Eds & Reds,

I have seen previous reports that Bologna maybe interested in taking Borini, however this morning a newspaper is reporting they are mulling over making a move for Balo. Their Director of Sport, Pantaleo Corvino, has apparently said that they would even be interested in taking him on a permanent!

Fact of fiction?

Fowlers Nostril

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any interest from Bologna in Borini. Corvino has of course said that he would take Balotelli to Bologna but they have certainly not spooken with his agent at this time and I suspect it was a throwaway comment.}

Morning Eds & Reds,

With us potentially looking for a left sided forward/winger, have we considered Lavezzi of PSG? I remember him being quite prolific at Napoli a few years back with both goals and assists.

Had completely forgotten about him since he moved to France, has he been playing regularly? Is he happy over there? Would he consider a move to England? A few reports on the web are saying spurs are in for him at £15mill which seems a steal. I know we can't go for every player eds but surely someone we should be looking at if he is available?

{Ed002's Note - There is some interest in Lavezzi from several clubs including Zenit, Spurs, Inter and AC Milan. I think it might simply end there with "interest" unless quite a significant offer is made. Perhaps next summer will be a time to move.}

I remember a while back one of the eds said that there was to be an exodus of players from Bayern this summer with Pep making his stamp on the squad. Is one of those players leaving Luis Gustavo? I know its a bit MOTD fever, but he looked a beast last night in the cup final againt Spain, nothing got through him. Are any clubs interested? {Ed002's Note - Inter Milan.}

Morning Eds & fellow Reds,

I'm seeing lots of rumours and newspaper reports claiming the deal for Aspas has been tied up, but figures are being quoted between £6-10m. His parent club, Celta Vigo, are in a relegation dogfight with 1 game to play (Espanyol on Saturday). My question for you Eds is this. If they are relegated will we see a lower price i. e.6mill? Or if they remain in La Liga will we have to stump up more towards the top end of 10mill?

I have never seen him play, hope Brendan has unearhed another gem here as it looks pretty nailed on.

Thanks as always for all the hard work Eds,

Fowlers Nostril {Ed001's Note - the price is agreed and not related to that at all. They would need it all just to survive relegation anyway.}

Morning Eds,

Telegraph today are reporting that Liverpool have recruited two more senior scouts from Manchester City, while manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted he will retain the final word on transfer targets.

Thought I'd share the good news!

Cheers for the hard work and great site

Hi Eds & fellow Reds,

Watched the Preston game the other day and noticed when Alberto came on in the 2nd half he was playing deep in midfield (alongside Lucas I think?) I thought he played up top? Saw one his highlights video online and saw him banging in the goals for Barca B!

Hope we're not trying to change his role.

Hi Eds & fellow Reds,

Not a rumour but more of a question. If for some reason the Mickey deal falls through could Hamsik of Napoli be an option? He scored 11 goals last season and assisted 17 in all competitions. I know the Eds dislike talking money, but how much would be enough to prize him away? Or reach his buy out clause if he has one? At 25 he looks like a class act. Are any other clubs interested?

Cheers for all the hard work as always Eds,

Fowlers Nostril {Ed052's Note - Hamsik isn't an option. He would demand a hugely excessive fee.}

Afternoon Eds & fellow reds,

Is it just me or is anyone else skeptical about the possibility of Benteke joining LFC as a Suarez replacement?

I understand he has scored a lot of goals this season, but Villa play a different system to us which suits him hands down. His game is very similar to Carrolls in my eyes, and on the back of 1 successful season makes a worrying comparison to when we signed AC. It has been implied that we are shipping AC off as he cannot fit into our style of play, which begs the question as to why we are interested in a striker in the same mould as a previous 'failure'? Don't get me wrong, he's a great player - strong, good in the air and a potent shot, but just not great for LFC IMO.

Pace, skill and the ability to beat a man should be some of the attributes our new front line should posess, a good shot would be necessary as well.

Would be great to hear everyone elses opinions

Not sure why Klavan gets so much negativity on here, he hasn't set the world on fire but has been admirable when needed.

I agree with the OP that Ricarlison has been setting the PL on fire this year, just not sure where Klopp would fit him in. Doucoure has also come on leaps and bounds, I rate Marco Silva.

Have kept a watchful eye over him after some great performances over the festive period. Looks to be a class keeper in my eyes
