Ed002 can you remember that Serbian winger Liverpool signed for £20m a couple years back, meant to be one of the hottest prospects around at the time, Lazar Markovic? Will he ever be given a chance or will he just be rotting away out on loan in the primera liga? Cheers eds
{Ed002's Note - Liverpool will look to sell Markovic in the summer - there remains a residual issue which would mean that some clubs would not be interested but I have no doubt that the player and those folks who represent and have an interest in him will be happy to look for a permanent home so he can get his career back on track.}

Afternoon eds! With the club desperate for a full back now, has Hysaj of Napoli ever been of interest to us? He's young so fits the FSG style and is a rare full back in that he loves a challenge, similar to Flanno.

Hysaj is an excellent defender. I watched some Napoli matches last season to check out their LB Ghoulam, but the guy who really looked like an excellent player was Hysaj. He likes to go forward, but his defending is where he stands out; loves tackling and has a physical style of play.
No interest from us though.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any bid for JW from Liverpool. Discussions with Monaco ended in nothing. Cerny is of interest to another EPL side but not Liverpool - he is certainly not EPL first team ready just yet but much is expected of him.}

Ed002 can you remember a few weeks back I said a family member of mine works in Leipzig and said how Liverpool scouts were looking at Sabitzer? Speaking to him last night just about football and the bundeliga. He was saying 4 premier league teams, one bein Spurs were looking at A lad called L. Oztunalli? Was on loan last season from Leverkusen? right sided player. Would one of them teams be Liverpool? Thanks ed.
{Ed002's Note - Werder Bremen were certainly interested in taking Oztunali on a permanent deal and Hamburg looked at taking him back - but I am not aware of any English sides looking at him although there were clubs scouting Grillitsch.}

Nice little rumour for you. My cousin has just come home for 6 weeks from his job in Germany. He lives in a city called Leipzig. Anyway he goes to quite a few of there home matches and he was saying last night a few times this season Liverpool reps have been there scouting an Austrian lad called Marcel Sabitzer. I've neve heard of him, meant to be a very versatile player can play anywhere across the front. Eds, have you got any thing in this or informations on him?
{Ed002's Note - Marcel Sabitzer was a player that Rodgers had Liverpool scouts look at. Prior to that time on loan and early this season it would be a while since Moyes had him watched when Sabitzer was at, as I recall, Rapid Vienna.}

Good little player but his price tag will be ridiculous and we’d get much better value elsewhere in Europe.
Plus if we lose Milner, a seasoned veteran and our vice captain, I’d like someone to be brought in of genuine starting 11 quality to push Ox, Gini, hendo and Keita (I don’t include Fabs because he’s nailed on for me)

Ed’s, I saw a few posts back you mentioned Nicolas Pepe was valued at around 70mil, I’ve seen a few rumours about the transfer recently where the market value is more around €40. If the actual value is closer to that mark, do you see that as a more realistic move?
Lile all be it having had a fantastic season, Liverpool would still be a massive step up for him. I know a few comments will shut this down as “you can’t sign a player of that value to sit on the benchâ€. I don’t agree with that at all. You earn on your place in the training ground, players get dropped, Squad rotated. How many times throughout the season have our front 3 looks knackered but not being able to swap it about due to drop in class.
Controversial comment, I haven’t meant to cause any offence, I just think it’s a view that’s not always appreciated on this site.

Is bonucci being eyed as a possible option if VVD doesn't work out? Seems a much better centre half, brilliant on the ball and I believe he's made more succeful long ball passes than any other player in the Serie A.

Evening. question for any eds wanting to answer aha. Anthony Knockaert, Brighton. Been consistantly scoring and assisting for a few seasons, yes it's in the championship but I'd say the gulf in class bar the top 8 of the prem isn't that different from the top of the championship. This season so far he's Scored 13 and assisted 7, and only 24 I believe? Just wondering have Liverpool thought about a move or has any club looked at him. Left sides attacker as well, on the wing or behind a striker. Thanks for your time eds.

In my opinion and understanding (eds please correct me if I’m wrong) Liverpool were right to ask for a lower fee. Full medical details should be provided by the selling club. During a medical they spotted a knee injury they weren’t told about. Hear it all the time in reference but - if you bought a car and the past owner hadn’t told you the head gasket was on the way out you’d return it or ask for a lower price, no? Also ups nd down season? 9 goals 7 assists? And a decent champions league. He’d be a great addition. But I do wonder what that means for Keïta or Ox.

There are plenty of proven left backs, who could well be persuaded to join LFC, for some reason we believe we don't have to pay high prices for good players. However extortionate for mediocre players.

Why Allen out? I prefer him to Henderson. I might get a lot of backlash from that but he's shown his class at the euros if he's given that role. Very rash decision giving Jordan the armband.
