Liverpool could be interested in signing Bournemouth's David Brooks in the Summer? Just some info I got given today.

George Harrison

1.) 12 Nov 2018 23:35:52
This would make no sense to me but thanks for the info mate.

2.) 13 Nov 2018 16:14:31
It would make sense to me in the fact that Brooks is young, versatile and technically very able. A replacement this Summer for Lallana/ Milner. He's having a good season so far with Bournemouth. That's part of what the lad who has some knowledge of our dealings told me. We've also been tracking him since his Sheffield United days but other priorities last Summer (GK and Midfield) so we passed up our interest, thus he went to Bournemouth.

A couple of weeks ago I got a bit of stick for saying Klopp needed to change it up otherwise we would, eventually, suffer. Yes, we won this afternoon, but once again, we were subpar. I saw a superb comment earlier that said that those who see no problem with our performances currently will be asking questions when we eventually drop points - by then its too late.

I said that Klopp was in danger of his attacking system becoming stale or "found out", I also believe that the likes of Keita and perhaps Fabinho are not being utilised correctly and thus we are losing out on their talent. This is not a rant at Klopp - far from it - defensively we are the best we perhaps have ever been in PL era, aside from Rafa. But, it is shortsighted to believe the current performances can continue to yield success.

Our luck will run out eventually. We can't afford to be arrogant and assume we will be "fine", particularly when we are facing a team that almost went unbeaten in the league last season and a resurgent Chelsea with a resurgent Hazard.

Well let's get one thing clear, absolutely nothing posted on this website has an impact on the actions of Liverpool FC. When we eventually lose, it will not be because some people here thought nothing was wrong. Read Klopp's interviews, he knows it's not all good on the pitch right now.

Anyway sorry to pick on just this post but I've seen it for years here; some fans are eternally optimistic, maybe some even deluded, then you have people telling them not to be as if anything we do here has an impact.

2.) 21 Oct 2018 12:05:33
Don't think any team is playing anywhere like 'wow that was brilliant' yet. There has been change in the coaching setup with Buvac’s departure added to the WC and these internationals hopefully it will click soon. Beat spurs and PSG drawn city and Chelsea . 2nd on goal difference in prem playing flat ( compared to last season) beyond me some of the gloom merchants.

3.) 21 Oct 2018 13:21:21
I’m kind of thinking we will get caught out soon, but at the same time we are conserving energy for a long season. City look impressive again, and we will need them to drop points, but as long as we keep going like this, we will be in the mix. I think the fact Keita Fabinho and Shaqiri have barely got going yet is a positive, as they will come in and hopefully improve us. I’d say in January, we just need a left back to back up Robertson, as we’re okay if we lose Trent Gomez or Van Dijk (just), but Moreno would be a weak link. Otherwise, I feel any players needs a Rest and we are okay, and that’s a position we haven’t been in in a long time.

4.) 21 Oct 2018 14:57:56
I do think we seem to be playing a lot slower than last season because we are more comfortable playing the ball round the back. but 1 goal looks like it is going to be enough most of the time now which is a bones. As last season a lot of the time 2 goals where not enough to win games sometimes even 3. everybody was having a go at Mo for the first few games but I think are biggest problem is Bobby is not playing well. and when he is not on form the team looks half the team it does when he is firing, but form is temporary class is permanent.

5.) 21 Oct 2018 15:57:13
What a bizarre response; I very clearly understand that my comment will not be read by anybody at the club, you are clearly missing the point. This is a talk page, we have banter and discuss all the ongoings at the club. My post was simply saying to fellow fans let's not get arrogant and that we should always strive the highest standards. Its got absolutely nothing to do with me saying "Oh lads look my post will have a direct action at the club".

6.) 21 Oct 2018 19:18:33
George Harrison is my favorite Beatle. Hugely underrated in my opinion. Absolutely love his music. His first solo album was brilliant in my opinion. George, I really believe that Klopp is pacing the club this season. Last year the club was spent at the end and sputtered at the end. We are deeper this season and so much better defensively. I understand your points in your initial post but I truly believe that in the second half of the season they will absolutely take off. The reason I believe that as strongly as I do is the fact that in matches like yesterday, we would have dropped points in the past few years. Looking at the Huddersfield and Spurs matches in particular give me reason for optimisim this season. I agree we shouldn't be over confident, but I feel good about our position right now.

7.) 21 Oct 2018 21:20:59
Firmane we need a bit of creativity in January in the fekir mold we needed that in summer as the midfield is good but limited and the attack can always go stale as we are seeing, left back we have Adam Lewis the Scouse Roberto carlos.

8.) 21 Oct 2018 23:28:57
That's a really fair comment Stone. I agree that perhaps we are conserving energy for a stronger run and also we are coming back off a world cup year. Maybe I am a little pessimistic!

9.) 22 Oct 2018 00:34:05
I really don’t know what you’re going on about. I watched the 2017/ 2018 PL review the other day and until December 2017 we were not playing well. Losing to city and Spurs heavily, drawing against Watford, losing to Bournemouth etc.
We can’t play like we did against City or Roma at Anfield last season in every game.
We are doing enough at the moment like all good teams do when they are not 100% at it. We will improve. We’ve lost 3 league games out of the last 38.
Yes we will lose games but we are a very, very good team. I think that City have raised the bar so suddenly everyone moans if we don’t blitz everyone 5-0. That’s not reality guys. As long as we are winning just enjoy it. When we lose keep the faith and support the team.
Let’s just enjoy the ride.

10.) 24 Oct 2018 08:53:21
I agree Hailstones. If Adam Lewis continues to develop and improve he's going to be one he'll of a player. Absolute wand of a left foot.

Time to ditch the 433 and time to ditch the midfielders that played tonight. Get Naby and Fabinho as a 2 in mid, it suits them both much more than in a 3, add Shaqiri as a number 10 and stop expecting the 3 in attack to do and win everything on their own. Lallana and Matip just aren't good enough, simple as that.

George Harrison

1.) 06 Nov 2018 22:40:36
With ya there George we bought these players too improve the squad we needed too add quality in summer too midfield and we playing the same players from last year, klopp needs too show faith in the new blood, I would rather have players like Harry Wilson and Curtis Jones than lallana they are the future and young and hungry .

2.) 06 Nov 2018 23:55:14
George, pretty sure if Naby was fit, he would have played. If Hendo had been fit, I'm sure he would have played as well. Fab needed to play BUT Klopp prolly protected him cos had he had a bad game, the knives would be out by some. So for them to play, they need to be fit.

As for Lallana, I hope his fan club can now see what many of us have been saying for a while now. He is not good enuff for our team anymore. He is too slow, lacks pace, can't press and injury-prone/ ravaged. We need to keep improving the midfield during transfer windows and get adequate cover for the fullbacks and CB's as Matip is a lost cause. We must improve.

3.) 07 Nov 2018 00:19:33
I am pretty sure Markovich would have done a better job than lallana or would say na na na.

18 Sep 2018 23:56:24
About time that the "Henderson hate brigade" packed it in, as tonight he has showed (just as he did against City and Roma last year) how important he is to the team. Never panicked under pressure, never shirked a challenge and was organising effectively in midfield. He will never be the flashiest player or a Luka Modric esque player but he is hugely effective in games like tonight, thus, he deserves to be shown a lot more respect than he is currently given. This section of the fanbase that thinks he is always wrong need to stop now - what more does Henderson need to do?

George Harrison

1.) 19 Sep 2018 01:07:10
Harry will only support Henderson if he morphs himself into a combination of Kante, Jorginho and Kovacic.

2.) 19 Sep 2018 01:52:01
He was outstanding, a real captains performance.

3.) 19 Sep 2018 02:07:58
Nothing. Thanks George!

4.) 19 Sep 2018 07:53:54
He was fantastic tonight. I remember seeing him make 3 challenges in three different areas of the pitch in under 30 seconds!

{Ed001's Note - spot on, but those who hate him must have all had their eyes shut during that as they are still saying he doesn't do anything.}

5.) 19 Sep 2018 08:50:01
That's because to some people, 98% of the pitch is irrelevant - if you're not a goalkeeper and don't score, you haven't contributed. Sad really.

6.) 19 Sep 2018 10:09:47
It's funny you say that Ed1 mate because since last night I've seen comments online saying how he had a great game yet he's not good enough for Liverpool and should be sold/ have his captaincy stripped from him.

This really winds me up to be honest and I find it really disrespectful towards him, he was arguably the best player on the pitch last night or in my opinion he was anyway but it's not just about last nights game, when the lad is fit he's bloody quality all of the time.

He always puts a shift in, his work rate is just top notch and it really does show! I love the lad, I think he's quality. I reckon by the end of the season people will be changing their opinions of him because I see him staying fit and absolutely smashing it!

In my opinion the people the people who talk about him like he's no good aren't watching him properly or enough.

{Ed001's Note - they will never see it mate, they don't want to see it because they have made their minds up already.}

7.) 19 Sep 2018 10:39:21
True Ed and that's what frustrates me, we can all be wrong about players but when they do well how about giving them the praise they deserve, its not hard is it.

I'll be the first to admit, when he first joined I wasn't happy about it one bit! But how glad am I that he did sign! I wish more people would get behind the lad but it seems people just love comparing him to Gerrard which is completely irrelevant.

Anyway, on my way out to see if we can book a break away! Whatever you are doing today Ed stay safe and enjoy your day mate :) .

{Ed001's Note - oooo where are you taking me?}

8.) 19 Sep 2018 11:59:36
“Where are you taking me? ”

Up the khyber?

9.) 19 Sep 2018 14:03:38
To heaven and back?

10.) 19 Sep 2018 18:33:30
lol Ed we were looking all afternoon and still booked bugger all! quite annoying tbh, we don't know where to pick! might just go to the lake district for a few days, never been there but apparently it's a nice place to visit.

{Ed001's Note - I have never been so can't say, but I have heard it is nice. Personally I would rather go on a footie stadium tour or something though!}

11.) 19 Sep 2018 18:18:26
Did someone call me 😁😁. Must be about Jordan Henderson 😌.

12.) 19 Sep 2018 18:52:18
You and me both Ed mate (the things you have to do eh lol), a couple of months ago there was a national coach trip to Liverpool, I think you stopped there for 2 nights but also got the Anfield tour as well, £99 per person which I thought was pretty good, I was too busy with work at the time to do it but really would've liked to of taken my boy there! it may of just been the 1 night but either way would've been a nice little trip that! I've never done the Anfield tour but apparently its brilliant!

{Ed001's Note - that isn't bad that. I have never done the proper tour, have had a couple of tours of the ground but never the official ones like. And not been since the redevelopment. God I miss Anfield.}

13.) 20 Sep 2018 18:04:41
Tell me about it Ed, it's been far too long since I was last there. I'd love to go watch a big game at some point, you know like a derby or a CL game but the problem these days is getting the tickets lol it's a right pain in the arse! maybe one day though if I plan it properly, now I have more time though I'd bloody love to go back even if it is just for the tour, that'll do me just fine! I just want to get back inside there again lol.

My Mrs just isn't interested in football at all so shes not in on coming but I just know if I took her to Anfield she'd love it, who wouldn't? I should blind fold her shouldn't I and say 'we're going somewhere amazing just trust me on this one! ' not a bad idea actually that is it hahaha!

People making a problem out of nothing, the idea that there is an issue between Salah and Mane is strange. Salah has talked many a time of how Mane helped him settle in to Liverpool when he joined. A couple of wrong decisions does not equal a dislike between the two. Healthy rivalry is brilliant as we saw with Suarez and Sturridge who elevated their game to great heights, almost took us to the title and were not selfish. Please can we stop this idea!

George Harrison

1.) 17 Sep 2018 12:23:13
Journos need something to talk about. They have not made the best decision in the past few games but it will get better.

2.) 17 Sep 2018 12:35:19
Boom! There we go, good post mate.

3.) 17 Sep 2018 12:38:55
I don't think its so much a problem between Mane and Salah, but that Mane's best friend Keita now plays for Liverpool. They always look to pass to eachother when they have the ball and it is getting a bit predictable now and may be a detriment to the team in the future.

4.) 17 Sep 2018 13:56:40
There is a recent feature on the two lads online called bezzies. Not quite bezzies themselves they admit that they aren't closest with each other in the squad but do get on well and seem to understand each other.

Salah said he is closest with Lovren. He said also Mane was the person that welcomed him the most in beginning and spent time with him but admitted that Mane does prefer to spend time alone and was not close with anyone in the squad until Naby arrived.

Mane then confirmed this and joked that he hopes Naby gets to know everyone soon so he can spend less time with him.

It seemed to me they are very open and comfortable in their relationship and I don't think there is anything to the story.

5.) 17 Sep 2018 16:13:34
Redhead. Mane had a pass to Keita for a certain goal, that he didn't play. He swiveled and tried to score himself. Players have to make split second decisions. They don't always get them right. Let's not read to much into it.

6.) 17 Sep 2018 17:27:01
Not a personal issue but a professional issue.

Mane is as good as Salah and he knows it!

7.) 17 Sep 2018 17:48:15
It all started with the penalty situation in pre season, I mean journos kept the thing alive when they made wrong choices. I do really hope there is nothing between them.

8.) 17 Sep 2018 18:32:50
All of this will be forgotten when they both assist 2 each for each other tomorrow as we beat PSG 5-2. Shaqiri will get the 5th obviously.

9.) 17 Sep 2018 19:14:13
Surely Sturridge gets the 5th?

10.) 18 Sep 2018 05:52:48
What journo’s are keeping this story alive? Sounds more like Twitter nonsense that people take seriously.

All well and good saying that Klopp is trying to manage us through till the "crucial" section of the season but what if we AREN'T in the running by that point? We have very difficult games to get out the UCL group now against Napoli and Psg away - never mind thinking about the run in at the end of the season.
