Hi guys, Midlands based Red here. I've heard from a friend close to the Baggies that they're taking a look at Benteke, not sure if this is true or not but thought I'd share.

Nice to see I'm not the only red from the midlands! I was starting to worry.
I don't know about this Benteke rumour as I'm still a trek away from Brum, but I know a fair few Leicester fans and they all seem to think LCFC want Joe Allen to replace Kante, but only if the Mendy deal doesn't go through.

Obviously the big talking point at the moment is Luis to Barca, but do you know if we are in negotiations regarding any other players on their way out yet?
I know you've already discussed various players we are looking to move on this summer and we all pretty much have an idea of who's likely to leave. I just wondered if anyone was aware of any contact or offers?

I remember reading lasr year (Decemver I think) that we were looking at one of the Bender twins, wasn't Twitter, I don't use it. I assume it was BS but just wondered if there was anything in it?

Hi All,
Got into work this morning and my boss had heard we've just signed someone this morning. Anyone have any ideas who it might be, might be referring to the paper talk regarding Matip, but wanted to check to see if anyone had heard anything? Cheers.

I think many people would believe someone signed if someone takes a minute out there day to tell them. his boss must be a plonker or maybe the boss is the gullible one by not checking his facts.

Hi Eds/Reds,
I know you don't like talking numbers, especially due to all of the complexities involved in a transfer, so I'm not going to ask about numbers but, it does seem that with the players brought in already, those that are seeming soon to be done and other positions we are looking to strengthen (like a new LB) and awful lot of cash is going out. Do you think this is due to the owners knowing LS would be leaving and spending the money first, or would we have spent this much anyway with the CL next season?
Also, I'm sure this has already been asked but haven't noticed a response, are we looking for a replacement for LS or just strengthening the squad as a whole?
Sorry for the long post, keep up the good work!
{Ed001's Note - it is both, we spent some of the money from Suarez and some we would have spent anyway. We are trying to strengthen the team, though a forward is part of that.}

Sunday Times reporting BR is considering breaking current transfer policy by making a £10m bid for Xabi, I'm sure it's either just guesswork or complete BS, but just on the off chance has anyone else heard this recently?

Just a couple of questions, thought you might be able to help?
1) a lot of our outgoings, and prospective outgoings seem to be the English lads, with plenty of foreign talend coming in. So would I be right in thinking that with a lot of the youth players coming through we will still be well above the 70% minimum homegrown players? (And as an aside as Enrique is still eligible to play for England which category would he fall into?)
2) doesn't MK technically play the same position as Alberto? The reason I ask is that people seem to be moaning about us missing out on our "No1 target" yet Ayre clearly stated on LFC site that young Luis was our primary target for that position and we got him?
