could play at the back? Van der berg?

13.) 22 Jun 2020 18:44:58
Spot on, Ed. Harry is back again with his mindless rants again, slamming LFC for not doing what he wants or what “insert rival club here” is doing.

Before it was Chelsea. Now it’s City. Does he even know that those three LB’s at City cost well over 100m and are all completely dreadful? So we should go spend stupid money we don’t have just to say we had as many LB’s at City, right?

And why should we do what City is doing when we have rendered them irrelevant this season? And why should anyone listen to someone who thought Naby played LWB vs Everton?

{Ed002's Note - Manchester City have two LBs, one of which only cost £2M or £3M.}

14.) 22 Jun 2020 18:50:35
I think if Harry means regular starting players on them positions I'd have to agree with him.

15.) 22 Jun 2020 19:36:33
Thank you Ed02! You are my only hope 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Just to add 6 Times
Zinchenko is a midfielder and not a full back. There you go!

{Ed001's Note - you might want to tell Pep and Zinchenko that then. Zinchenko is the cheap full back Ed002 was no doubt referring to, so you might want to wake up. As for not including the young ones, they are not relevant, no one was leaving them out, just you were trying to make up stuff again by ignoring anything that doesn't fit your latest agenda.

If we are going to include reserves from Liverpool, then why not dip into City's reserves as well? Or does it only count when it suits you? You were the one saying that we can't count or use Milner as a defender. You wanted to use him in defence as a stick to hit Klopp while holding up Pep as an example to follow, yet you are now saying he does exactly the same thing by using midfielders in defence. So which is it Harry?}

16.) 22 Jun 2020 19:39:51
Angelino gone again Ed02?

{Ed002's Note - He is on loan and wants out.}

17.) 22 Jun 2020 19:52:10
I think you are missing my point Ed01. Why would I hit Mr Kloppo the klipperty. Liverpool do need a fullback and it has nothing to do with City or any other club. The way they play full backs are the most important element.
If you are happy with Gomes and Milner there then good luck.
Now as for the squad, LFC have a big squad. Make no mistake about it. You could discount a few numbers but the squad is as big as city if not bigger.

{Ed001's Note - I am not missing any point, you are simply harping on about something that has been said many times before. Everyone knows we need a left back, but that is no reason to slag off Milner for covering there. Gomez has played there just once because of a shortage of options due to 2 injuries. Why would anyone even refer to that? You do because you have your agenda and you will go to any lengths to make your point over and over and over to the point that is long past tedium.

What has the size of squad to do with anything? Every team in the Prem has a big squad, that is just irrelevant.}

18.) 22 Jun 2020 21:16:53
Sorry Harry but you are wrong. You have been beating Klopp up since he got here and until you allegedly left this forum to go support City on their page, all you did was slam Klopp by using the very baseless arguments you are using now as in, using what other clubs/ managers like Chelsea with Mou and Conte or Pep with City to beat up on him and LFC and how we would win nothing with him. You are known for doing this so just own it.

Klopp is going to win the PL right after winning the CL, and he would have done that HIS way. Not yours or mine and I an thrilled about that.

I still maintain, why would anyone care what someone who does not even know where Naby Keita played last night or who thought he played LWB last night, has to say about anything LFC related for that matter? Just asking for a friend.

19.) 22 Jun 2020 21:37:52
Red Meister.
Why do you reply to my post if you think I know nothing about the game lol. Like every time you missed the point. I have no agenda for Klopp. He is no my uncle or aunt lol. Owes absolutely nothing with each other. He is the manager of the club I support. That’s it.

20.) 23 Jun 2020 00:13:13
Wait, why is Harry even in this forum. I rarely post but is this not the same guy who switched allegiance from LFC to City. then we won the CL and will soon life the PL? City is legit and Pep is top class but seriously? Does he not have any shame?

21.) 23 Jun 2020 02:02:09
People shouting about having a replacement for Robertson also think he is the best in such a role in the world. I assume. well how will you get a 40-50m player to sit in the bench? isn't that what happened at city? With sane? besides we don't have the money to spend anyway. I believe in klopp. as long he is there I think we can believe in the recruitment. besides isn't it time getting silly? I mean just draw a game and start shouting at Klopp? pep wins a game 4-0 5-0 and we draw a game and suddenly it's the end of the world? I think after this season Klopp would be the most successful guy amongst the two in England wouldn't he? just believe in Klopp we nly need 5 more points for the league. and how are you ed01? How's the life been treating you mate?

{Ed001's Note - I am ok mate, just hoping things return to something like normality soon. How are things with you?}

22.) 23 Jun 2020 20:53:25
Rubbish, Harry. You don't support LFC and I can prove it. Just 18 months ago you said that you were not an LFC fan and that you were a "Football Fan" (whatever the heck that means when you were on here beating up on Klopp cos he would not do what you wanted.

Also, you went to support City for a while there. What LFC fan abandons his club to go support the Evil Empire in City? A non LFC fan, that's who. As Pete Colo posted, why are you still here whereas you were a City fan a year ago?

So what changed, man? Needed to be a City fan for a while to know where your allegiances lie? And now conveniently, you are back supporting LFC right after we bodied your old team City into submission and about win the PL, LFC has now become the club "I support". Yeah, you supported us so much you went to support City cos you thought Klopp would win nothing with us. How times have changed.

12 Nov 2019 10:21:23
Salah's goal on Sunday bore a resemblance to Terry Mc's classic against spurs in 78. With Andy robbo playing the Stevie Highway role.

1.) 12 Nov 2019 11:49:35
I thought the same, Hughie.

2.) 12 Nov 2019 11:56:32
I mentioned and spotted that too.

3.) 12 Nov 2019 12:39:01
Can't post the Youtube link so if anyone wants to look it up, search for Terry McDermott Spurs 1978 7 - 0.

4.) 12 Nov 2019 14:35:33
More interested in Liverpool 7 spurs 0 lol.

5.) 12 Nov 2019 14:44:19
Now that was a brilliant goal. Bakedbeanboy, was that the goal where the ball never touches the ground off an LFC goal kick and then Terry Mac smashes a brilliant volley to the other top corner? If that is it then, I remember seeing that goal as an 8/ 9yr old. NEver gets old.

03 Jun 2019 10:13:03
We won it in Wembley
We won it in gay paree
In 77 and 84 it was Rome
We'd won it 5 times
We'd won it 5 times
Till we went to Madrid
And won it 6 times.

1.) 03 Jun 2019 14:35:33
what happened to Istanbul?

2.) 05 Jun 2019 17:05:44
HUGH MUNGUS,
great effort, but we need to move on with new songs, much prefer:
LETS TALK ABOUT SIX BABY,
LETS TALK ABOUT ORIGI,
LETS TALK ABOUT RAFA, FAGAN, JURGEN KLOPP AND BOB PAISLEY,
LETS TALK ABOUT SIX.

02 May 2019 12:33:54
I know everyones feeling a bit down today, but at the end of the storm and all that. A bit of perspective for everyone, less than four years ago we were losing to Stoke 6-1
We've come a long way.

1.) 02 May 2019 12:52:36
Hugh mungus (were you in the classic "the big lebowski")?

You're totally right mate. I was so gutted when suarez scored as it was against the run of play. Matip played better than VVD last night. Big v's was perhaps too cool when suarez hit the bar. He should have been there to clear the rebound. don't want to knock him, he is amazing, many great teams and great players have been humbled at the nou camp.

I have a feeling Barcelona will get a shock when they hear You'll never walk alone. The place will be bouncing and bobby will be back.

If we win nothing, i am still IMMENSELY proud of the team. They have given us another exciting season. Klopp has brought us on miles! Just the fact that utd are miles behind us makes me smile. Everyone thought ole was going to turn it around. They were wrong.

We will be in the champions league again next year, in a higher pot (i believe)

Eds and reds, will we be in a higher pot for the draw, for next seasons cl?

2.) 02 May 2019 13:17:23
If we support the team and show them that nothing is impossible we are going to smash them 5-0 at home.

3.) 02 May 2019 19:43:12
OP, you don't have a short memory and I love that. That loss to Stoke still haunts me and it keeps things in perspective for me whenever things don't go our way this season. We played well enough to score 2 goals at least BUT our mistakes and lack of clinical ability, were punished by Barca. We failed to punish their mistakes and at this level, you will get beat if you let teams like Barcelona off the hook like we did.

Oh well, it's all gone now. Let's just get ready for Newcastle and then give Barcelona ALL they can handle and then some at Anfield next Tues. and then, who knows? If any team can overturn a hopless situation, LFC can. We have it in our DNA and even the Barcelona fans know that.

15 Apr 2019 10:33:01
What's everyone thinking about the man city v spurs game. If city win puts another couple of tough games onto them, and obviously if they lose makes the champions league more open.

1.) 15 Apr 2019 12:39:47
The ideal scenario for me would be for City to scrape through against Spurs, who would then go through to the next round and get a schooling by Juve, and Spurs would then exact revenge in the form of a big performance in the league. I feel like if City were to get knocked out they would pick themselves up very quickly and concentrate that anger on winning all their remaining league games.

2.) 15 Apr 2019 13:14:12
I’ve been saying the same as Woolback. We want City to have more games with a semi final to play and we want Tottenham to owe them a revenge beating for knocking them out. Worse case scenario City focus on the league and want revenge against Spurs.

3.) 15 Apr 2019 13:16:17
Nah I want city to lose in the CL, spurs will be deflated if they lose and I don’t think they are the kind of team to fight back. City losing is what’s needed, remind them they are beatable.

4.) 15 Apr 2019 13:40:49
I think we need Spurs to ride momentum into the PL match at the weekend. If City comeback and knock them out of CL m, I can see Spurs being deflated and getting hammered on the weekend.

5.) 15 Apr 2019 14:26:05
I would hope for 1-0 to city to take it to extra time then city to take it on Pens. Takes an extra 30 mins out of citys legs, they get the win (extra two games) and may become slightly complacent and spurs go out for revenge on Saturday.

6.) 15 Apr 2019 16:30:12
Not stopped debating this in my head since spurs won the first leg and i still can't decide so will watch the second leg on the fence.
We need to be perfect for 4 games and city need 5 wins so id say at this point we are favourites looking at the fixtures, obviously its 2 outstanding teams so its so hard to call, if they get past spurs and utd within 4 days which will be really tough, they still need to go away to burnley and vardy likes playing city too so hope won't die until its gone, on the flip side we could have it wrapped up before the last game, incredible season to challenge.

7.) 15 Apr 2019 21:38:14
I wouldn't like extra time actually. It would take 30 mins out of spurs legs too. And city have far better quality if rotation is needed.

Ed, don't you think Hodgson should be under pressure to get more from that palace team. At the bottom end every season when they should easily be getting top half.

{Ed001's Note - they don't have a striker worthy of the name and that means they are always going to be under pressure at the bottom half.}
