Sorry if this has been dealt with but is there an offer from Palace for Sakho?

Finglas Red

{Ed002's Note - Not a new one but I am expecting one - as mentioned in the Sharkopod which is awaiting upload by Ed033.}

1.) 11 Aug 2017 14:45:27
Can't wait for new sharkpod, definitely keeping my eyes out for this one. Cheers ed002.

2.) 11 Aug 2017 17:23:10
Apparently Palace weren't great defensively v Shakir bar Reidewald, who was very good, so they need another CB still.

3.) 11 Aug 2017 15:42:25
Thanks ed appreciate the info as always.

{Ed002's Note - You are very welcome.}

09 Aug 2017 14:10:24
Any chance of ings going on loan? Maybe to Burnley now that ward is moving to Watford?

Finglas Red

{Ed002's Note - On the basis that he needs to be eased back in after a lengthy spell out with injury I think a loan would be unlikely this summer.}

1.) 09 Aug 2017 14:23:04
I think he needs to be eased back after the time out he has had and that needs to be carefully managed. He could be a useful option at the second half of the season if he has fully recovered.

2.) 09 Aug 2017 16:45:30
He will play lots of games for the U23s this season, and will start from the bench in the FA Cup and League Cup.

3.) 09 Aug 2017 17:14:01
A bit of an extreme example, but Daniel Menzel, who plays for the aussie rules team I support has had 4 knee recos. He did his last one (hopefully) in 2013. He played his comeback game in the back end of 2015,but is only now getting back to his best. Any of those major knee type injuries need to be managed carefully.

As an aside, anyone who is into sport in general, might want to look up "Dan Menzel — A Long Way Home" on youtube. pretty decent doco.

4.) 09 aug 2017 17:32:07
any chance origi goes out on loan?

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool are not looking to loan him out.}

5.) 10 Aug 2017 09:25:30
And why should he go on loan when he's already been on loan at Lille already, Taa?

27 Jun 2017 09:20:11
Hi Ed's, any idea what the clubs plans are for the likes of Randall, brannagan, steward, chiravella and ojo, do they have any future at the club?

Finglas Red

{Ed001's Note - Chrivella and Ojo are most likely to be loaned out, the others are available.}

1.) 27 Jun 2017 10:03:47
Thanks ed the your info is appreciated as always.

{Ed001's Note - you are very welcome.}

2.) 27 Jun 2017 14:04:02
Madger Gomez has gone to Leeds and I thought I saw somewhere that Branagan and Randall had new clubs or at least offers.

26 Jun 2015 21:22:45
Sky Sports saying Liverpool and Sunderland have agreed a deal for Coates. Is that true?

Finglas Red

{Ed002's Note - Yes - subject to a few things - medical, work permit etc..}

1.) 27 Jun 2015 02:37:00
How much ?

{Ed002's Note - A tiny bit over £4M.}

2.) 27 Jun 2015 06:52:03
Good luck to him.

3.) 27 Jun 2015 07:34:24
Thanks ed

4.) 27 Jun 2015 09:47:51
I know it's unbecoming to talk about money (!) but we paid nearly double that for him.

Shame he didn't work out, brute of a fellow & in 2011 I suppose he was a good buy after Copa America.

Good luck to him.

Now, like Jay-Z said, "on to the next one".

5.) 27 Jun 2015 10:24:32
Such a shame better things didn't happen for him at Liverpool, will always remember his goal against QPR. Good luck to him at Sunderland

6.) 27 Jun 2015 10:50:41
Well said Super.
I was there that evening to witness that overhead bicycle kick, what a goal. Best by a central defender I have ever seen.
All the best to the big lad.

7.) 27 Jun 2015 11:38:44
All the best to him but money wise we are doing very well to get so much. I suppose we are lucky they may be comparing him to Verghini in training!

8.) 28 Jun 2015 10:38:43
Can't see him getting a work permit it's hard to get one when u move to Sunderland from Liverpool !!!!!! Will the Sunderland government except him

{Ed001's Note - he doesn't need a work permit, he has dual nationality.}

24 Jun 2015 13:36:32
Hi Ed's thanks for all the great updates
Just wondering with the club being open to loaning out Markovic, are they looking for him to stay in PL or willing to send him to anyone that will take him?

Finglas Red

{Ed001's Note - they want him to go somewhere he will develop.}

1.) 24 Jun 2015 14:42:09
I don't understand logic in sending him on loan. I think he can k play regularly as he performance very well for Serbia. Eds hope you elucidate the matter.

{Ed001's Note - because he played poorly last season and his confidence dropped. He needs to ensure he gets regular first team football.}

2.) 24 Jun 2015 15:32:32
Maybe we shoud've paid more attention to what Mourinho/Chelsea said about him before we signed him last summer - that he wasn't ready for the Premier League and needed more time with Benfica. Am I right in saying they could've got him for well less than what we paid but knew he wasn't ready? Hopefully a loan move helps because he has potential, showed it in patches last season.

{Ed002's Note - Yes, but Benfica and Chelsea were happy with the deal.}

3.) 24 Jun 2015 18:49:53
Hopefully the Prem if anywhere. Ibe isn't going to be loaned out is he?

{Ed001's Note - he is not intended to be loaned out.}

Flanno off to rangers on a free to reunite with Stevie G.

1.) 09 Jun 2018 11:01:40
I don’t condone his recent behaviour but what we are starting to be made aware of is how the darkness of mental depression can affect rational thought.

One moment he is living the dream as a Scouse Cafu and shortly afterwards he is rotting in Burnley reserves after terrible injury woes.

I wish him all the best with his personal demons. Get some help lad and start a fresh in Scotland if that’s where you end up.

2.) 09 Jun 2018 11:08:05
Who cares where this poc goes?

3.) 09 Jun 2018 11:55:46
Brisbanelfc, some fans have short memories! I take it you feel it was ok for firmino to drink drive because he’s one of our top players? No wonder ed02 gets pissed off with our fans with ridiculous comments like that.

04 Jun 2018 08:30:59
Eds does anyone know how Klopp meeting dembeles mother for tea and biscuits went? Did we break out the good China and chocolate Kimberly or did we cheap out as usual and give her some rich tea, your info is always appreciated :-) thanks for all the info have a great summer lads.

Finglas Red

1.) 04 Jun 2018 09:32:26
He took her to the slots in Bray😁.

2.) 04 Jun 2018 10:29:16
Ahaha nothing wrong with bringing a lady there. Nothing wrong with meeting a lady there either🤪.

Lfc site just confirmed fabinho, yes get in.

Finglas Red

1.) 28 May 2018 21:12:57
Good player who gives us something that we don't have enough of.

I'm pretty happy with this one.

2.) 28 May 2018 21:24:11
Protection for our back four!

3.) 28 May 2018 21:55:13
and goalkeeper,

17 Mar 2018 22:47:37
Ed's, I was just wondering how you rate Robertson, I think he's developing really well and do you know if Klopp is happy with him for the future i. e. not actively looking for a left back, thanks.

Finglas Red

{Ed001's Note - well personally I use a choice modelling system to rate him but I believe Ed003 favours using maximum difference method.}

21 Aug 2017 10:02:30
Hi Ed's, i read that De Boer said Sakho is too expensive, do u think a compromise can be made by Liverpool since he has no future under Klopp?

Finglas Red

{Ed002's Note - We have already been around this loop with Stoke and West Brom. Liverpool are hanging on as long as they can but will need to do something.}

1.) 21 Aug 2017 10:19:13
We've been so clear with wanting rid of him, that I do not understand how the club can take the non-negotiation on price stance that they seem to have.

We don't have any leverage here, take £20m, free up the wages and move on.

2.) 21 Aug 2017 10:24:02
Perhaps we need to lower the initial fee and bump it up with some performance incentives or sell on percentage. Pointless having him sat around our club drawing a wage when he isn't going to be selected.

3.) 21 Aug 2017 10:55:17
He is worth more in todays market.

They have the money but are crying poverty.

4.) 21 Aug 2017 10:59:38
30 million can't be a lot for Crystal Palace these days. I think someone's telling porkies.

5.) 21 Aug 2017 11:15:38
Lower the fix price and just copy&paste the variable part from Barcelona's offer for Coutinho. ;-)

6.) 21 Aug 2017 11:24:23
Palace like any other PL club isnnot short of money. I hope both clubs sit and reach a point. He is worth more than £20 mill. He saved them from relegation!

7.) 21 Aug 2017 11:39:30
Well we've only ever spent 30 mill or over 4 times in our transfers. So it's not like it's pocket change.

Could any I the eds or anyone explain how it is possible for agents to be able to demand a huge fee, can it stop a transfer if the player wants it but the buying club don't agreed the the agents fee demand?

Wasn't Mane meant to have a bad attitude when we signed him and he hasn't been any trouble at the club.

Ed just wondering does he want a specific role in midfield and is worried he'll be second fiddle to hendo?

Finglas Red

{Ed001's Note - he wants to play regularly, especially with a world cup coming up. He is not bothered if it is the deep role or the more advanced role, he just wants to play. There is more than just the return of Hendo to worry him, there is the fact Couts (if staying) is likely to play deeper a lot of the time. There is the attempts to sign Oxlade-Chamberlain and Keita, who would both want a berth in the centre. Then there is Robertson coming in, meaning Milner will also be vying for a spot there.}
